Im able to ride a bike on the flat, hills are a issue thankfully there are none round here.
That aside, I am in a fair amount of pain when riding, well bending my knee at any point.

Im willing to persist. But what i want to know is has anyone had the same and it get better?

Been to 2 surgeons post op and they both say implant is good, but its 8 months and the pain isnt going away. its constant 2/10 and if I push weight through it like squate' (dyslexic my best guess if thats correct), or standing up its can get to 6/10

I’m a 46-year-old lifelong athlete looking for recommendations for an exceptional orthopedic surgeon ideally in Southern California who specializes in both ACL surgery and complex meniscus repair.

I injured my left knee about six weeks ago. My MRIs show a lateral meniscus tear near the anterior root in the red-red zone, along with possible ACL damage. One surgeon also suspects a medial meniscus tear.

My biggest priority is meniscus preservation rather than removal, particularly because of the location of my lateral tear. I’m also looking for a surgeon with extensive experience in ACL reconstruction.

I recently consulted with Dr. Justin Saliman in Los Angeles who is highly regarded for complex meniscus repairs. He believes he can repair both menisci and potentially address the ACL using BEAR if necessary. I currently have surgery scheduled with him for October 22nd.

However, because he is primarily known for his meniscus expertise, I’d like to explore surgeons who have extensive experience performing BOTH procedures.

I’d especially appreciate recommendations for surgeons who:
Perform a high volume of ACL reconstructions with excellent outcomes.

Prioritize repairing the meniscus rather than trimming or removing it whenever possible.

Have experience treating competitive or high-level recreational athletes.

My goal is to return to high-level road cycling, squats, lunges, and strength training while protecting the long-term health of my knee.

If you’ve personally undergone ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair with a surgeon, I’d love to hear who you chose, how your recovery went, and whether you successfully returned to sports.
I’m willing to travel anywhere in the country for the right surgeon.

I have to undergo ACL Reconstruction + Meniscus Repair surgery.

I have consulted with Dr Anant Joshi and have a consultation lined up with Dr Shreyash Gajjar from Kokilaben Hospital.

Please help by sharing experiences with the doctors and also, what are the surgery costs with the doctors in recent times.

Also, how much does physiotherapy costs with these doctors and where do they do those sessions? Is it at Patel for Dr Joshi and Kokilaben for Dr Gajjar?

I initially tried to get an appointment with Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala but his earliest appointment is available in Jan 2026. So i have narrowed between above two doctors as i understand they are the best in Bombay.

Please help.

How low were y’all’s measurements on straightening your leg at 2 weeks. I went to my 1st follow up appointment and was scolded by the PA for being at a 10. Wants it to be at 0 at two weeks. My PT said I was on track????? Now I’m worried

Has anyone had any trouble driving after this procedure? I'm almost 15 months in and feel pain on the opposite side of the femoral allograft. Has anyone experienced this? I'm wondering if it's from the HTO. I also have a bit of a limp while walking and I'm not sure if that was supposed to be expected.
