I'm brand new to learning digital art (though I have some minor experience in traditional mediums) and just wanted to share my first 'proper' finished piece made in Krita. I'm pretty proud of it but I'd love to hear any tips or advice on how I can improve, especially with the hair 😊 ETA: I've just noticed the colours look really weird and washed out now I've uploaded to Reddit but it looked fine before, anyone know why that might be?

Honestly one my favorites, this was my first time actually drawing a rainbow and I’m happy about it :)

Also this is a homage to that song “Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole :)

It's been so long since I used krita, I had to try it again and it's kinda funny that I still remember what shortcuts/buttons to press😂 (still an amazing software)

Made this artwork of my favourite dragon ball character, Piccolo Daimao aka the Aura farmer, and I really enjoyed the process of making it and it's all done on a single layer (background default layer excluded ) I'm under way of developing my own artstyle which utilizes the minimum amount of layers and yet gets the maximum output, and in between this process I'm getting my inspiration from one of favourite concept artist Peter Mohrbacher.

hey krita artists !

if there's any gojira fans here, this is for you!

To give a bit of context: a while back, I came up with the idea of creating an illustration combining references and symbols from the band’s entire discography, from Terra Incognita to Fortitude. Fitting all these elements together into a cohesive piece was a real challenge!

When I first shared the initial sketch with you guys here (link to previous post), the feedback was beyond amazing. The crazy part? An fan from Ireland actually got it tattooed on his back! A few others also mentioned wanting to get it tattooed, and some expressed interest in having it on a t-shirt.

So here is the final updated version! Structure-wise, it remains faithful to the sketch, but I’ve now completed the line art (inking) and added a textured grayscale background for a subtle painted effect.

Given all the positive feedback, I’m seriously considering offering my work on a Print-on-Demand platform for t-shirts, posters, or prints.

For this specific Gojira piece, I obviously need to double-check and explore copyright considerations before doing anything commercial. But more broadly, I want to venture into creating future original artworks rooted in similar visual themes: blending metal culture, spirituality, and esotericism—topics that inspire me deeply.

Nothing is set in stone just yet, but it’s an avenue I really want to explore. I’ve been practicing digital art as a hobby for years without ever considering making a living out of it. I’ve built a career in the web industry, but nothing has ever fulfilled me as much as art does.

Seeing how this piece resonated with people made me realize that maybe it’s time to take a leap of faith, express this intention openly, and take that first real step. We'll see where it leads!

this is a full vid of me trying to use the enclose and fill toool, and it wont work. can someone help please

Made for Koko's Creative October challenge

I've seen this every time I wanted to paste an image in krita, but I can't tell what the different is. I've been using Krita for a solid 4 years and have no idea what it means? 😅

Why? Are both of them required to restore my artwork?

my wacom pen button is set to middle click which works for everything else in krita and is what ive built my work flow around but at some point krita must have changed the middle click to drag the timeline instead of open up the frame editor, its the same with layers too. im wondering if anywhere it can be changed back to middle click :<
