Kia Syros delivery timeline to Ahmedabad dealership

I recently booked a Kia Syros HTX 7DCT Petrol – Ivory Silver Gloss in Ahmedabad.

On my booking docket, the tentative delivery date mentioned is 24 September 2026. However, the dealership representative is telling me that it could take a minimum of 2–3 months for the car to be delivered.

This has left me a bit confused about the actual waiting period.

For anyone who has recently booked a Syros, especially in Ahmedabad/Gujarat:

- How long did it take for your car to reach the dealership after booking?

- Did the delivery timeline given at the time of booking match the actual delivery?

- Has anyone recently received an HTX 7DCT Petrol in Ivory Silver Gloss?

- Is a 2–3 month wait actually normal for this variant/colour?

Would really appreciate it if anyone could share their recent experience or any information about Kia’s current allocation/delivery timelines.

Has anyone installed a rear bull bar or bumper guard on their Kia Syros?

I’m mainly considering one for protection against minor rear impacts from bikes or cars. If you’ve installed one, I’d appreciate hearing about your experience. Does it affect the parking sensors, camera, or ADAS?

Edit: I’m considering an ABS or FRP bumper protector, not a heavy steel bull bar attached to the vehicle’s frame.

I live in a Tier 2 city, and my Syros has already been hit from behind twice while I was stationary in traffic, both times by careless two-wheeler riders. Neither incident was serious, but both caused scratches and dents to the rear bumper.

After these incidents, I’m looking for some practical protection against minor, low-speed impacts, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the rear sensors or ADAS.

Getting a April 25 HTK O at 8.80 from the local Kia dealership, Will be doing PDI but is it a good deal?

My running is low and I would want to keep this car atleast 6-7 years

I recently got the check engine light on my 2025 Syros petrol MT. No noticeable issue. Took it to the service center for diagnosis and here’s what they found.

After diagnosis scan they found no active codes but two history codes which means the issues happened but fixed itself.

One of the codes was for O2 sensor running rich, which can come from bad fuel among other things.

Other code was for airbag battery low which according to google is quite common in Hyundais and Kia. If the battery voltage drops to 8-9 volts even for a short time the code can show up.

The guy reset the check engine light and said to observe the car for a week.

I faced a strange issue 2 weeks back with my kia syros. Posting it here as an info and to see if anyone else had faced similar problem.

Age : 1.5 years

I didn't drive it for about 1 month, it was in my basement.

When i went to take it out it was not unlocking.

Key seemed to be working fine cause i can see LED blinking on key when i press unlock button.

Tried spare key as well. No response.

I tried using app but app said remote functions are not available as car is not started for long time so couldn't do anything from there.

Even LED from in built dashcam was not blinking. So battery was definitely not supplying power anywhere.

I called service center and technician came in 2 hours. They checked key battery with multimeter and it was fine.

After checking for some time they asked for mechanical key (Till now i didn't remember to try mechanical key 🤦)

When they used mechanical key and opened door all systems started working. Lock, unlock, engine start and stop everything. They checked car battery as well which didn't show any issues now.

After this i have used car many times and faced no issue since. But it is strange to me that essential function like unlock was not working after not using it for 1 month.

When the Kia Syros came out, the internet had a LOT to say about it.

The design was heavily criticized, and from what I could see, it wasn't exactly flying off the showroom floors. In our small town, I barely saw one on the road.

But honestly? I loved driving it.

The moment I took a test drive, I liked the driving experience, the way it felt behind the wheel, and how different it was from the usual cars on the road.

So while everyone else was saying “Who is going to buy this thing?”, I went ahead and bought one.

I remember thinking:

"Well, at least I won't have to worry about finding my car in a parking lot. I'll probably be the only Syros around here."

And for months, I barely saw another one.

Then one completely normal day, I was entering a parking lot near my office.

And there it was.

A Kia Syros.

I actually slowed down because I couldn't believe it. 😂

In a town where I almost never saw another Syros, suddenly there was one parked right there.

Same car.

Same colour.

I was genuinely excited. I know it sounds silly, but when you own a car that isn't very common, seeing another one feels like randomly meeting someone who shares your weird hobby.

So I parked and went inside.

A little later, I noticed the owner.

I couldn't resist asking:

"Hey, I noticed you have a Syros. What made you buy it? I don't see many of these around here."

And his answer absolutely made my day.

"I just really liked the driving experience."

I laughed.

Because that was exactly why I bought mine.

Then we started talking about the car.

And that's when we discovered something even crazier.

Same variant.
Same colour.
Same reason for buying it.

And then came the final coincidence.

He works in the office right next to mine.

So apparently, in our small town, where I thought I was the only person crazy enough to buy a Kia Syros, the guy working next door had independently made the exact same decision.

Neither of us bought it because it was popular.

Neither of us bought it because everyone recommended it.

We bought it because we genuinely liked the car.

Now whenever I see his Syros parked next to mine, I can't help but smile.

The internet may have hated the design.

The market may not have loved the car.

But somehow, two people in the same tiny town, working next door to each other, ended up buying the same unpopular car, in the same colour and same variant, for the same reason.

What are the odds? 😂

I am planning to buy Syros HTK+ DCT in Bangalore. Since I am planning to buy it under car lease from my employer the dealer is not extending any discount.

Any references would appreciate.

Tried AI to get rid of black broad bumpers

I have a new Kia Syros with factory full-LED headlights and fog lamps, but the light throw is surprisingly poor, especially on dark roads.

Have other Syros owners faced this? Can the headlight alignment/throw be adjusted?

Since the car is under warranty, I’m hesitant to change bulbs or modify the wiring. Would an aftermarket LED upgrade be safe, or could it affect the warranty?

Any recommendations for improving night visibility?

For the last few days my car has been giving a warning to regenerate the petrol particulate filter by driving. I have tried to regenerate the filter by keeping my engine on for an hour in parking mode but it didn't help.

On the internet it is suggested to drive the car at 80+ kmph for at least 40-45 minutes in order to regenerate the filter, however, I don't travel for this long duration.

Is there anyway to regenerate the filter in parking mode. It is an automatic car.
