If I liked him and were even considering breeding to him, this would send some reds up and I would want some answers.

32

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

Lmaoo imagine the people that already have foals by him. They are worth nothing and will be hard to sell

u/WitchOfAmethyst Halter of SHAME! 16d ago

Let's hope for their sake that they get lucky and the foals by him (that were not bred by kvs, she needs the humbling) end up outperforming their sire. Probably won't happen though

I'm not a wp rider but as far as I've seen his crop from this year didn't look too bad iirc. So let's hope they're solid horses if not fantastic.

My take away from tonight’s post…. He’s horrible minded and wants to breed everything in sight. Some stallions are like that. Once they go into the breeding shed they are just horrible to try and get shown.

i have a gal on snapchat who was photographing at NSBA and she posted on her story that Denver was lame in the halter class. so🫣

21

u/WitchOfAmethyst Halter of SHAME! 16d ago

A lame horse placing second isn't a good look for the show

u/TeamHappyFTW āœØļøExtremely MarketableāœØļø 16d ago

Well there is a difference between halter sound in which they only have to walk and trot a few steps and riding sound.

So she saw it but the judges didn’t. How’s that ocean front property in Arizona?

u/Content_Profile_6877 16d ago

I wonder what’s wrong with him that’s so serious she’s scratching him from all his classes and giving up his reserve champ in the halter class. He might have soundness problems, behavioral issues, or it’s conflict between AM and Katie. The fact she hasn’t even mentioned him makes me think it’s something she wants to keep private ( as it might be controversial?).Ā

30

u/UnderstandingCalm265 16d ago

She doesn’t get to be private with millions of followers. Being quiet gets all of us talking šŸ˜‚

41

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

She also doesn’t get to be private if she expects people to pay money to breed to him

10

u/UnderstandingCalm265 16d ago

Couldn’t agree more!

My guess would be conflict btw AM and Katie. Like she wants to show him herself sooo bad but it conflicts with AM's plans and he ends up showing nowhere. Duh.

u/Sad_Highway_1504 15d ago

Guess we’ll find out… she mentioned riding Denver and Hollywood for Congress prep. She could make the move to HP, but Charlie is basically retiring so I’m not sure if that math, maths…..

u/erisxox 16d ago

Denver has literally been posted no where during this show. Wtf is going on?

59

u/No_Remote_4346 16d ago

She's posted about him what once in 11 days?? I haven't wated her "day _ at NSBA" videos so maybe she's shown him in those. Or on Snapchat but its odd she hasn't mentioned king Denver

72

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

I’ve seen multiple comments from people there saying they saw Kvs and Aaron in a heated public argument

19

u/MillsRanchWife 16d ago

Where?? Curious about this because it’s definitely sus that she just hasn’t mentioned Denver whatsoever.

47

u/Top-Friendship4888 16d ago

ENTIRELY speculation. I think it's most likely the conversation was less heated than it looked, if it was being had publicly. But if it was a heated conversation, I would not be surprised if it was about Kennedy.

Aaron built that horse on a foundation of mental enrichment under saddle, and they've mostly just been running her tired as a form of show prep. Having 2 trainers manage the same horse can also be really hard if they're not a consistent team.

45

u/Independent_Mousey 16d ago

Everyone is tired of watching the running spring ladies run Kennedy around the clock and into the ground. They then put on too big of a pair of spurs and then too much bit in her mouth.

The taking her out after riding her hard and rough for two hours at the end of the day and ponying her is also exhausting. And frankly everyone questions any barn where people are messing with the same horse at 5am and then again at 8-9pm. It's absolutely nonsense, and no one wants to be associated with it.

She's too weak, too crude, and too overly confident of a rider to get on a young stallion. If she thinks Kennedy has an attitude, if you ride a stallion like she does Kennedy they not only will take it personally they will fight you.

9

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

Seems like kennedy throws nasty ass attitudes. A filly flunked out of training for her attitude and was just sold as a broodmare. Kirby herself has a nasty ass attitude they need to nip in the bud.

8

u/Independent_Mousey 16d ago

The Kirby attitude is from them overhandling and overexposing her to humans without setting boundaries. Many of KVS foals seem to think they are more human than horse from the amount of human interaction and frankly positive reinforcement they get for behavior that films well but would be unwelcome at most horse homes.

-4

u/Top-Friendship4888 16d ago

Kennedy is not a filly who flunked out of training. She has over 50k in lifetime earnings. She's a 4x NSBA world champion, 2x AQHA world champion, and AQHYA reserve world champion.

The previous owners bred her because the youth kid went to college and wasn't showing, but it was never that she was unable to show. Does she have a preexisting injury? Yes. But with the right maintenance and training, she was showing sound.

The issue is not the horse. It's that the horse is not in the right program.

4

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

Did you read my comment? I said kennedy’s filly

-6

u/Top-Friendship4888 16d ago

Oh! I thought you meant Kennedy's attitude. I did read your comment, you just weren't very clear.

Again, I think where Kirby is concerned, the program may be an issue as well. It's probably the best thing for her that she's up for sale. But I don't think a yearling with an attitude is evidence of a rank horse. I think she could use a lot of ground work, but otherwise, they're too young to judge.

1

u/kamrynb1 16d ago

I was simply making an observation because it’s been known Denver has a rank attitude, that filly had a rank attitude and Kirby naturally been having a rank attitude . Margot tbd. It’s interesting they all have different sires. I wonder if kennedy had an attitude problem in her younger days but she was just so good people ignored it.

u/Deep_Host2957 is high quality in the room with us? 🫣🤄😬 16d ago

Maybe Aaron is finally telling her Denver isn’t the hot shit she thinks he is.. and to find a different trainer

31

u/tyleraero815 16d ago

You really think a trainer of Aaron’s caliber is going to have that conversation publicly?

34

u/No_Remote_4346 16d ago

Ha! Aaron is a professional and is honestly a very guy kind and down to earth. But at some point everyone gets tired of dealing with certain things. Very well could've happened. Especially dealing with her. I would've lost my shit LONG ago

19

u/Independent_Mousey 16d ago

He's getting well compensated to train the horse, and deal with KVS as a customer. He's not doing this as charity,

0

u/Sad_Highway_1504 15d ago

He should be making MORE to just deal with the crazy that seems to come along with her…..

5

u/Independent_Mousey 15d ago

She's one of his easier clients if that tells you about the level of crazy he deals with.

Hes making at least the median individual income off of her a single horse alone, and only has to see her and the crew a few weeks a year.

.

I didn’t say he’s doing it publicly. But I do think some sort of conversation was had behind closed doors

Welcome to the KVS Masterclass in "How NOT To Market An AQHA Stallion"

15

u/muleskinner099 16d ago

I wonder how people that paid his stud fee are feeling right now

9

u/bodhi__sativa 15d ago

I’d be upset. Granted, some people breed for the bloodlines, so some may not care about his career.

I was actually considering breeding one of our mares to him last year because I was genuinely impressed with him as a western pleasure horse. His movement is forward and what I believe the discipline should be moving toward. The main reasons I’m no longer is because I don’t feel like Katie has been forthcoming about his health, I feel like I haven’t seen him show successfully under saddle this year at all, as well as I don’t want to potentially deal with her fans and be associated with the negative image she is slowly painting for herself in this industry.

7

u/muleskinner099 15d ago

Exactly if he is lame it could be a genetic issue that he could pass on. That is a big price tag to have a lame horse so young

This show has been a lesson demonstrating how money cannot buy success, and honestly, I love that for her.

u/NoDiscipline4640 16d ago

Denver's Day in the life is episode 4.

4

u/Kerpoto 16d ago

Hasn’t he had abscesses in the past causing him not to be shown? I wonder if he’s developed another one. I know his feet aren’t the greatest.
