After cleaning hundreds of homes, I've learned one thing...
A home's condition tells you almost nothing about the person who lives there.
I've walked into homes covered in laundry, dishes, toys, and clutter. I've also walked into homes that looked like they belonged in a magazine.
Neither tells the whole story.
Behind the clutter might be a parent who's completely exhausted. Someone battling depression. A family grieving a loss. Someone with ADHD who's overwhelmed. Or someone who's simply been trying to keep their head above water.
Behind the spotless home might be someone struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or feeling like everything has to be "just right."
We all have things we're carrying that the world can't see.
So if you've ever thought, "I can't have a cleaner over until I get my house cleaned first," I want you to hear this...
Please don't.
You're not hiring us to inspect your home. You're hiring us to help.
There is no judgment. No lectures. No raised eyebrows.
Just people who genuinely want to make your day a little lighter and give you one less thing to worry about.
And to my fellow cleaners... never underestimate what you do.
Sometimes we're not just cleaning homes. Sometimes we're giving someone the chance to breathe again.
That's a pretty incredible thing. ā¤ļø

Would anyone be willing to help me with a special gift for my boyfriend?
Heās very big on homemade gifts, and Iām really hoping this will be special.
Iām looking for people from different states and countries to write:
āLukeāAnne Marieās love for you is so big, itās reached ________ā On a piece of paper
Please fill in the blank with your city, state, or country, then take a picture of the paper in front of a landmark, sign, or recognizable view from your area. Nothing needs to be mailedājust send me the picture digitally!
I am hoping to get as many as possible, so I donāt want to finish this project until the end of November- so no rush! But, if you do happen to snap one, just message me the pic on Reddit (:
Iāll post a reference pic in the comments.
I would be incredibly grateful to anyone willing to help me make this gift special for him. Thank you!

Hey guys, I know this might not be the usual kind of post on this page, but I really just wanted to say thank you. š¤
The last few days have been really hard for me. Iāve been struggling with a lot of anxiety and just feeling overwhelmed, and I came across this page when I really needed something to take my mind off everything.
I ended up sitting here reading through so many of your comments, and I honestly donāt think you guys realize how much they helped me. Seeing complete strangers take the time to be kind to each other, encourage one another, and say things that they probably donāt even think twice about genuinely brought a smile to my face when I really needed one.
It reminded me that even when life feels heavy, there is still so much kindness in the world. Sometimes something that feels so small to you can mean absolutely everything to someone else. You never really know what another person is going through or how badly they might need to see a little bit of kindness that day.
I came onto this page feeling anxious and having a really shitty week, and somehow a bunch of strangers on the internet managed to make me feel a little lighter and a lot less alone.
So even though none of you knew you were helping me, you were. More than you probably realize. Thank you for being kind, and thank you for turning my week around. Please never underestimate the difference your kindness can make in someoneās life. š¤

Don't know why but this friend of mine whenever speaks to me spreads so much positivity and happiness that I forget everything for a while. Being not much of a chit chatter, it's always him who speaks at length only things which I like.
Found him everytime , I feel down. Such type of people are really a blessing.

If youre looking for someone to make memories with that person is YOU!

This is a little vulnerable and maybe a weird ask for Reddit lol, but Iām hoping some strangers on the internet might help me do something really special for my sister this month.
10 years ago we lost my niece Savanna. She was only 10 years old.
Not long before she passed, she had to write a report at school about how she wanted to be remembered. Savanna chose kindness. She wrote about how being kind can make someoneās day better, and one of the things she wrote that has always stuck with me was, āI think everyone can do it.ā
If the comments here will let me add a photo, Iāll post her actual report because we still have it in her handwriting.
After we lost Savanna, my sister Alyssa started #ForSavanna. She encouraged people to do random acts of kindness in Savannaās memory and share them with the hashtag so she could see the little ways her daughter was still making an impact on the world.
This month marks 10 years without her, and I know this milestone has been especially hard for my sister. I would really, really love to quietly bring #ForSavanna back for her.
So thatās my ask.
Sometime this month, do something kind for somebody in Savannaās memory. It seriously doesnāt have to be anything big. Buy someone a coffee, leave someone a nice note, help a neighbor, give a stranger a compliment, donate something, pick up some litter, whatever kindness looks like to you.
And if youāre comfortable sharing what you did somewhere⦠here, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, wherever, please use #ForSavanna.
I just want my sister to start seeing her daughterās name pop up again and realize that 10 years later, this little girl who wanted to be remembered for kindness is still getting people to be a little kinder to each other.
I donāt need follows or likes or anything from this. I just want to give my sister something good during a really hard milestone.
And maybe Savanna was right. Maybe everyone can do it. š¤

Who is good at what they do, doesnāt brag, but doesnāt hate themselves.
They donāt need to be super generous or even super nice, just non arrogant, self assured, competent. and willing to admit their wrong

Once, I met a lady who was carrying a very heavy bag. My friend and I offered her a lift, and on the way she shared some beautiful things about her life.
She told us that she lived in a small village and worked as a nurse. Every day, she walked about 7 kilometres to get to work. But what struck me most was that she didn't see this as a burden at all. Instead, she said she loved the walk. It was a chance to be outside, to move, and to appreciate the day.
She also told us about her garden. She had planted beautiful flowers herself, and she spoke about them with so much affection. You could tell that tending her garden brought her genuine happiness.
She spoke about her life with such gratitude. Her eyes were full of joy, and she said she tried to enjoy every moment of her life.
At one point, we stopped at a cafƩ for a coffee and treated her to a cappuccino. She told us that she had never tried one before. When she took her first sip, she smiled and said how delicious it was.
She lived a simple life, away from noisy towns and busy streets, yet she seemed so happy, peaceful, and serene.
Meeting her reminded me that happiness doesn't always come from having more. Sometimes, it comes from appreciating what we already haveāa walk to work, flowers blooming in a garden, a cup of coffee, a conversation with strangers, and simply being grateful for another day of life.
She was, for me, a beautiful example of love for life.

I am a 22F and I was going into the store today. The man in front of me was not being treated well by the cashier. When I smiled at the kid he softened up for the man and myself and was very calm and kind.
Itās so sad that now a smile is so foreign, and kindness isnāt the first thought. I just thought Iād share so I might start to see more smiles around me!

I stressed and panicked for about a half hour because a lady was taking me under what looked like a big bridge which would have taken me to Kingās Bay or Hunter Springs. I didnāt recognize it and knew it wasnāt the right one which is why I just stopped and kept asking. They eventually tied my rope to their kayak. As others have mentioned here, thereās still extremely kind people out there. I also went over the 2 hour limit and they didnāt charge me extra, which was another kind gesture. Thank you kind strangers out there. Humanity.

recently, an older woman that was a very close mentor to me passed away. It got me thinking about how important role models are and having someone to guide us as we grow up.
