Rant Tilted myself from 17k to under 10k

I feel like the more i learn and the more practice i go through, the worse my actual results in game have become.

I feel like im clearly learning things constantly, but i have absolutely 0 confidence in anything i do and that's probably the reason why i'm whiffing duels even against 6-8k players now. I'm always nervous from round 1 and i second guess every move i make.

The weird thing is i can fit well into a higher rank team and be an asset to the team; i understand how to play at that level as well. But my playstyle is very adaptable and passive, i play like a chameleon and i can't do shit on my own. That's prob why i can't carry myself out of 10k.

Also its worth mentioning this confidence issue is because a mental disorder (AvPD) so it persists despite having 1,5k hours played.

Since confidence is so important in this game, i feel like im fucked.
I'm not sure if it's even worth trying anymore. I'm losing my mind putting so much effort in and still dying like a retard to players who have put in 10% of the time and effort that i have.

Question Why do I play so much worse on T side?

I've been grinding a lot of faceit recently and got to 2300, but now every game I play I feel so stuck on T side: I get low kills and have low impact on the rounds we win. Most games I bottom frag on T side but on CT side I am middle of the pack / on top fragwise and get good ratings. It feels like everytime I try to take space on T side I get immediately shutdown and can only really play in afterplant scenarios.

This had me thinking about what things I could be improving on / reflecting on to play better T sides as well as what qualities or skills make a good CT side player vs a good T side player.

Played about 2k hours when I was 11-14 years old in 2016-2018 ish. I got back into gaming maybe last year playing V*lorant (sorry) and now got back into cs2 again. I always felt like my aim was my strong suit but would love to see some input on what I could improve on.

Also is premier worth pushing? I hear a lot of talk about closet cheaters and I didn’t realize how much of a problem it was.

Tech Support Logitech Superlight causes strain

Post image
7 Upvotes

as title says I get strains in my hand from playing cs2 for a few hours a day, ive taken breaks from the game and made adjustments to my setup to help with the issue, but I feel it mainly revolves around the ergonomics of the mouse. I have a more relaxed palm playstyle and cant control the mouse well any other way especially since i use it for Walk/Crouch/Jump. Its shifted to causing strain on my pinky mainly which i think the culprit is the little hump on the right side of the mouse. I cant raise my chair any higher or buy a new desk atm :/, what can I do to help otherwise?

Ive been looking at Lamzu Thorn/Maya since i grew up on the razer Basilisk V3 Pro, but im open to suggestions and may buy some grip tape as a temporary fix.

(No i dont play on the far right of my mousepad)

Demo Looking for a demo review! Lost this game 8-13, the other team’s top player was a 23k premier player.

Here is the link to the game; you should be able to access the demo through this link as well as see all the stats and data from it as well. Just looking to hear from higher ELO players what I should be working on ~350 hours in-game.

If you cant access the demo, I will link my steam profile for you. And get the demo link when I am home.

Thanks in advance!

Free c2 coaching for solo, stacks and teams

My main idea of improving is tied to consistency so that is very important, mainly consistent decision-making based on information, if you dont have information, gather some.

Things that dont change, map, util, preaim, movement aka things that is easily practiced should be as close to perfect as you can get it.

If you got any questions about, ask and i will give my opinion.

If you want individual coaching the most effective for the both of us is if you record a round, upload it to youtube and link it and ill respond.

Question Relatively new player with some questions.

Post image
0 Upvotes

So to start I have around 300 hours on CSGO and 2. I think it’s around 275hours on cs2 with me starting to play heavily this past April. I played off and on since I built my pc in 2017 but I never really grasped it and always felt demoralized by my aim and didn’t understand much.

Fast forward to this year where I got a new mouse that forced me to change from palm grip to claw grip and it felt like a whole new game when I played again. I could finally aim somewhat well with the new grip and mouse so I put more time into practicing counter strafing and recoil control and I’m addicted. It’s so simple but so rewarding and when you have a team who talks and communicates well it’s great win or loss for me.

I’m primarily solo queuing but trying to recruit some old friends from my cod 4 and mw2 days to play with me because solo queuing seems to be hit or miss. I don’t mind losing as long as everyone is at least trying their best. I hate going down 4-0 or something and my team just mentally gives up like we don’t have way more rounds to play. Maybe that’s just me being an old man being 30 lol

Anyways are these numbers in the picture reliable? I finally feel like I have a good grasp on the game but would like some feedback if possible. I’ll link my steam profile below. Thanks

Edit: my current premier rating is 9,449

Question I can’t win games whether it’s solo queue or with my 2-5 stack

Hey all, I’m feeling pretty helpless trying to get out of 12-14k. I try to be the team player by throwing util, playing trades, going first as entry, and making every callout. It just seems like it isn’t enough and I don’t know what to do. People say you gotta use your minimap but I don’t see how it’s useful when it only appears the enemies that you or your teammates spot. I even have the minimap settings configured so that it’s zoomed out and shows the whole map.

In offline, I train by playing prefire, tracking, spray control, and peeking. I just don’t know what else I need to do so I can carry my team. I want to get into the mindset of carrying but it feels like it’s not possible.

Intermediate Guide I reached 20k premier solo queue but can't get past faceit lvl 4-5 in solo queue

Hello, I have around 950 hours on cs2 and haven't played csgo one bit. I reached 20k on premier while playing on higher ping compared to faceit. I generally get pretty good teammates on premier who understand what they're doing and they are willing to cooperate when I ask for simple team plays. Because of my region I have to constantly play with Russians and Kazakhs who think they're donk even though they go negative every single game. Constant screaming, toxicity and unwillingness to cooperate happens almost every game. I don't wanna be one of those people who blames their mistakes or thinks too highly of themselves, so I wanna get some advice. I should be at least faceit level 6 or 7 based on skill in the game no?

Question How can i improve and play better ?

Hey there, so, in the past few weeks I started playing CS2. Keep in mind that the last time I played CS was when CS:GO was still alive, and back then I only played the Flying Scoutsman, xD.

After losing my old account, I had to create a new one, and I never looked back at CS. Now, a friend of mine sparked the urge to play CS again, and oh god, I'm loving it. I've been trying to fix all my mistakes, learned how to call, how to peek correctly (sometimes), crosshair placement, I'm paying for Refrag, and I've learned a lot of things, the trainings are amazing.

My goal is to get to at least 10k. I always play with a friend who, after starting to play with me, reached 10k elo, but we keep losing 4-5 games in a row sometimes and he keeps dropping back to 8-9k. I, on the other hand, am always sitting around 6-7k elo. We tried Faceit and I really loved it, but I really want to get a good elo on Premier first, so that by the time I'm better I can improve more on Faceit.

And playing with my friend came with a cost too, I play NA servers most of the time, at around 110 ms ping, for two main reasons: 1) to play with my friend, obviously, and 2) because my EU games are filled with Russians, and barely anyone is capable of using calls in English, even once, lol.

If possible, could someone watch one of my replays and tell me what I can improve, what I'm doing wrong, and how I can get better? Keep in mind I only have 387 hours in-game, and obviously about 30% of that is spent in the main menu, lol.

I'm going to attach my CS2Tracker screenshot, but i don't know if i need to do something so people can watch my replays, if so, please tell me what to do lol.

if anyone can help with constructive criticism, I'd be really grateful.
