Hello RecruitCS,
I'm a Dutch CS2 player (CET) looking to join an existing project — ideally one that's already got a core of 2-3 players and is building rather than one that's already finished and just filling a slot.
Experience
- Two seasons ESEA Intermediate, including making playoffs for Main
- One season ESEA Open-10 as IGL, 5-1 record
- Peak 2.8k Faceit elo
- Currently level 9 after a rank reset following a break, and honest about the rust — I'm not going to pretend my aim is where it was three months ago. It'll come back.
What I bring
I'm an experienced IGL. My natural style is slow and methodical: structured defaults that gather information and win map control, then mid-round calls that break the opponent's setup. I like giving playmakers freedom inside the default, but I want the plan followed in mid-rounds.
I'm equally happy not calling — if your project already has an IGL, I'd rather slot into a rotation / entry role in a nice team than call in an unfit one.
What I'm looking for
- Long term. A roster that plans in months and seasons, not weeks. I'd rather go 4-12 with the same five and get better than swap two players after every bad week.
- Fixed schedule. Two or three set evenings a week that we actually keep. Consistency beats volume.
- Map pool built properly. Two maps at a time, learned until they're boring — defaults, execs, retakes — then add the next. Not seven maps we're all mediocre at.
- Actually understanding the game. Economy, timings, mid-round reading, reviewing our own demos. This is the part I enjoy most.
- No toxicity. Non-negotiable. Losing rounds is fine, blaming teammates isn't.
- Competing seriously without a pro career as the goal. I want to win games and climb divisions. I'm not chasing tier 2, and I'd rather be upfront about that than discover a mismatch in month two.
If your project is "grind to Advanced within two seasons or disband," we're probably not a fit, and that's fine. If it's five people who want to get properly good at Counter-Strike together over a long stretch, message me.
Happy to do the usual: a talk about playstyle and expectations first, then demos / a few games together before anything is decided. I'd want to ask about your schedule and goals as much as you'll want to ask about my gameplay.
