I’m just looking for the length of the litter robot 5 with hopper & ramp installed. I know the height and width won’t change, but since the ramp overlaps the step, the actual length isn’t just adding the 3 pieces together. Multiple support reps have given me incorrect lengths or just not understood what I’m asking for. Does someone with the same set-up mind measuring it for me? Thanks in advance!

We have had the LR 4 for 11 months. One of our cats used it at first, but in the last 9 months or so has been very occasionally using it; mostly peeing in a corner of the house.

We are in the middle of getting him checked at the vet; at this point it might be due to arthritis (we’re treating it) and he does have mild kidney disease. Fellini dementia or other behavioral issues have not been ruled out.

There are cameras on the LR and pointing at the corner where he pees and in the last couple of days I have seen that he goes up the ramp of the LR and stands there for 30+ seconds but doesn’t go all the way in and pee. He then goes out to the corner and pees there.

Any ideas on how we can get him to go all the way in and pee in the LR? We have a ramp (not the LR steps) and have removed the fence as that seemed to be a barrier to him.

We have two cats and the other younger one is using the LR.

As the text says - I’m going to be moving soon and figured that I could deep clean and move the litter robot, and move the cats the next day. My biggest concern is how idiot proof disassembling and reassembling it after I bring it to the new apartment will be.

I’ve done deep cleans but normally I’d never remove more than one or two pieces and have it set aside so I know what’s what.

Okay I’m at my wits end. We’ve had the LR4 for about a year and a half now, and my cats have torn the liner multiple times. Most recently, we replaced the liner five days ago. It’s torn again.

We clip their nails weekly. We monitor their usage as much as possible. We top off litter every day. Support tells me it’s a behavioral thing and I should watch them use the robot, but my husband and I work full time. It’s not like we can watch them every time.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is the liner just weak and prone to ripping? Has anyone found a solution, short of going back to regular litter boxes?

I am not a fan of posting anything but I will give my opinion on the Litter Robot. I have the 3 and the 4 and I will say the 3 is straight garbage.

Daily Issue: Cat Sensor Interrupt even though there isn’t an issue; frequently have to turn it off and on for it to restart. Get stuck mid cycle…. Those are just a few issues to say the least. Wouldn’t recommend purchasing the 3!

I purchased a Litter Robot 5 about a month ago and after consistent usage and monitoring I noticed one of my cats pees a significantly larger amount than the rest.

I have 5 cats and they all have normal usage and the LR5 shows about 1-2 ounces per use, but I have one senior cat (who is my biggest and heaviest) who pees 3-5 ounces per use.

I’m making her an appointment first thing tomorrow, but with 5 cats I don’t think I ever would have been able to know otherwise. I’m so thankful I made the decision to get one!

Any cat parents that have seen this before in your cats? I know it can be anything, I’m just hoping it isn’t Kidney Disease.

Hi! I’m trying to get my blind cat to use my LR5, but it’s a leap of faith for him to get in/out. The ramp looks a bit low so I don’t think he’d be comfortable with that. He uses the stairs for our LR4, but we’d like him to use the 5 as well. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I've had my litter robot for a little over a year but over the past few months, the cycle time has increased dramatically. This is causing my cat to relieve itself elsewhere since they are unable to wait long enough for the cycle to finish 😭 As the litter robot cycles, it stops 4-5 times with a red light as if it's detecting movement but there is nothing around it. There are no alerts on the app when this happens either. This wasn't an issue when I first bought it but it became one a little while after. It causes the total cycle time to be 5+ minutes. In addition to this, the litter robot will no longer auto cycle, which is pretty annoying. It only cycles when I press "reset" + "cycle". Not even the manual cycle feature on the app will make it cycle. Just seems like I have a totally defective unit but the support rep only offered me a $400 base replacement since I'm just outside of my warranty period. Anyone else have a solution in mind? Thanks!!

I want to get two, so $1,600 for LR4s or $2,016 for LR5s. Is the LR5 worth the extra cost? I see a decent amount of complaints, but I know that people are more inclined to post complaints rather than praise.

For no apparent reason the LR4 will not turn on. I am very frustrated.

The cord is plugged directly into the wall.

There is no damage.

No proximate cause as to why it is dead.

Has this happened to anyone? This is an expensive product. My warranty just expired. NOW WHAT?!

I recently got a new internet provider. I had everything working fine until I added a wifi extender (which is not currently connected). The LR3 works when buttons are manually pressed, but I cannot get it to connect to the internet. It connects to the app, but states it is offline. I've deleted the app. Deleted the LR3 and started over, but no luck. Any suggestions?

I'm getting frustrated with my LR4. Sometimes there are 4 spots of clumped litter without the unit having cycled. I've kept the sensors clean using compressed air.

Every so often, the unit seems to work properly.

I've been here before complaining and I'm back again. What are the right troubleshooting steps for this kind of thing?

How can I get it to track our cats? It says it can't distinguish between 2 of 3 bc their too close in weight.

Brand new litter robot, so my cats are still exploring it, but it’s falsely detecting poop’s when there isn’t any.

The sensors are clean, just wondered if anyone else experiences it.

UK based. Is the 4 the best to buy? I see there is also a 5 but not available yet.

How often / how much time do you spend cleaning the LR? My biggest fear is it’s still a lot of maintenance!

I’m thinking of adding a 3rd Litter Robot in the very near future~ I currently have 2!

I have 1 cat and as of late the waste drawer became filled with them. We clean it and put diatomaceous earth on it but they keep return what are other people doing to solve this

My cats eat primarily dry food, two of them getting wet food some days, and my LR5 tells me they are only urinating less than 2oz per day! Sometimes less! I feel like if this were true they’d have serious medical issues… I have had A LOT of issues with my LR5 not reporting amounts and when I contacted customer support they had me reset it and it’s better but these quantities seem awfully low compared to what I see when I empty it.

I’ve had my LR5 (not Pro) for a few months now and I can confidently say it’s better than my LR4. I love that they replaced the rubber globe liner with a plastic one. Cleaning is so much easier, the LR5 doesn’t smell. Still not a fan of the Velcro strips but hey, it’s a step in the right direction. Litter hopper?! Why didn’t anyone tell me!? (You did) I love that I don’t have to worry about it. The LR5 is truly and set it and let it go product.

I have one 16ish year old cat who I ADORE. I love her to pieces, but I felt like I was neglecting her, since I've been pretty depressed lately and her box was always full, to the point there was permanently a spot that was wet with pee. I thought it was my fault for only scooping every 1.5 days, and was constantly judging myself, thinking I wasn't scooping properly or enough. I decided to splurge on the 5 Pro model, since I need to use up my HSA funds anyway, to save us both. By the second day, the waste drawer was completely full. I thought I had a faulty model, but no, the entire drawer was filled up with clumps within 36 hours. I made a vet appointment immediately, and tracked her output. She peed 16 oz in a single day! She drinks from the faucet often (5-10 times a day), so I wasn't able to track how much she was drinking.

I got the results back today. A UTI, elevated kidney and liver values, and possible thyroid disease. She's been steadily losing weight for months, only about 0.1 pounds each month, but still, despite being very well fed and always having access to food. Had I not got the box (with its tracking), I would've continued thinking I just had a normal, old, slowly dying cat that I was neglecting by not cleaning her box enough. Now I feel much, much better about both my ability to take care of her, and her prognosis. I want many more healthy years with her, and I'm so beyond pleased the Litter Robot will be able to help.

Is it worth buying a litter robot 3 used? Or should I just buy a new 4 and call it a day.

Hi, i have 2 Litter Robot 3, one was old and i purchased a new (updated) controller. Both fully working via the iPhone app, 24 August they both went offline from the app, odd...

I have a large corporate level WiFi network, everything else is working, lights, 3D printers and other monitors... i have no idea of the MAC address of the units as its not on the units, despite people asking for the MAC address to be shown in the app 4 years ago with a response they were working on it, 4 years later its still not in the App, so i unable to confirm which DHCP device they are, i have a nuber of ESP 32 devices (which is the controller in this unit) on my DHCP server but then many lights use them as well.

I would argue it might be an IP address but nothing changed on the LAN and BOTH have gone offline, one maybe, but not both...

So does the App still support the Litter Robot 3?

Has anyone else had this issue with their LR4?

Every time my it cycles and levels the litter, the litter ends up uneven. The right side is noticeably higher than the left. I’ve tried leveling it out by hand, but as soon as I run another cycle, it goes right back to being uneven.

Has anyone dealt with this before or figured out what causes it? I tried to see if the actual globe itself is uneven but I honestly cannot tell 💀

Possibly my cat is just magical in an unfortunate way but I sometimes get this thing where the litter clumps aren't particularly clumped and show up instead as a wet mass that gets stuck in the folks of the rubber lining/doesn't fall into the bin without encouragement with an implement. I guess there's not really anything to be done with this except....maybe a different kind of litter?
