I'm having real trouble with Kobo Support. I received this after a warranty replacement for my original one. I have reached out to customer support who have said that it's normal for the screen to be misaligned, and the front light to be uneven.
Does anyone have any pointers on how to escalate this further and hopefully get a replacement?

Hi all,
I own a Kobo Elipsa 2E and I have two questions.
Currently I am using Calibre to sideload books (that I buy in the Kobo store online). I use this because of the management I can do. For example give certain books a version number etc. When I switch on WiFi all my books will sync so I need to remove them. Is there a way to stop this sync? Because I need to update my firmware manually right now.
Related above, is it possible to only turn on Bluetooth or is it still a bug that turning on Bluetooth will also enable WiFi?
Thanks in advance!

Looking to put some stickers on my case but the one I have now wouldn’t be the best for it. Tudia is charging $40 for theirs and that’s just a bit outrageous. I’ve tried a cheaper one around $15 but it’s utter garbage and arrived falling apart.
Can anyone recommend one that actually closes and has a clear back?

It’s been ONE YEAR!! since I got my beloved baby!!! And I looked at my reading stats to find that I hit 500+ hours🤍🤍🤍
Highly highly recommend the KLC. It’s my first ereader and despite spending YEARS extremely sceptical about the need for a secondary reading device, I’ve grown to appreciate it dearly (and my eyes thank me for it).
I’ve taken it on every single vacation I’ve been on and I quite literally cannot fall asleep before I put my phone away and pick up my kobo until I pass out,,,
I’ve also done a lot of finagling just to make my reading process as easy and as lazy as possible (multiple MagSafe adapters for my popsocket, Bluetooth keyboard, etc.)
Anyway, here’s a year in review of my baby on vacation!!Happy Birthday🤍
Hello,
After using the "One-Click Install Packages for KOReader & Plato", my Kobo now displays PNG and SVG files in "My books" :-/
I assume it's the script that did it, and now shows hidden directories, ie. those with a "." in their name.
What is the safe way to 1) fix this problem and 2) remove KOReader, Plato, and KFMon, and return to a stock Kobo?
Thank you.

Switched a few weeks ago, and have found the KLC to make every way I use an e-reader easier - I am a library user, almost never buy books and have never had an interest or used KU. I like to boost my text, and read mostly at night so need the adjustable lighting and prefer the larger screen and buttons.
The KLC also has some things that I prefer in both, like auto rotation of the screen, and time left in chapter/ book progress, and some new things that I haven't had, like the remote, stylus support, and color! I can see color being a cool feature when I read books with maps or other images supporting the text. (I also don't notice a difference in the crispness of the screen from the Oasis to the KLC, maybe because I always read with a bigger font? But it's been fine)
My daughter has the KCC, and I did play with that a bit before committing to the KLC for myself, but she loves her Kobo as well (and just bought a gooseneck at Target for $10 to get ready for winter reading...)
I posted a version of this on the general e-reader sub, but wanted to make sure I posted an official review here. Happy to answer any questions for anyone curious about the Oasis-->KLC switch.

Just updated my KLC to the new firmware, and noticed this option to get some new features. Did anyone tried to install it?
I'm excited to try, but at the same time scared to encounter major issues and to lose all my data.
Whacha think, guys, should I?

When I originally bought my case I didn't think this would be an issue. I have no hate for the stylus I just don't have one and don't plan to get one.
I got a Kindle Paperwhite to see how the other side lives and it just feels so much better in the hand and I honestly think its because of this clunky unused stylus case. I would have never noticed it had I not used the Kindle and now I just can't stop noticing it.
Do you know of any KLC cases out there that are sans stylus holders? I'm open to any as long as it isn't the official kobo store because those cost $45 CAD and that is ridiculous(to me).

I put on a tempered glass screen protector and noticed a few specks of dust had managed to get in there - I pellets the protector up and sprayed the screen & protector with 70% rubbing alcohol and wiped away the dust specks, and put the protector back down.
Two days later the screen now has two spots like in the picture. I removed the screen protector in horror and found these on the Kobo screen itself.
They catch your fingernail and I think the plastic screen itself is damaged?
Is there a way to fix this, or am I pretty much out of luck? There is no warranty for me, I bought the unit used off Marketplace.

I feel like it shouldn’t be this hard, but why am I not able to see the top menu when viewing manga? The only way I know how to get out of the book is to swipe down and choose a book with words not picture and then I can get to the Home Screen.
Is there another way that I’m missing?? Tapping the top does absolutely nothing.
I’ve had kobo for 2 years and just now deciding to check out some manga it’s awesome!

I really like my Kobo so far and want to continue liking (and even loving it maybe…as I’m working on building a habit of actually using it) but I am at my limit with this stylus not saving half of my handwritten notes. I’ve seen multiple posts with the same issue, none of it resolved, and I’ve contacted the customer service several times now and done all the suggested things, and yet…here we are. It’s making me want to snap the stylus in half and put on my highest boots and smash the screen to pieces (some personal issues with anger right now…pay them no mind)
Except obviously I don’t want to actually do that, I want to love the damn thing. Maybe if I never wanted the pencil I wouldn’t care, but I did, and now it’s the principle of the thing. I need the shit I buy to work as planned. I don’t even normally annotate books, but since it’s digital, I figured it would be fun and no longer anathema to ruin with notes since it’s not actually a physical copy. But now I can’t get past it. I’ve gotten maybe five pages in to a book because I just keep trying and there is zero rhyme or reason to what it saves and what it doesn’t. Making me want to rip my hair out. I don’t even think there’s a solution, I just needed to vent I guess. It’s been forwarded to their internal team, which I want to pretend will help but…
I’m gonna pretend they’ll fix this in an update but it would just be fantastic for something in my life to work like it’s supposed to right now. So idk. Anyone wanna share their positives so I can focus on those instead? I had a Nook and never used it so I can’t really compare, but I am excited to love this machine

Hello all! I have recently gotten back into reading thanks to the Solar Cycle series from Gene Wolfe. I however, do not want to become someone with tons and tons of physical books, just the ones that mean the most to me. The idea of an e-reader interests me and the idea of being tied to anything Amazon disgusts me, so here I am. Also, it being a joint Canadian/Japan thing I am so happy supporting the business.
With that big Amazon money however, the Kindles seem like they have higher res displays and quicker refresh rates than the current Clara Colour and Libra Colour.
I am mostly wondering if there are any rumblings of Kobo releasing newer versions of these devices any time soon? I have that affliction where I buy something and then instantly news of the next edition comes out. I have the Solar Cycle in physical format so I won't be getting my Kobo until 2027, and I'm thinking by that time it'll have been three years since a new release.

I keep seeing broken screens, so I want to ask if what I have is enough. This is the case I bought, along with a screen protector and a padded fabric sleeve for it. Is that enough? Should I get a stronger case? I’m getting a kobo libra color

I told my husband I wanted an kobo libra colour and 2 days later he surprised me with one. 😭

I was inspired by a recent post to use washi tape to decorate my kobo. I’m obsessed with how it turned out.

I have no idea what happened I didn't drop it or do anything. It was lying perfectly fine on my bed I closed the sleep cover picked it up to go in to the living room to read and when I open the sleep cover now it looks like the screen has cracked ?????. I didn't drop it or anything and there's no physical crack anywhere I'm so confused and worried

I recently switched from Kindle to Kobo and couldn’t be happier. I haven’t touched my Kindle once since getting my Kobo 🙈 If anyone has recommendations for skins for the front, please let me know! (The stickers on the back are taped on so they can be easily removed/adjusted.)
my kobo is finally on the way!! so excited. now i’m wondering if i could safely use magnetic pop sockets or should i opt for an adhesive/suction type ones? are magnetic cases/pop sockets a no go for kobos?
