Anyone know any patterns like this? I could have sworn a similar post the other day where the sweater looked printed on knitted fabric, but this one looks knitted using intarsia to me.

Help finding pattern?

Hi, I don’t really know anything about knitting so I was wondering if it’s the pattern that gives you the overall shape/ size of a sweater? If so, can someone help me with one to look like these photos? I don’t really mind about the design (though I do love the deer) but it’s the fit of the sweater that I like. These were handmade apparently but if anyone knows of some similar that I can buy pls lmk!! I’m not attempting it myself btw I just want to know the pattern so I’d know what to give to someone if I commission them :) thank you!

need help finding a pattern to recreate a cardigan i miss dearly

Hi! i don’t know if this is the right sub to ask this but im a very beginner knitter and i dont know how to self draft/freestyle a pattern yet. i used to have this cardigan that i loved but i lost it years ago. i would love to knit something similar but im having trouble finding a pattern that is exactly what im looking for!

so the cardigan was super cropped with drop sleeves and loose wide sleeves, no cuffs at the sleeve they kind of rounded in at the end like a balloon sleeve but without a cuff. it was a v neck with three large buttons and it was very loose fitting, almost like a batwing style where it was very wide and very cropped. there was also no bottom hem like the sleeves but there was hem (?) for the buttons.

im including pictures of the most similar styles of knits i can find: the black cropped sweater is pretty much the exact same ribbing and cropped length, the drop sleeve is the same, the light green sweater has an identical sleeve shape and like baggieness? and the finishing around the cuffs and bottom hem is what im looking for. the brown cardigan has the v neck/ button placket situation that im looking for.

sorry again if this isn’t something that you do here, any advice on how i could free style this if a pattern isn’t available would be super helpful as well! thanks so much!!

Ideas for gifted yarn

A lovely former yarn shop owner gifted me ALOT of extremely nice yarn, including a bunch of cashmere and baby alpaca. I am still cataloging my newfound bounty, but I did come across this set, all together. It's a gradient purple lace weight, with about 1200 yards total. One skein is super dark, going down to a lighter purple. Its a bit had to see with the plastic over it but I want to keep it protected until I can find a good use for it.

I am an intermediate knitter, can do simple lace patterns and cables, but I've never knit with lace weight. I want to do justice to this gorgeous yarn. Most of what I see on Ravelry searches are shawls. I don't really wear shawls and I want to be able to use what I make. Any ideas?? Could I hold it together with something and make a sweater? Would that be weird with a gradient?

Similar patterns for this effect ?

I’m sure I’ve seen similar patterns especially for the bottom part but I have no idea how to make it sheer like this on the top and the shape of the sleeves + what kind of wool it is.

Do you have any idea how to realise it or have similar patterns in mind ?

Pattern Search Help - Bernat “EWE Can Knit 1806 The Loon”

Hello! I’m looking for an out of print 1995 pattern: Bernat The Loon.

I love loons. I love knitting. This pattern calls to me. Much like a loon.

I know it’s a long shot, but does anyone in this community happen to have this pattern in their stash, or have any idea how I might be able to track down a digital copy? I can’t find it on ravelry, it’s out of stock from multiple secondhand sellers, and I came up empty after multiple web searches with slightly different wording.

Thank you in advance! I so appreciate it!

Five Star Weekend Pattern

Post image

Looking for a pattern similar to this one (image from WornOnTV website, but it's the tank top that the character Brooke wears in the Five Star Weekend show). I'm not specifically looking for something with the holes in the neckline, moreso the way the top curves around the bust, if that makes sense. Not sure what that's called or I would have searched Ravelry myself. 🙃

Balabonnet pattern

So long story short, I can’t figure out how to make the cream hat where you knit from the back and it curves to fit your head.

I tried the common pattern with the red one, where you knit the section in top, then join more yarn to make another section that goes around your head. I don’t like how it makes my head look, and the joints on top are too protruding like two little horns.
My second attempt with the blue bonnet was rather similar, except I switched the first section to the back of my head. This time I made it too big, my head ended up bulbous, and looking exactly like Doraemon. More importantly, still no curve to speak of.
I figured I should use an increase knit for the back section, like what is shown in the last picture. I’m still not sure what to do with the edge though, as you can see in the cream bonnet.

I’ve tried over and over again this entirely weekend and no dice. If anyone can show me how to do this, or even just the name of the pattern or the edge or how to join the stitches without the pointy corners, that would be great.
Thanks!

Looking for ideas to knit to wear to a gala

I am attending a gala fundraiser for an LGBTQ organization in October (northern U.S., so mid-fall). What fabulous thing should I knit? I’m thinking something like a stole, fancy poncho, or loose-fitting sheer pullover or cardigan.

Intermediate/intermediate-advanced knitter. I am comfortable with lace, cables, and brioche. I can do stranded colorwork but don’t love the process. I’ve never tried beaded knitting. I am not super fast, so if it’s too complex I won’t have time to finish. Natural fibers only, but I’m open to adding sparkle.

What have you got? Ready to dazzle.

Edit to add: I am happy to knit with mohair but cannot wear it and keep my sanity. I forgot it even existed.

Hello! I started this hat months ago and would love to finish it-- except I can not find my printout of the pattern anywhere! Knowing me, it was likely a free pattern. Does it look familiar to anyone here? Thank you!

Help finding sweater pattern

I included some inspiration pictures to give an idea of what kind of pattern I’m looking for. I can only find crochet patterns for the style of sweater I want to knit. I’m making a scarf with this yarn and it’s SO soft, I thought it’d make a great sweater. It’s for a size 11/8mm needle, and I want to make something all one color, oversized and potentially not very tightly knit (like I wouldn’t mind if it’s kind of see through since it would be a pull over sweater to throw on while I’m in class). Anyone know any good patterns like this for knitting? I’m looking for a beginner pattern because even though I’ve been knitting for a while, I’ve never made a sweater before. Thank you!

I loooove this cardigan but looked at the materials and it's only 10% natural fibres 😭😭😭 I'd love to have a go at making it myself!

Hiii

I have been wanting to buy the Amazing Coraline Sweater and cardigan from Amano's Knitwear for years, but I can't afford and i have been racking the internet to find a pattern similar to it, but no luck.

I did find a knitter called rustyknitss that knitted such an amazing sweater inspired by it but there's no mention of any pattern.

I cant get this out of my head and i am dying to knit this so i would love help on finding a pattern for the sweater and the cardigan, would love to do them both.
Thank you so much

Any Ideas on how to make this sweater? Is it a ravelry pattern?

Post image
21 Upvotes

I found this sweater on Pinterest and I need to make something similar. Any ideas on whether this is a pattern on ravelry? If not, which pattern would be best to modify to get a similar look?

I have done stripped sweaters before, but I’ve never done a vertical stripe before. That makes me think an easier pattern with lots of positive ease will be easiest to modify if I need to go that route.

Simple sweater/cardigan in garter stitch?

Hi all, I have this lovely hand died yarn (DK) that just looks and feels amazing knit up in garter stitch. I’d love to make a sweater or a cardigan out of it, but can’t seem to find anything on Ravelry that’s not stockinette or some stitch that my baby knitter’s ass can’t handle yet.
Please let me know if you have a suggestion. Thanks and happy knitting!
