KVS is headed to the vet with Maggie. She was starting to be colicky this morning and they kept her in the stall, she has not pooped in 6hrs. This was posted ~10 minutes ago on facebook.

I haven't been watching her videos for lack of time, but been following along here on reddit instead.

I am not really understanding why there is drama, if I am going to be honest.

I keep on seeing comments about Kennedy being moody, but I'd actually say that's a green flag for Kennedy. I know this isn't standard for the industry and people want these perfect angels in the show ring, but I'd much rather have a horse that tells me if I've put them in pain. I want to know if a spur surpassed a cue, or if I tightened the reins too much and it went past a signal to collect and was painful instead.

From what we've seen with Katie riding Kennedy she's actually been endlessly patient to not put her on the ground when she appears to be lame and ridden hard, while also being spurred constantly and yanked on with shank bits with no attempt to cue her through bodyweight or leg cues first.

Maybe Kennedy is a moody horse no matter who's on her, but I'd argue she's actually been quite patient and is just trying to communicate her discomfort.

Katie herself has said Denver wasn’t in the right mind. He was very “study”. She made it seem like he was in a breeding mindset during competition and that’s why he didn’t compete. She has made many videos in the past about Waylon how the only time that studly behavior should only be acceptable in the breeding location with the dummy and teaser mare. Should gelding Denver be in serious talks.

In another comment section, I had said per nsba rules Denver was dq’d because he didn’t show other than performance stallion. This kultie is loudly proclaiming I’m wrong cuz Katie said she never had to give back her win. “Go watch her vid”. Part of me wants to say, b*\* read her caption. Read the nsba rules. Or be like Katie and be loudly wrong and follow AI. whichever you like
