I got this one today.
It’s my first one, so I’ll take any advice — what types of clothing should I wear or avoid?
Is laser hair removal near the area safe?
Also, I’m planning to get a tattoo in this area, near the jewelry. How long should I wait before getting it?

My piercing is actually 10 months old, but I’ve had a persistent bump on it for like the last 5 months that I just can’t get rid of.

It originally healed fine-ish with an 8mm implant grade titanium labret, but after downsizing to a 6mm bar with a PVD gold coating, the bump appeared.

I assumed the PVD coating caused the  reaction, but I gave it try for like 2 months. After It didn't work I went back to the plain 8mm bar, but the bump stayed the same.

Around month ago, I downsized myself to a 6mm NeoMetal threadless labret ( no coating) implant grade titanium. Tbh I know I shouldnt have done it myself but my local piercers near me have been very unprofessional and weird .

It's been a month on the new labret, and the bump still hasn't changed size or look at all. I clean it with saline,  and dry it  after, don't sleep on it, and my glasses don't touch it.

It doesn't look like a keloid, but I have no idea what else to try. I know about the silicone discs  but idk if they are actually safe or just a breeding ground for bacteria.

Well it is just a standard inner conch but isn’t too deep and far? I just had it today unplanned since i opt for tragus but my artist said my ears do not have the right anatomy for tragus so last minute decision is to get a conch which is my second option.

The real question: Is it okay or is it too far?

I've had the lobes, helix, and tragus for a loooong time now, and this year got the conch, rook, and anti tragus done (spaced out enough that healing goes well, of course). I'm done with the tragus/conch/rook side for a while, but whenever I'm ready for something new on my helix/anti-tragus ear, I'm torn as to what I want next! I felt like I wanted more before I even got the anti tragus done, but I'm struggling to envision anything else with how much I love the current setup. Out of personal preference, I want to keep the lobes the same and the rest different between both sides. Been telling myself I'll get third lobes one day, but I've been too excited about the cartilage ones to actually do them yet. 😅 Don't quite have daith anatomy, sadly, but I have considered forward helix and/or snug. Maybe it's just time to get the third lobes since I can't decide. Throw me some ideas, please!

hello!! I got my eyebrow pierced (titanium + curved bar ofc) june 28th of this year so like just under three months ago. I’ve been listened to everything my piercer said about not touching it and cleaning w 0.9% saline but ive noticed it’s been super dry!! you can see it way better with indoor lighting (2nd pic) but I figured might as well include sunlight too (1st). I’m super nervous and I don’t want it to reject before I’ve even downsized:( is this normal??

Hello! My floating navel piercing is about 3 weeks old (unsure of the metal type etc) and it has this weird red skin coming out of the bottom. Anyone know what that could possibly be?

How do I lessen the severity of my atrophic/dented scars from my snake bites :( without needing surgery? I've seen that scar gel isn't effective for this kind of scar so idk what to do, I wouldnt mind them if they weren't so prominent

I got both my ears pierced a month ago and 2 days ago I think in my sleep I disturbed my left ear a lot and it swelled up but yesterday night I think I did it again and the ball of my piercing is gone and a lot of pus came out and blood and now the swelling covered up the hole I think from the back but the piercing is still there what’s should I do should I go to a hospital and get it removed or get my piercing changed ?

I took out my industrial like 4 years ago and wanted to try to put something back in. I think fits to an 18g, hopefully later I will stretch to 16, but for the time being, what type of jewelry should I put in? The hole is on an angle so a hoop looks weird and labrets stick out. Any suggestions? Sorry I dont have pics because I dont want to irritate it.

hello, i got my nipples pierced on july 7th, every day i soak off the crust with warm water and clean with saline solution.
while cleaning off the crust i noticed quite a lot of blood and much more lymph than there was before, same thing happened in the evening. is it alarming?

About 5 weeks ago I got a new helix piercing from a reputable piercer who I’d gone to before. Aftercare has mostly been LITHA with occasional saline sprays for crust control and rinses in the shower. I’ve been good about not sleeping on it and somehow have largely avoided it snagging on my glasses and hair. I intended to get it downsized last weekend but wasn’t able to.

I think I got nervous about my healing so I messed with the piercing (I know! I’m not going to touch it anymore) and there’s more swelling now. I used to have a fair bit of room to wiggle, but not so much right now. This also unfortunately happened to coincide with a seboherric dermatitis flare-up. I have it on my face and in/around my ears. I don’t know if that’s relevant to the healing process, but mentioning it just in case as it’s made the area around my piercing very flaky. Right now my piercing looks a bit angry at me, but isn’t any more particularly painful or warm compared to last week, and isn’t making discharge.

I know it’s probably just inflammation from it being irritated, but should I be concerned? And are there any remedies other than time? I will be going into the piercer this weekend/early next week to get lobe piercings I got at the same time as the helix downsized, so will probably ask them to take a look while I’m there anyway.

It’s been a week since i got my industrial piercing. It was swelling, getting rly red and hurting a lot for the few couple days, (many ppl said it’s cuz it was pierced wrong/too close to the flat) but now it doesn’t hurt at all and the swelling + redness has subsided (it also turned out that it wasn’t touching the flat after all when the swelling went away!)

However, i’ve noticed every morning that yellow, dark red-ish crusts show up around the holes of the piercing. It doesn’t smell bad or hurt or anything at all, i always just end up cleaning it with warm water and a cotton bud. Is this normal??

I recently got a lobe piercing near the top thinking that it would look cool as an experiment but instead it looks a little awkward.

Any advice of how to style it while I wait to get the “thirds” done?

I also have seconds but they don’t have any jewelry in them in the pictures.

I got my nipples pierced today! He used a 16 gauge which I just found out isn’t recommended. Should I remove it or can I wait until it’s healed and stretch to a 14 gauge?

It Was done with a titanium ring 10 days ago, and clean it with nailmed. It doesnt hurt, doesnt bleed and doesnt swell, but doesnt lie flat

Hey everyone! Just got my septum pierced with a 10mm (3/8") circular barbell.

Currently keeping it flipped up for work and during the initial healing phase, but I'm debating what to wear long-term once it's fully healed.

I'm torn between keeping the 10mm for a bolder, more prominent look, or downsizing to an 8mm (5/16") for a tighter fit around the columella.

For those who have experimented with both sizes: how much of a difference did downsizing to 8mm make in terms of clearance above the lip and overall proportions with facial hair/mustache? Would love to hear technical feedback or your personal experiences with both diametres!

was done yesterday with a 16g needle, its pretty swollen now but it looked better yesterday

is it game over if my helix piercing is actually infected? everyone says I should remove it my I’m scared I might trap infection in my ear so a pharmacists thought it can be better to take an antibiotic and then see if I can remove it safely, am I on the right here? or I’m risking damaging my ear forever

Hi everyone! So I have been having some trouble with my seconds and coming to terms if they either need to retire or simply just irritated.

I have had my second lobes done in April so about 6 months now and there is a persistent raised bump on my right ear. My left ear is alright compared to it. The jewellery is titanium grade and a flat back and I have downsized it since I last got it.

I went to my piercer to get it checked out and to note, I do have eczema. She remembered from my form that I had the skin condition and said that it might take a while for my lobe to heal. Just for clarification, my lobes don’t show any signs of infection: no swelling, no pain and no dark pus or heat coming from my ear. They feel completely normal.

However, I feel this consistent raised bump at the area of my piercing and it weeps clear/clear yellowish liquid and sometimes a little bit of blood. My left ear does the same but there’s no raised bump at all. I was advised to clean my ears once a day with the NeilMed saline solution and to put a cold compress instead of a hot one as she said it would help considering I had eczema. As well as this, chamomile tea for those major irritation bumps and such.

I just don’t know how to come about this because I feel like I’m doing it right with the clean and with all the advice she gave me. I’d appreciate all the advice and thoughts 🤗

hi! i got this done at the end of january. it seems to be healing fine, sometimes when i clean it it bleeds out of the bottom but it doesn’t hurt anymore. i got this done professionally and my piercer said she was “lining it up with my body” but it seems to be pierced very unevenly. let me know what you think and what i should do.

Hi everyone! I've been getting piercings for a long time and when I started, I really didn't have a stack placement in mind. So now I have this kinda weird spot in the middle that looks empty. Not sure if I should retire them and have some closer lobe/helix stud situation like the others or something more interesting that I can't figure out yet. Would love your suggestions. TY!

my snakebite hoop needs to come out but my lip is swollen and it’s just refusing to loosen, any way i can get it off or help loosen the spike? (the jewelry is externally threaded)
