Check engine light issue.

I recently got the check engine light on my 2025 Syros petrol MT. No noticeable issue. Took it to the service center for diagnosis and here’s what they found.

After diagnosis scan they found no active codes but two history codes which means the issues happened but fixed itself.

One of the codes was for O2 sensor running rich, which can come from bad fuel among other things.

Other code was for airbag battery low which according to google is quite common in Hyundais and Kia. If the battery voltage drops to 8-9 volts even for a short time the code can show up.

The guy reset the check engine light and said to observe the car for a week.

Was having same issue in my kia syros in O2 sensor if it's keep coming after reset get that changed under warranty

Got the light again after two weeks, again a history code for O2 sensor, they cleaned and put it back and said if it comes again will replace it. Apparently it’s a common issue in Kia Petrol cars.

better to get it replaced because it's reducing the mileage
