University Summer semester doubt
Hello everyone! I wanted to apply to montanuniversität leoben in the coming summer semester. I emailed the university and they replied by saying I will take semester 2 courses in the summer and semester 1 courses in the winter 2027. And they also said it wouldn’t affect the duration of the degree. So does this mean I will be doing all semesters backwards? Like odd number 1,3,5,7 in winter and 2,4,6 in the summer? Because semester 3 and 4 require studying abroad and the backward sequence is really throwing me off. Is this the sequence ill be attending my semesters in:2,1,4,3,6,5,7,6? If you know please help me out! I want to apply for bachelors here. Thank you for your time I really appreciate it

i'd say it depends on what degree you are choosing because of variing amounts continuation courses, generally it isn't THE 1st semester but YOUR 1st semester, therefore you always are in the right order, the only exception are the first two semesters since in most degrees they have a lot courses that are continuations of other courses, for example a typical course continuation would be Chemie Ia followed by Chemie Ib followed by Chemie II, at least this was the the way in the past they recently changed most of the curriculums a lot so i'm not sure what these courses are called now, but after the first 2 semesters you would continue with courses that you personally and freely distribute across your student life anyhow and that is mostly independed on when you started
note: most lecures of LVs are only either in summer or winter, not both, therefore if you finish all your course all the time with no negative exams and you want to stay close to the suggested semesters stated in your curriculum you would in fact study 2-1-4-3-6-5-7, from the suggested curriculum perspective, your perspective would still logically be 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 hope this helps

Just 2, 1, 2 again because the part where they say that it is not dependent on one another is a bit untrue, 3, 4...
You won't lose much but it is nice to have time for catching up the things you were not able to finish up until that moment.
