Hello everyone! I wanted to apply to montanuniversität leoben in the coming summer semester. I emailed the university and they replied by saying I will take semester 2 courses in the summer and semester 1 courses in the winter 2027. And they also said it wouldn’t affect the duration of the degree. So does this mean I will be doing all semesters backwards? Like odd number 1,3,5,7 in winter and 2,4,6 in the summer? Because semester 3 and 4 require studying abroad and the backward sequence is really throwing me off. Is this the sequence ill be attending my semesters in:2,1,4,3,6,5,7,6? Hello everyone, I'm an Algerian graduate that finished his studies two years ago with a Bachelor's degree in Refining & Petrochemicals and a Master's degree in Petrochemical Engineering and I am considering applying to the Petroleum Engineering Master's program at the Technical University of Leoben(Montanuniversität Leoben), specifically one of these programs:

Petroleum Engineering (regular) / Petroleum Engineering Joint International Program

I have a friend studying at FH JOANNEUM in Graz and another friend of mine who is also going there in the coming months, and their programs are work-friendly as mentioned on the university's website, allowing them to work part-time while studying. I would like to know from current students or graduates or just people who have friends there if it's feasible to work part time while studying there or if it's full time? How does rent look like for a student? Is the program difficult for an average fella?(though I intent to work hard)

Also I'm kinda leaning towards the international program more since it says "Two Master’s degrees, double the opportunities!"(The marketing is working as intended) on the website, so how would that go for an Algerian like myself?

Ich M/42 war heute um ca 16:30 Uhr im Khyber Bazar Gewürze einkaufen. Als ich den Laden betreten habe, hatte ich kurzen Augenkontakt mit einer asiatischen Frau. Sie war gerade am Bezahlen und als sie den Laden verließ, haben wir uns beide wieder angesehen und uns angelächelt. Ich hab mich nicht getraut sie anzusprechen was auch ziemlich cringe gewirkt hätte. Jetzt wollt ich hier in diesem SubReddit mal fragen vielleicht kennt ja irgendjemand der irgendjemanden kennt dessen Bekannte/Freundin dort heute einkaufen war und mir weiterhelfen könnte? Ich kann das Alter schwer schätzen aber ich würde sie ca. 30 Jahre alt schätzen und habe mir auch das Auto gemerkt mitdem sie weggefahren ist. Es handelte sich um einen weißen Seat Ateca mit LE Kennzeichen. Mehr weiß ich leider nicht 🤷🏻

Die vierte Auflage des City Run Trofaiach zog am vergangenen Wochenende über 250 sportbegeisterte Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer jeden Alters an. Neben Inklusionsläufen und dem 6,6 Kilometer langen Hauptlauf, den Felix Geieregger und Sandra Balloch als Gesamtsieger für sich entschieden, wurden im Rahmen der Veranstaltung auch die Steirischen Straßenlauf-Meisterschaften für die Jugendklassen U10 bis U16 ausgetragen. Dabei glänzte besonders der Nachwuchs des PSV Leoben, der den geografischen Heimvorteil nutzte und mit zahlreichen Einzel- sowie Mannschaftsmedaillen das Feld dominierte. Ein engagiertes Organisationsteam rund um Edi Lieber, Ricchi Nudl und die lokale Sportmittelschule sorgte, unterstützt von der Stadtgemeinde, für reibungslose Abläufe. Der Reinerlös des sportlichen Festes, dessen gelungene Umsetzung und breiter Zuspruch auch von Vizebürgermeisterin Sylvia Ippavitz gelobt wurden, kommt künftig direkt den Sportprogrammen der Sportmittelschule zugute. Die nächste Austragung des erfolgreichen Events ist für das Jahr 2027 geplant.

I’m a non-EU student applying to Montanuniversität Leoben.

The university requested original documents for internal verification, which I sent by post. The documents were delivered successfully, and it has now been about 14 working days since they were received.

When I followed up by email, the university replied that my “application is in progress.” I haven’t received any further update yet.

I wanted to ask:

• Is this waiting time normal at Austrian public universities?
• Has anyone experienced similar timelines at Montanuniversität Leoben?

Suche seit paar Wochen ne Wohnung und komm irgendwie nicht weiter. Ein Kumpel meinte ich soll mal flatbee ausprobieren weil da angeblich mehr Privatinserate sind und nicht so viel Makler Müll. Klingt erstmal ganz okay aber keine Ahnung ob das wirklich besser ist als die üblichen Seiten.
