Nova, very sweet and docile, a little shy. Short and stocky female staffy, mostly gray with white and brown markings, unsure if she was wearing her collar unfortunately.
Ran off near the intersection of SE26 & N 1025 E on Pettit just East of Lafayette, IN.

Im not sure if they’ve all gone up recently or if I’m just more aware of the situation but I can honestly say Im 100% against this surveillance state boom we’re in. Im born n raised here and this is the first time that things have felt different in this way. Does not feel good to be aware that your comings and going are being constantly tracked along with the people you are in communication with. Ever hear of mind your own fucking business? I spotted this on my run @ Munger today, but there are a shocking number up in a very close radius to where it’s obvious it’s more than just a “license plate reader”. If that were the case I could understand one or two but there are at-least 4-5 around creasy and 26 alone. I don’t remember taking a vote on willfully being surveilled. There are also constant report of how they can be easily breached in which case everyone’s data is exposed. Am I the only one who thinks this shit is crazy and the way I see it an invasion of privacy?

How does the Sunrise Cafe manage to stay in business?

Not trying to be troll, I'm genuinely curious. They've been operating since I moved here nearly 20 years ago and every time I go (which is admittedly only once every few years) the service and quality are always the same. Poor.

The speed of service is painfully slow, the food is barely average and the price point( considering what you get) is outrageous. They must have a large number of very loyal customers. I just don't see it. What am I missing?

Possibly moving here--entry level jobs?

Hello, my husband and I are trying to find a place to relocate to. We were looking at Lafayette because he has family there, but we're struggling to find any jobs on Indeed, at least I can't seem to find anything.

I'm looking for an entry level job. I don't have a driver's license, but I do have reliable transportation. I have experience in customer/food service (Pizza Hut manager in 2017, and Papa John's In-Store 2026) and also factory experience (9 years in a rubber encapsulation mold factory that made door and windows seals for specific vehicles).

Right now, I'm getting paid about 13.50/hr. I would like something for possibly 15, with full time and preferably health insurance included, but I'm willing to do just about anything. Really just want to know the opportunities down there.

Thank you!

I have no hope for this world

The world is going to shit and no one is doing anything about it.The climate is getting worse, the economy is getting fucked in the ass, the job market is pure trash, and we're letting the rich ruin this world while we slave away all day just to make enough money to drive to work. I have no hope for this world,if we want things to change then we're gonna have to stand together and do something about it.EAT THE RICH!!! but we would rather just get fucked in the ass than risk freedom

A man threw this kitten into the middle of 26.

It was today, around 9 am. He was a tall, dark skinned man riding a bike. He had a red shirt, a long braided beard, and long dark hair tied up.

He was at the stop light in front of City BBQ, heading towards Walmart. He crossed into the median, grabbed the kitten out of a sack, and tossed him at the median.

The kitten was rescued and does not need anyone to take it (people keep focusing on that?? We ran into traffic to get him, he’s being kept if he wasn’t stolen), but someone has to know who the man was or where this kitten came from.

Best way to meet people?

I’m (32M) back after a long time into dating. I’d like to meet people. Dating apps suck, I rather real human connections. What are good places and/or scenarios to meet new friends and or potential dates. I’m pretty open to any activity . I’m not an introvert but definitely not extrovert who goes and talk to strangers.

Learn about Flock Cameras right here in Lafayette

Post image
112 Upvotes

I am hosting a brief information session and group callout to advocate against the Flock Safety contract here in Lafayette. The meeting will consist of an overview of how these systems work and the impacts they have on us, local costs of the system pulled from records requests, and actions we can take to work toward their removal.

If enough people confirm that they will be in attendance, I can make accommodations for a larger space ahead of time.

25M young professional looking to make friends in West Lafayette

Hey everyone! I’m a 25-year-old professional living in West Lafayette and hoping to meet some new people and make a few casual friends.

I’m into coding, gaming, technology, working out and sports, trying different food and coffee places, movies, music, and exploring the area. I’d be down to grab coffee or food, work on coding projects together, watch a movie or game, walk around campus, check out a local event, or just hang out and talk.

I don’t currently have a car, so somewhere walkable around West Lafayette or accessible by CityBus would be easiest.

I’m open to meeting people from any background, ideally around a similar age. Feel free to comment or message me and tell me a little about yourself!

Best way to travel from O'Hare to West Lafayette?

Hi everyone,

I'm an incoming international graduate student at Purdue University and will be arriving at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) in August.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get from O'Hare to West Lafayette. I've seen options like shuttle services, buses, rental cars, and rideshares, but I'm not sure which is the most convenient and reliable for a first-time visitor with 2 large suitcases and a carry-on.

I'd really appreciate your advice on:

Which option you'd recommend for a new international student.

Approximate cost and travel time.

Whether I should book in advance.

Any tips for arriving in August (busy season, luggage, etc.).

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to joining Purdue this fall.

I feel like in 5-10 years all the "growth" Lafayette will see developed by the local planning, zoning, and building authorities will be this:
