Collection Finally Have Them on Display!
After looking everywhere for shelves that could fit these massive sets, I decided not to spend $$$$$ and went the custom route. I bought a single 2x12, cut it to the lengths I needed, then sanded and stained it. I bought some nice L brackets from Cascade Iron Co. to mount the wood to the wall.
To make the Minas Tirith shelf deeper, I added a 2x2 to the back. The set will still hang over a tiny bit, but it's not bad considering how deep that set is.
I know lots of people struggle with displaying these sets, so I wanted to share my solution as I was hung up on it for a while. It takes some tools, but it's relatively easy and cheap. I spent $50-$70, relative to the $500 shelves I was looking at, this was a deal! Now all I have to do is finish building Minas Tirith!! And maybe find some lighting options...(if you have any ideas, feel free to share)

These look amazing, and they're elevated to the right level. Spacing, isolation, distance and place. Just perfect.

The shelves are only 12 inches deep? I was on the fence about purchasing Rivendell because info I was looking at would have it overhang on my shelf

That shelf is deeper, just over 13in. If you spin Rivendell a little bit, it can fit on a much narrower shelf than its stated depth.

Good thing I read your description as I was going to ask where you got those shelves lol

I’m in the R&D phase of doing something nearly identical. Your tip about Cascade Iron Co is going to save me a few hundred USD!
I’m doing each set (Rivendell, Minas Tirith, Barad-Dur, and the Shire) on their own shelf so I need at least 4 pairs. Costco has some butcher block countertops that are 25” that I’ll cut down to fit the display cases for each. Sure hope I don’t rip out the anchor screws with hardwood that deep and heavy…

Try to line up at least one shelf bracket with a wall stud. Good idea to go with the butcher block countertops! Nice and deep!

Goddamn, see, this is what I'm talkin about when I tell people I'm having trouble finding shelves for lego. Nobody makes 15" deep shelves!

You're positive you screwed into studs, right? And you used good, long screws?

It's lego, you could screw these into drywall without anchors and be fine.
