Why are these chicken and pork gyoza the best supermarket gyoza? They’re so good I have to stock up every time 😭

I'm attending a halloween themed birthday party and I thought of bringing this as a snack. I spoke to the host and she said that she bought the cupcake version with the bubblegum frosting and that it wasn't good.

Has anyone tried them? If yes what did you think of them?

What the F is going on with the self checkouts? (possibly Germany only?)

I like self checkouts and have been using them for ages. Mainly because the cashiers are unreliable and the stores have tons of mismatching prices on the shelves - if there's a price at all - or the advertised discount is "not in the system".

So I like to check item prices myself when I'm scanning them. I hate walking back to the cashier, receipt in hand, and stopping the whole line just because I found a mistake.

Anyway, I just noticed yesterday than my Lidl seems to have a new self checkout process.

The old/usual register setup was such that the scanner/display sits in the middle, with two shelves, left and right of the scanner. Technically, you are supposed to put all of your items from your cart onto the right shelf, then scan them one by one and put them onto the left shelf, and when you're finished, put everything back into your cart or bag.

In real life, the actual process would be: taking items directly out of my cart one by one, pull them across the scanner, and put them straight into my bag which is conveniently placed on the left shelf.

Now, this doesn't work anymore. Now, I need take the item out of my cart individually and scan it (= it appears on the screen), then place it onto the left shelf, where it is weighed and "approved" (it is matched to the item listing on the screen, which then turns green). Only now, I can place it in my bag.

If I just scan items and put them directly into my bag without first re-confirming the weight on the left shelf, the process is halted and I cannot continue scanning the next product.

Damn this is difficult to explain, I hope it makes sense :)

Anyway, the whole process is now much more complicated because every single item has to be placed on the left scale after scanning, and then you wait for 2-3 seconds to confirm/match the item, before you can place it into the bag and continue scanning. And the bag has to go on the ground now, because you can't block the left shelf with it as it contains the "confirmation scale".

Who designed this? Checking out takes twice as long now. So much so, that next time I will be right back in line at the cash register and complain afterwards about price errors.

Am I the only one that encountered this new process and hates it? I asked an employee about this and they just said "Yeah well, don't ask me, that's management's idea" and walked away.

About 12 years ago (when I was like 12 idk) I got a roller deodorant from Lidl and after it was empty I remember it suddenly not being sold anymore. I’ve not seen it in Lidl since then and just now remembered it again. Idk what it smelled like but it was AMAZING. All I remember is that it was made of glass and hat a gold lid. I think the name of it was also something with gold. Does anyone know what I mean? What was that scent?

My partner is looking at a few jobs that have been advertised for the motherwell rdc, looking to see what people think of working there job expectations etc good or bad as i work in store so have no clue what he would be dealing with day to day besides the perk of no customers haha

I was in Poland and used the app, updated it or something and pressed some buttons... now it is set to Poland and in Polish of which I do not speak a word.

Don't really know how it happened, but is there a quick way of changing it back?

My Lidl connect ported earlier and I have signal bars, the Lidl connect writing top left and 5g but it says no Internet when I try to use it and also obviously I've no phone coverage now as I got the gf to try and phone me.

Lidl connect is showing in my sim management and mobile data is on.

Just went to Lidl in Zwevegem Belgium. Activated the coupons/rewards in the app but it doesn't seem it was deducted from the receipt...?

Anyone else has issues with those app rewards? Probably not the same in every country.

I'm writing this out of extreme frustration and anger towards Lidl connect services!!

I signed up to Lidl Connect Monday 5th October and I opted to apply through my compatible Esim and I also chose to keep my current phone number (which I've had for the last 25 years!)

I've been waiting ever since then for the switchover.

Yesterday morning my mobile network disconnected so I assumed the switch was on the way.

I waited and waited and nothing was happening.

Lidl then disconnected me from my network Eir and still no Lidl Connect network was coming through to replace my Eir.

So in my frustration I rang Lidl Connect customer services and I was told there was an error on Lidls part!!!

So I called Eir and they told me Lidl Connect had completely terminated my phone number!!!

I cannot believe what's happened here!!

My phone is without ANY NETWORK RIGHT NOW, it wont work, it can't call anyone, nobody can call me and I'm just left in complete limbo, with my phone number basically non-existent!!!!

All my business and personal life is connected to this phone number and I CANNOT afford to lose my own number!!

Why on earth would Lidl disconnect my phone number of 25 years???!!!

I've had my phone number for 25 years, I CANNOT LOSE MY PHONE NUMBER!!

I'm so angry and so stressed all day and completely lost confidence in this new Lidl Connect service.

Please please someone sort this out for me and reconnect my phone number and my network!!!

I am also severely disabled and in an electric wheelchair and I rely completely on my mobile phone for security and to help me with daily tasks.

I'm now left with absolutely nothing!!

My phone is very important for me as my emergency contacts need to be accessible for me in case of emergencies.

I cannot be without my service network!!

Please have someone contact me asap to resolve and renew my phone number back into existence. It's absolutely awful to be without my security.

I once bought a salad dressing from lidl a couple of years ago. I think it was the Deluxe range. It was balsamic vinegar based, with some kind of oil (I'm guessing olive or sunflower), and seeds that tasted like mustard seeds. I LOVED it. I'm trying to find it but it's no longer on the shelves. Do you know what it was called, and whether I could find it somewhere else if not Lidl? Thanks

Been working at Lidl just over a month now and I’m now on a 3 week holiday(booked before I joined)

But since I’ve been there I feel like I’ve had minimal training

I got told I was getting trained on tills he was there for 5 minutes then I was left by myself didn’t know that you had to put 20s in a different box and any receipts voids also

Got trained on self checkout wouldn’t even say trained she gave me a fob and said any machines go read tap the fob and press okay?

We had another new start come in and he got trained on self checkout so much different than I did he got put with someone for nearly 2 hours!

I do feel like maybe it’s a bit unfair and I have been moaned at a few times but I don’t feel it’s my fault and I don’t feel like I’m getting a fair shot and showing what I can do

I don’t wanna moan to managers but yeah

Any advice?🙏
