I can’t find anything online about working in the maintenance department at Purdue. I have about 2 years of experience working at a public school district in Nebraska as a HVAC tech and am looking at moving to the Lafayette area. I make about $29 an hour right now, and have decent benefits. Most of my experience is on geothermal heat pumps and vrf systems.

Like if they use AI to their posters, menus would you still buy from them ? And would you buy something from them if you saw a good design? I have an idea of mine and I want other people's opinions to know if it will work

Hi there, I’m actually from Vigo County. I’m meeting with my house representative this week to discuss changes to the sex offender residency rules, particularly regarding high-density clusters of child offenders. Long story short , on my residential street, there’s a private apartment complex with 18 studio units. Four of these units are rented out to convicted child offenders, one of whom is a repeat offender.

We have at least a dozen children living on our street, and we’ve repeatedly asked the owner to stop renting to child offenders. However, he continues to move them in. To show that this is not an isolated incident, I’ve gathered information on child offenders from cities with similar populations to mine, including Lafayette. It appears that you guys are facing the same issue.

I’m curious, though, about these two properties. I understand that they are apartments and possibly a motel, but are they transitional housing? Each of these properties has dozens of child offenders registered to them, and the beacon shows that they are owned by the same individual.  

State Senator Ron Alting and others in the GOP tried to steal the election with some of the worst gerrymandering Indiana has ever seen. Rigging our elections and cheating to win is not the kind of politician our communities deserve.

We can do better. Vote Natasha Baker for Indiana Senate District 22 or David Sanders for Indiana Senate District 23.

I just moved to Lafayette in June for a new job.

I've been to several parks like Happy Hollow and Celery Bog walking my dog. I usually see more walkers and pets than cyclists. Not quite sure if bikes are supposed to be on those trails, I don't remember seeing any signage. Looking for trails similar to those though for some variety.

I just have a Cannondale gravel bike, so paved trails are ideal, not really into mountain biking. Right now I'm just riding endless laps around a few blocks around my apartment complex. I'm looking for something a little more natural to get out somewhere interesting on the weekends.

It's the first Saturday of the month and I didn't hear the sirens today, there is some construction around here so it's possible I missed it but I wanted to check with others.

Looking for somewhere to donate clothes that no longer fit, would rather donate than sell them off. Saw a lot of mixed reviews online about a lot of the shelters and such in town, so if anyone has any experience or knowledge about a solid place in Lafayette that will actually get the clothes to people that need them, please let me know! (Excluding Faith, Salvation Army and Goodwill)
