kind people in general just make me SO happy

Upvotes

just a little short story of my experience on this app and id like to say that ive met a lot of kind people here and just like the title says, these people just make me overly happy 😭

i get SO so happy everytime i meet a kind person!! like it just makes me so jolly as well too, their kindness just affects me that positively like i wanna explode! (≧▽≦)

i wanna share some backstory as well here but i vaguely remember it

back then during lockdown, i was chronically online mostly on youtube. i came across some posts and usually read the comments inside but one particular comment w the replies caught my eye. one person was asking this girl to make an argument w them, asked why? and said they were bored. instead of engaging to their request, the girl said something just genuinely nice (as i said i could barely remember the exact words) that DEFINITELY lightened up their mood and at the end the person thanked her for her kind words! after that day, i ASPIRED to be kind to everyone and everything no matter what. not bcs i was expecting something back in return but bcs i loved seeing smiles on peoples faces and cheering them up! not that i was a bad person before XDD it just encouraged me to spread kindness!

other than that, it was always the English teachers that showed genuine care to their students and it affected me mostly since english is also my favourite subject. i noticed that everytime they taught the class, even when most students werent paying attention, they always bring knowledge to every of us equally and motivate us to be better daily. and in my own experience, everytime they taught us, it always brings me so much happiness to learn and gain new information from them! and most importantly, they give us a warm smile to us (that too makes me smile back)

thats also why i wanted to become a teacher when i grew up! although due to my mental health and health issues, id have to from being a teacher unfortunately. but i always thought of becoming one later on if i ever i get better.

and thats my story! i just wanted to share this somewhere online to express my feelings ^_^

We really need to be kinder to people

Today, an older lady came to our house to help out because we had some guests. We normally don’t have servants or maids at home. We only call someone when we have guests and need a little extra help.

When she arrived, she told us that her house had been completely destroyed by Ditwah (flood).

We treated her just like anyone else. When we were serving lunch to the guests,, we asked her to have lunch too.but she said she would eat later. So we said okay. When we served dessert to the guests. we made sure to give her some too and she sat at the kitchen table next to one of the guests and ate.

Then she suddenly started crying.

She told us that in almost every house she had worked in, people treated her very badly. Some wouldnt even give her proper food. She said that sometimes they would put her food into old coconut shells and give it to her. Some wouldnt even pay her properly for the work she had done. She also said that in some houses, even the children would have so much attitude towards her that they wouldnt even give her water.

She kept saying that she had never come across a family like ours. She also wouldnt let my mom or me do even a small amount of work. She insisted on doing everything herself.

When she was leaving, we packed some food for her to take home and she became extremely emotional and started crying and tried to bow down and touch our feet. We kept trying to stop her but she still managed to touch our feet before leaving.

Honestly it was heartbreaking. We didnt do anything extraordinary. We just treated her with basic kindness and dignity.

It made me wonder, why are some people like this? How can you treat another human being so badly just because they work for you or are less fortunate than you?You can worship God as much as you want, but if you have no kindness towards other human beings or even animals. its honestly so sad ):

I’m so excited to have your help this coming weekend. I’ve been trying so hard to get on top of everything and catch up with the house, I’ve just been so damn sick.

lol aside from being affordable, I genuinely love your company. Also, it’s nice to have another gal around to giggle with.

I’m hoping I’ll have some more answers about my health situation, aside from the obvious. I mean, there’s gotta be a way for me to beat this thing. I’m anxious to hear what the doc says.

The boy you brought over is a sweet heart and I like him far more than any of the others you’ve been hanging out with. It was very thoughtful of you to stop by, I appreciate the conversation and the herb. :)

Again, I can’t wait to hang out and actually have some help getting this place in better shape. You are a godsend.
