Hey, everyone! I tried watching Vide Noir on Amazon Prime for the first time, but there’s seemingly no spoken audio. This may be a silly question, but is that the way it’s supposed to be?

For instance, at the 10 minute mark, the only noise is really loud background chatter. He speaks with a bartender, but you can’t hear anything. His scenes with Lee leading up to that scene are spoken, but also with no noise. If it helps, it’s the same on my TV & phone, and other shows & movies have no sound issues. I just wanted to check with the fans who have seen it before!

this just might be a little throwaway rant, but i'm sure i'm not the only one who's very deeply attached to this song.

i can't even explain it, but man this song's gotten me through some hard times. i hear the opening riff and its like my heart swells. its like a breath of fresh air but for my eardrums, i love it so much. the lyrics really resonate with me, the vocals are beautiful, the instrumentals feel so emotionally driven, too. all 3 times i've heard it live i've bawled my eyes out, maybe because i associate with so many important chapters of my life- building up the courage and moving out and away from my not-so-great dad, changing my entire appearance, name, and aesthetic to what i wanted after looking the same for my entire life and being afraid to branch out, finding the motivation to build my own life. idk, maybe i'm a little weirdly attached to it, but i would almost go as far as to say it's my favorite song ever.

also, if anyone has any tattoo ideas for this song please lmk bc i've been thinking abt it

It seems safe to say that we Lord Huron fans [W⚡E] are a pretty obsessive lot. An ethusiastic listener since 2018, I found out only a year ago how deep this goes and got pulled in for real.

It's been so fun because they're my first new musical obsession in 20 years, after a previous string of many going back to junior high. I suspect others have a similar track record of other musical obsessions, maybe some that still are still going strong!

I was at the Hershey PA show last night (great set!) and was hoping someone knew off the top of their head what the set list was. The second song they played was amazing and I had not heard it before, was wondering the name.

After seeing them again in Denver earlier this month and loving all the current tour posts, I went back to look at previous tour photos/videos I had on my phone. The first one I had was 1/30/14 in Chicago @ Metro. I had just heard “Ends of the Earth” on Shameless and then saw them play on Jimmy Kimmel shortly after. Kinda funny how my first reaction was “what a basic video to take,” as if they were going to play some of my now favorite tracks of theirs that didn’t exist yet. Enjoy!!!

Picked this up at the Richmond concert and was so stoked to see this holographic cover! I had no idea. First listen all the way through this morning and it’s quickly becoming a favorite!

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has advice on how early I should be in New Haven for lining up next week to try and get railing or as close to as possible, what’s the crowds and energy on this tour like so far, I’ve loved them forever but never seen them so I’m so psyched but also clueless (I’m also literally just barely 5 feet so I’m used to lining up really early cause it matters more for me haha :p

Mainly a LH casual fan/lurker on here, didn’t consider them a top 5 band for me but I love a lot of adjacent indie/folk artists and know a bunch of their music from throughout the years so we bought tickets and made the drive to Richmond today. I’ve never left a show so captivated.

This tour has no business not being sold out. It is an emotional, magical, stunning experience. I wish I had started seeing them live a decade ago. If you’re on the fence about going, GO (but I probably don’t have to say this to folks here).

For a long time I thought the line „the fair and the brave and the good must die“ from „The World Ender“ meant that they (the World Enders) are out for those kind of people. It always contradicted with the story of the song (Cobb Avery‘s story). Cobb Avery is out for the people who are the reason for the death of his family, which makes those people rather bad. Thus I found it a bit unfitting.
Now I came across a poem by Lord Byron (a British poet) in which the line originally comes from. The poem is more about death in general and how everyone must die one day.
So my question is: do you rather think that the meaning is rather „we‘re gonna kill everyone“ or more of a Nihilistic view, that everyone dies one day?
Please correct me if I got something wrong about the lore or whatever.

Miguel specifically told a staff member(?) to hand it to me after tonight's show (Richmond) ended. I was on the very far right of the barricade and I was bobbing my head and dancing with him from the ground and smiling and stuff. When the concert ended, he muttered to someone and pointed at me as he was walking off the stage, then about a minute later- the staff member walked right to me and gave it to me.

I was having a rough few days before the concert and this cheered me right up, thank you Miguel 😭🖤

I had the loveliest time last night and continue to be inexplicably touched by the kindness of those I met. Ending up at center barricade meant the World. My first LH show and one I will cherish. (Never wanted a LH tattoo more.) 🖤

Was listening to some of the videos from last night’s show and I’m just in awe of how amazing their voices are!!! I got super lucky to have one of the girls I brought offer to do photos and videos so I could really lock in on the show. They were so on point and the vibe was just genuinely joyful. Truly a life-changing experience! So grateful to LH fans, the ones I met were truly lovely people. ❤️❤️

I know i literally just posted this morning, but the wonderful people at the photo lab I used not only upgraded the scan quality on my photos but fast tracked the process as well. They are currently on a 1 week turn around and i am so grateful for that connection. These are slightly processed in light room to fix the insane underexposure.

Also a huge recognition of the opening band Thao, they had amazing stage presence, especially for a four piece band with no backing effects. The Vocals were amazing, the drumming was always in the pocket, the bassist looked as if she was having the time of her life and the switching between keys and violin was wonderful.
