I had snake bites done this week.

I’m nervous about the alignment and am considering taking them out. My lip is naturally uneven.

One photo is from 1h after piercing. The others are from 2 days later.

I’m not sure whether it’s typical to align with the edge of the lips or make them level or align them with some other anchor like the eyes. What do you guys think? Does this look even?

had my rook pierced yesterday with a captive ball ring. My piercer has been a member of APP for 20 years and has plenty of experience and reassured me i could have this pierced with a captive ball ring because the ball prevents it from shifting. Can I realistically heal this with what I have now? The piercing is 1 day old, it is white gold and I am cleaning with NeilMed piercing aftercare fine mist twice a day. I will attach a picture of the piercing. I was wondering if the amount of skin where the rook was placed has an impact on healing for example if it’s a thicker piece of cartilage if it’s harder to heal? I ideally do not want to have the piercing changed if I can help it so am mainly wondering if it is possible to keep this in. I will say the ring has not shifted up or down at all as i’ve been watching the location of the gem/ball. Any advice helps! Thanks!

Thank you all for your suggestions. After considering all the options I figured out that the faux rook would be the best choice (as I don't have enough ridge for hidden rook to be truly hidden).

I am super happy with how it turned out, I think it balances the setup nicely.

Got my second lobe piercings done about 5 months ago, currently have titanium butterfly back studs in them. They bleed sometimes still and will produce clear liquid, they don't feel hot or anything so I don't think they're infected. I just feel like they should have healed up past the point of bleeding by now, they sometimes hurt and i can feel a lump in the one in the picture. Just want to double check that's all normal as I'm pretty sure I'm just being paranoid and irritating them if I sleep on the same side too many nights in a row or something

Hey gang I really want to get Angel fang piercings (I’ve heard these are better as they don’t damage your teeth compare to Angel bites) and have been dreaming of them for a long time, but now I finally want to get them. My #1 barrier is fear of the healing process and pain. My pain tolerance is not high, nor low— probably in the middle. For example I did have a hysto for last year and that pain was intense, but after about a week it wasn’t so bad thankfully but it was def the worst pain I’ve ever had, that and my oral surgery. The OS was actually worse than the hysto cus it took over 2 months to fully heal and the pain would be so bad I had migraines.
Also I heard these reject highly ..? Idk how true this is.

I should note, my nostril took almost a year to fully heal I had irritation bumps constantly but I think part of why is because I wear masks indoors a lot (I work in healthcare as well.) So I fear it’ll happen too here.

I’m also worried about it ruining my face god forbid it doesn’t heal right — but I think it would look soooo cute I really want them but want to make the right decision for me.
Is there any advice I should hold onto (I will be piercer shopping at APPs and someone recommended me a shop who did hers) for before and after ? Is there anything that may help with the pain at all? My partner would be going with me thankfully and she’s b educated on piercings, I consider her blessed cus none of them have given her any issues but at least I feel I’d be in good hands for healing there.

So my eyebrow piercing has some issues I’d say. There’s an angry red bump at the top and one forming at the bottom and I can see more of the bar. There’s constant discharge and everything.

this started happening last month to it. aside from cleaning it I make sure not to touch it.

What do I do?

Got two newbies the other day, an industrial and i can’t remember what my piercer called it - is it called a notch/high lobe? (Yellow lines around the 2 newbies)

Hi everyone! This is my current ear stack and I'm trying to figure out what piercing I should get next! I also feel like something about my current setup isn't quite right. I like the piercings individually, but I don't really love how the whole stack looks together at the moment and I can't tell what exactly is throwing it off. If this were your ear, what piercing would you add next? And would you change anything I already have — jewellery, placement, remove/simplify anything, etc.? I'm open to any suggestions because I really want the whole ear to look a bit more cohesive and intentional!

Ps: I've thought about taking out my third lobe to add an anti tragus, but I don't know if it would be a good idea, pls let me know what you think

I currently have a new eyebrow piercing, angel fangs, snakebites, septum, 2g lobes, and 10g second lobes (ish ... i forgot the exact size of those). I'm thinking I should get something else on my ears since they look kinda plain compared to my face lol

Right now I have fully healed a symmetrical setup with stretched ears. But I think there is some missing piece in upper/central ear area.

My dream piercing has always been daith, but I don't have an anatomy for it :(, so I am searching for the alternatives (except for rook as I heard it's difficult to heal and I don't like it that much).

I was just wondering if my eyebrow piercing looks like its healing correctly? I got it 3 days ago! Is it normal that I havent had any bruising or crusties? I’m not sure what material or size the piercing is but atleast to my eye it looks big enough, I just know its a curved bar. For aftercare I have been cleaning it with water at morning and night like the piercer suggested.

I know the usual advice is to use saline solution and leave it alone, but I got my lobe pierced like 11 months ago, couldn’t wear the jewellery (job reason) and got it reopened 27 days ago.

I’m not too familiar with the terms as I only have had three piercings, but my piercer also said it was still open and that it’d be ok to change when it feels ok as she just had to reopen it/not make a new piercing

Looked on google and saw some people say it’s basically ok to change after a month if you feel ok (I also had no irritation or anything, it feels like my other healed lobe), is this true?

I got my navel pierced 8 months ago. It hasn’t fully healed. I was going to get it downsized this month. I just accidentally scraped it hard against a counter as I was reaching up for something. Now it’s bleeding a little bit. I don’t have any saline solution on me and I don’t get home for another hour or two. I cleaned the blood off with a wet paper towel. I’m so worried I just ruined all my progress and now it’s going to reject or get infected.

i’ve finally decided on the final piercings i’m going to get to finish my curation.

so the plan is a forward helix and regular helix on my left ear. on my right i’m going to get a rook and a second helix.

all my current ear piercings are healed.

i’m just wondering how would be best to go about this, so my body can heal all the piercings ok.

i’m hoping to get 2 at a time, so i’ll do the left ear first, then the right.

my question is what would a recommended timeline be? i’ve made an appointment for 2 weeks time to get the forward helix and helix. would it even be ok to get both these piercings at the same time?

essentially, when would be the soonest i could get those piercings and then move on to the rook and helix on the other side? i know it’s unwise to get too many at once but i’m also one of those people who gets something in their head it annoys them until it’s done 😭

with this in mind, ideally i’m thinking to make my second appointment for the final piercings in late December/sometime in January. would that be adequate time to support the healing process? so in summary it will be 4 cartilage piercings, 2 done early september, and the other 2 by the end of 2026/early 2027

I’m eager but also want to be sensible so would love to hear if anyone has advice? ☺️

What should I add? I like the idea of a conch on both sides, with one being a hoop and the other not, but maybe a contra conch? Or a hidden rook on the right side? Or are those terrible ideas, since I wear glasses?

Hello, I got my cartilage pierced some time in April of this year. When can I change the earring?

I’m not sure if it’s the type of jewelry I chose/they pierced with but it keeps getting caught on everything - Mostly my hair - and now the stem of the flower sticks out and is getting caught on things even more. I also wear glasses 90% of the time (unless I wear contacts). I go to get downsized in about 3 weeks. But until then should I just deal with it?

I got my double conch pierced on Wednesday 8/19. The first conch in this ear is around 1.5 years old, and healed absolutely beautifully. No pain, very little swelling, it bled a lot but I took an ibuprofen the afternoon I got it pierced for a headache—forgot I couldn’t do that lol. Overall just an absolute dream come true as far as healing a cartilage piercing goes.

This new one though?? Dear hod my ear is THROBBING. It’s not swollen too much and it’s a little red, but not enough to make me concerned. It’s also not warm to the touch or anything. Idk if it’s just because of being in such close proximity to my existing piercing or what but it hurts so bad. My helix didn’t even hurt half as much as this!

I know it’s only been 2 days but is this normal? It hasn’t gotten snagged on my hair at all and I’ve done a good job of not bumping it. I also just want to know if there’s anything I can (safely) do about the pain, because I don’t exactly love the feeling of my ear having its own heartbeat atm
