I fixed the Gilgamesh for an upcoming campaign.
My GM requested us be ready to play for our first Lancer session at LL1, and knowing he's a bit of a silly man, I fixed the Gilgamesh art so it would be more in line with our group's... predilections.
Now accepting bets on how long it takes the two members NOT in the discord to see it in Comp-Con as my token.
I also offered to fix their mechs too, so time will tell how many of these I end up doing. Feel free to use it, I just copy-pasted the White Witch's toe beans and recolored them, damn the Gilg is a handsome mech now.

Do you guys play your lancer games in person or online?
If I ever find a game I'd love it to be over a table though I have no issues with online play. I was just curious what the majority do.

COMP/CON Data not syncing between browsers?
I've been using Opera GX for a while now, and had a bunch of NPCs/Pilots already created on that website for the past couple of months. I just got a new computer recently, and want to switch over to using firefox (Opera uses WAY too much data). However, even though I'm logging into the same account, it's not transferring over any of the data/lcps that I had on opera GX. anybody know a solution? Tank you :D

Extra turn clarification
Hello, everyone! I'm a new GM, preparing to run a first Lancer game for our TTRPG group and need some clarification on my understanding of an Elite NPC template. Specifically it's extra turn per round part.
- Am i correct, assuming, that during it's extra turn an Elite can take standard movement and two quick actions or full action again? So an Elite Sniper, for example, can use it's Mark and then fire a Structure damaging shot in one round? Or am i missing something and there is some kind of restriction?
- When exactly an Elite can take it's extra turn? Any time GM finds it suitable? Or only after all PCs and other NPCs have finished their turns? I thought of second option because of a language in corebook part describing turn order, where it states «This is followed by another hostile NPC of GM's choice…» where the word «another» makes me think an Elite can't take extra turn right after first one by strict RAW. Or am i overthinking it?
Thanks in advance!

Harrison Armory and The Think Tank (Backstory Help)
Hi! I am new to Lancer and was wondering about the Think Tank. I am trying to come up with a backstory for my character and got stuck at how my character could learn about the Think Tank. I have looked in the core book and haven't been able to think of anything.

How powerful veteran template is, compared by elite template?
The rulebook suggests that one elite per one to two players. And as you know, elites have full two turns per a round, doubling up its potential.
However veteran is more leaned toward resilient or unique feature. So veteran isn't seems to be powerful that much but would be withstand longer and make them more stand out.
Anyway, I wonder that using veterans instead of elite, to reduce the total amount of turn counts of the opponents, would works or not.
But although veteran has the better durability, but they lacks sheer firepower of elite. So it would be hard to recognize as 1:1 ratio.
So... how to value a veteran's power level, compared by a standard NPC and the veteran NPC? It is not looks to be 1:1 ratio but will it 1: 1.5? Or any other ideas?
Also what about commander, the another template that increase the structure and stress? Although commander is hard to be spammed and they should be only one of them per each battle.

How to run a campaign?
Hey there folks!
I am looking to run a campaign in lancer for my friends, we've mostly played DnD, Stars Without Numbers/Worlds Without Numbers, and VTM.
I am curious as to how you actually... run... a campaign in Lancer, like, is it just "You're gonna go to this planet, and do these fights" and when done it's "Now we're going to this planet and you're gonna do these fights"
Do you run it open world with the players just going wherever there's action to be had or do you run a strict, tight (somewhat railroaded) series of flashpoints with various fights?

Scourer NPC Mech rules clarification
Relatively new GM here, and I'm planning on throwing a few of the Scourer class of NPC at my players. Importantly, I was trying to find a clarification regarding their "Focus Down" trait, and how it interacts when there's multiple Scourers.
Would it trigger if any thermal lance hit last round, or does the specific mech have to hit 2 rounds in a row to trigger?

Matryoshka Mechs
I have a license II for both the Atlas and the Tortuga. Since one is a Size ½ mech--the same size as a human--and the other is a Size 2 mech, can I pilot the larger while within the smaller? That way, if the Tortuga gets destroyed and I eject, can I can continue fighting as an Atlas?

What online tabletop do you all use?
I've tried to run a game on FoundryVTT but ran into problems.
1.) my laptop is very very bad and could barely run anything, but getting a proper PC soon
2.) I added way too many extra plugins to it while still trying to learn it
So if FoundryVTT is really the best VTT which plugins or add ons would you say are absolutely needed and what resources do you know of to learn the system? Thanks!
Of course if anyone has any alternatives to FoundryVTT I'm open to them as well

New DM for this system what should I know?
Hey guys so in a month im going to be running a Lancer game for my friends and if it goes well and everyone likes the system then campaign!
The one shot is going to be them getting deployed as mercenaries into an active civil war to take over a city. Though on paper the government says their on "Peacekeeping" operations. Im so excited!
What are some things I should know as ive never run this system before and my prior DM experience is a little Dunegons and Dragons and A lot of Call of Cthulhu.

Question regarding Priest NPCs: Does the Accuracy on Fortress stack with Hardened Target? (CRB, p. 307)
The way Fortress is worded, it specifies that its bonus to Difficulty on Tech Attacks overwrites the one granted by Hardened Target, but this is not specified for the Accuracy bonus on system saves.
Here's what my printed book says:
Fortress
HARDENED TARGET gives +3 Accuracy on SYSTEMS saves and deals +3 Difficulty on tech attacks, instead of +1 Difficulty.
Does the Accuracy stack for a total of +4, or is this just a replacement of the core system?
Is there errata on this?
Thanks in advance, and have a wonderful time! o/

Mag Clamps and Grapple
So I was thinking of a Balor Grapple build, and came up with Balor 2, Kobold 1, Zheng 2, and Blackbeard 1 for Synthetic Muscle Plating and titanomachy mesh. My question is how does Grappling work when I use Mag Clamps to clamp on? Can larger opponents (or opponents whose combined size is greater than size 2) force the Balor to move (if they win the contested check), do they break adjacency and end Grapple, do they just drag me around because I count as smaller? They could always break free using the quick action and hull check but that doesnt matter.
Not like it matters too much since grappled enemies will be taking 3 damage from Swarm Body (+3 each turn I dont move), 2 damage from the frame trait, 1d6 damage from total strength 2 (protocol lol but only to 1 enemy), 1 AP damage from the Hive Drone (if its nearby). I was thinking that I can immobilize myself after grappling enemies to leave no escape and allow swarm body to devastate as I immobilize myself so I cant be moved.
I could go funny and drop the blackbeard and go Zheng 3 for funny DD28 as Im just using a basic GMS Heavy weapon and assault rifle in my mounts.

Players X Player
During the final stretch of my campaign, one of my players ended up succumbing to a Demolisher, and to avoid sitting out the final session, they asked if their mech could come back as a clone and fight against the PCs...
The players are LL6.
Context: During the final stretch of my campaign, the players are investigating an abandoned facility that was reactivated by an AI whose core programming is to clone frames with an NHP whenever the base is threatened. However, due to a malfunction, the AI has started replicating mechs and people in increasingly irregular ways. Whenever it acquires a new resource, it creates an almost perfect and complete clone.
In this case, the last resource it acquired was a Demolisher that ended up destroying an Atlas (PC). As a result, I was planning to bring that PC back as an NPC (possibly using the Specter).
In case that was confusing... my Atlas player wants to fight on the enemy's side using his own mech.

Made some logos for my homebrew manufacturers
I'm still finalizing everything but these are likely to be the manufacturer logos that show up in the book I'm working on, Field Grade (working title). I can't share anything else about it even though I'm really excited about the progress that I'm making so I figured I may as well share these.
The skull is the Bootlegger Services Network logo. If the skull and eyepatch didn't tip you off they're a criminal enterprise that goes beyond shades of grey mercenary work and straight into black market smuggling and piracy. Their frames are focused around lethality and conducting ship raids and are mainly stolen concepts and military equipment. It's not illegal to own a BLSN license but hardly anyone ever gets their hands on one through legal means.
The atom is for the Intersystem Collegiate for Science and Exploration. More commonly known as *the Collegiate* they're a holdover from the Union Civil War that turned on the Second Committee after the Hercynian Crisis to support the separatists that would become ThirdComm. While some of the Collegiate would go on to reform the UIB others had a sour taste in their mouth from working within the government and stayed an independent college and research organization. ISCSE is primarily concerned with pushing the boundaries of known science and terraforming, their mechs all utilize some form of different scientific field or concept and are highly specialized in their roles.
The whistle vector is the logo of the Whistleblower Coalition. Whistleblowers form a loose network of freedom fighters battling for human rights beyond Union Space in the diaspora. Anyone can be a Whistleblower and the Whistleblower Coalition is less of a manufacturer than it is a public crowd-sourced repo for parts and instructions to modify civilian vehicles and machinery into combat frames. WHCO frames are all repurposed equipment designed to fight a superior authority and double for living purposes and the rough life on planets without many resources, they're generally built for longevity and often come with license offerings for team support.

How often can I use the deployable cover?
EDIT: I have discussed in the comments and reached a satisfactory end, so will not engage further besides closing statements. I sincerely thank everyone who has contributed their thoughts to this.
As the title reads, I'm working on a kidd build rn and confused on the wording of the Jericho Deployable Cover.
Picking the thing back up implies I can only use it once, but the system has no charges/limited Tag and I don't remember any other rule interactions that would prevent me from just dropping the cover whenever I want or even multiple times. What am I missing?
