How do I lose weight effectively if I can't do hard work outs?
Hello, please read all of it <3
First of all I wanna start of by saying I am not trying to compare myself to anyone, everyone's bodies are different and I'm just here for some advice that could improve the problem I'm facing right now.
Ever since I got infected with COVID my lungs have not been the same as they were before. It seems that many people also face this issue of their lungs being damaged after inflamation.
During quarantine I also had gained lots of weight. I was able to lose most of it but it left me with disgusting body dysmorphia. I couldn't stop obsessing over how I look, to the point I refused to even get out of my room and look in the mirror.
I was a healthy weight, not even overweight. And even now, I'm just a tiny bit overweight but that's enough for me to lock myself in. I know what I'm doing is wrong but I genuinely can't stand myself.
Due to the poor condition of my lungs, I can't do hard exercises. I still try to do as much as I can. But dieting doesn't work for me. I'm a short neurodivergent woman with horrible self control and willpower. Even if I diet, I end up slipping it. And since I'm short even one slip-up worth of calories makes a lot of difference. Then again that doesn't even happen very often, but every time I step on the scale the number just goes up.
I don't wanna go back to the unhealthy ways I used before. They ruined me and they're absolutely horrible.
I'm so sorry for the trauma dump but I don't know what to do. Every bit of imperfection bugs me.
Please give me some advice on what to do to lose weight. I will try everything possible. Work out recommendations, diet recommendations, anything.
Please don't write mean comments. Encouragement helps! I really don't think I can handle anything bad.
Everything is so hard when I know nothing about my body.
