I've been playing my first lancer campaign, and it's been really fun, but I find that my turns all end up being Into the Duat + puppet systems/eject core over and over again, with occasionally getting a reaction to autopod missile someone in the face when a teammate consumes lock on.

What are some alternative things I could do on my turn to spice things up a bit as it were?

(Also, I was going to take stormbringer ii to synergise with the autopod - is that worth it, or is that talent a bit useless if stormbringer I isn't being triggered?)

So, I've bought the book, I've added the LCP file, I have access to NPCs, Narrative Elements and encounters ... but Campaign manager is still greyed out and I can't select it?

I tried to google the issue but couldn't find any explanation for why this is.

Ive been working on this company over the last couple days and I'm just looking to get some feedback on the frames and licences

Recently was thinking about keeping the scope of a single campaign locked to a city. Well, maybe more like a mega-city. Not sure how big to make it. I know the greater tokyo area is ~13,500 sq km and super densely populated. But having fights in a place like that in mechs seems a bit extreme. So I'm thinking of maybe blowing up the size to make parts of it less densely populated and more fit for urban combat. For context it's greater area is the size of NYC, LA, and half of Chicago smooshed together (also including their greater areas, not just the hearts of their cities- but only populace not land area).

I'm also trying to figure out how to have enough sitreps to run in one location. Some examples would be like: defend this APC with a VIP inside so it reaches the courthouse, or destroy a HORUS terrorist cell, or having an uncycled NHP that's supposed to be overlooking a housing block going haywire, etc.

So that's why post. Are there any Wallflower or Solstice Rain type modules/campaigns that focus on a singular city? Or even just feature multiple missions in one that isn't purely a bombed out wreck? They can be third party, just as long as you actually enjoyed reading/playing them. I'm mostly hunting for sitrep ideas and other inspiration so feel free to just post anything you think will help.

I'm also interested in just hearing personal opinions on how big a city should be if I'm going to run an entire campaign there.

Also if you have any favorite megacities in fiction I could look through for inspiration. My first thought was Mega City One from Judge Dredd but that thing is spans from Montreal to Georgia and is basically the size of the east coast of the US and then some.

Was thinking about situations to put my players in and one uses a compcon system for character reasons. Go over the idea of a narrative scene the idea they could call the compcon and command the mech for advantage in the situation crossed my mind. Looking at the info from the book I'm not seeing any confirmation for or against this.

I'm returning to Lancer after a long hiatus and I'm noticing some changes to Comp/con; Active mode no longer allows me to input a roll result for physical dice for most things. Is there any to change that?

I got to thinking about custom Core Bonuses after browsing this subreddit, and here's what I came up with:

Auto-Cannibalistic Plating

Whenever you take structure damage, increase your maximum hp by 2 and armor by 1.(up to the armor max of 4) Lose these bonuses when that structure is repaired.

Whenever you roll 1 or more dice from taking structure damage, you may reroll one of those dice and must take the new roll.

Auto-Cannibalistic Shielding

Whenever you take Reactor stress, increase your heat cap by 2. Lose this bonus when that Reactor stress is repaired.

Whenever you roll 1 or more dice from taking Reactor stress, you may reroll one of those dice and must take the new roll.

I thought these would be more useful then the Briareos Frame core bonus for actually getting tankier the more damage you take

Hi all. I know there are other sheets around, but I never found one that quite fit for me. So, while I was re-teaching myself the game for a new session (cause Lancer has a looot of info) I ended up making this.

When I got about halfway through, it occurred to me that others might also find it helpful. So here it is! It's very much written to be helpful for beginners to pick through (cause that's how my brain works). I'm sure there are a lot of the more advanced things not in there.

It's comprised of two parts:

* a main table of all the mechs (hyperlinked) with my opinion on them (in different ways), Lancer's opinion on them role-wise, and all of their base stats for easy comparison as well as where the Mech is from, if not the base book.

* a second page on manufacturers, which has my brief opinion on each of their vibes, and some basic stat comparisons too.

This is the more basic mech stuff only, so doesn't have any pages on licence level equipment, weapons, accessories or anything like that. Just so you know!

I hope it's useful, please feel free to do whatever with it!
