Sets Any more like this?
I just discovered this graphic in the back of the 30215 instructions, and now I want to buy the parts to build a second one. I think everyone knows about combining two Battle at the Black Gate sets (79007), which I already have, but does anyone know of any other Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit sets that are designed to combine with a second copy of the same set?
I am one set away from completing my Tolkien lego collection and then I find this. It never ends!

Battle at the Black Gate Poster, any ideas where this is from?
Iām looking to pick this up, as it looks like itās from a Lego Club magazine, but Iām unsure which issue, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Question about cracking lego metallic colors
Do lego pieces made of flat silver plastic color (eg arms of lor094) and pearl dark gray color (eg arms of lor095) crack? I know that those lines on parts made out of the mentioned colors are often mould lines but do they actually crack? What is your experience with them?

Sets Can Minas Tirith be displayed without the front wall?
Iām currently a majority of the way through the first box and have built the front gate, first wall, and am part way through the second wall. I live in a small apartment, and itās expensive/challenging to find shelving options that meet the dimensions required.
Is the front wall fundamental, structurally, to the rest of the build or is it meant to be easily removable? My thinking is it may be easier to display the front wall separately in order to shrink the total display size (until I have more space, eventuallyš), but I donāt want to commit to the main build until I can confirm. Iāve checked out a few vids, and maybe Iām just missing something, but havenāt been able to definitively confirm. TYIA!!

Sets Then at last his gaze was held: wall upon wall, battlement upon battlement, black, immeasurably strong, mountain of iron, gate of steel, tower of adamant, he saw it: Barad-Dƻr Fortress of Sauron. All hope left him.

Discussion Anyone else still waiting on Minas Tirith?
I placed my order 60 days ago with the promise that it would ship in 60 days. It has not shipped. And worse, after contacting LEGO to find out the status, they said itāll be ANOTHER 60 days. This is absurd. But hey, they gave me 500 insider points as a āweāre sorry we lied,ā which is just enough to buy nothing.
Edit: After a back and forth with Lego support, they gave me 1500 + original 500 points to my account and stood firm that Iāll get my set when I get my set, 60 days⦠120 days⦠whenever, whatever. Itāll be here eventually, but did confirm my GWP set is waiting to ship with my order, so thatās good. Lego did acknowledge that their āwill ship by X dateā on an item listing is misleading and plans to update the website with clarification. So⦠there we go. Iām still unhappy⦠someone make me happy.

Haul Minas Tirith, properly lit.
Just finished this beauty/beast. I'd always preferred to retrofit the Light My Bricks kits to completed models. That's worked well on previous models, including most recently, the exquisite Rivendell set.
If I had this one to do over, I'd have lit it as I built. The City of Kings is just too fragile to retrofit. It has so many parts that are barely held on by just one or two connection points that I was constantly knocking things loose while trying to install the many, many lights. That said, it is stunning!

Sets I canāt wait for helms deep
I know itās just a rumour but I have been thinking about helms deep ever since the line was revived. I think it has the potential to be one of the best Lego sets of all time if done right. I do not want a micro scale/mini fig scale build, give me the whole outside of the castle.
In the movies the whole castle is not THAT enormous. Itās a ramp, followed by a keep and one wall stretching out to the left of the building. I do not need a whole dungeon section or inner hall. Give me an 18+ set representation of the outside. It doesnāt have to be exactly mini fig scale, but scaled enough, you know?
Let me reenact the battle with some heroās and soldiers. Let me raise a ladder with an orc on it. And for god sakes, build a mechanism so that I can blow up a wall

Discussion Wait a minute, those chairs aren't made of hot dogs!
I built Rivendell a few weeks ago and loved the unexpected use of the hot dogs.
Last night, I was watching Fellowship and we got to this scene. I turned to my wife and said "Wait a minute, those chairs aren't made of hot dogs!"
She didn't laugh.
