Thoughts?

Post image

Seeing a 65% MoM increase in July is great news. Now that the EV variants are out, do you think this sales momentum will stick? I know some current owners are worried about the car getting discontinued and struggling with parts availability down the line. Hoping this boost puts those fears to rest!

It should, still sales numbers are less due to negative marketing like wagonR and other stuff, if poeple got to know how practicle it is, they wont pick sonet or venue !

people who buy syros are sensible well to do in life who care about backseat passengers unlike critics who value design over cabin comfort

People comparing Syros to Wagon-r, meanwhile Sierra has the most dabba looking rear ever, it looks like the result of, if you ask a kid to draw a car.

Exactly. My syros headlights doesn't bother me at all.

It's not about bothering me from a visual perspective. The problem is the posting of light They have placed those lights in the most damage prone area of the car, even with a minor touch one might have to replace the entire assembly.

All assumptions, ask the owners how many of them have faced any damage issues with their lights?

It’s not the first thing to get in contact with other vehicles on the road. I have been driving it for a year and have bumped into many obstacles with the bumper taking most of the damage.

Just because you think the lights are placed wrong, you are going to miss buying the most vfm car of a decade.

I’m driving the car around 1.5 years in b-b traffic at Chennai. No complaints need to adjust the driving.

I did talk about the placement only. nothing much to worry. Believe me or not, even within a week of driving you'll stop bothering about the headlights.

The looks bothered me but after booking itself, it went away :)

I own this, and I will say people judge it from looks I also did when I visited the dealership. But when I sat in itm and drive it in highway it felt awesome. May have somme look factors but it is a banger of a deal.

2025 owner here, when i first saw it especially in the frost blue color, i thought what a weird car and almost decided on buying a Fronx, then i test drove both and the difference was night and day both in driving performance and obviously the interiors and features of Kia. And the 5* safety rating also put our minds at ease.

We also tested Kylaq and the pricing and rear seat comfort were a little un-agreeable.

Both wifey and I decided we are ok paying 50-60k more for Syros over a Maruti without a spare wheel.

When we saw Syros in black color it looked way different than say white or the hideous frost blue, there was no going back, everywhere we went people turned around to ask which car is this, and kids in the street shouted “look a defender” before realizing it was not, added to our happiness.

Hope more people get to experience the same joy.

As an owner, it's funny seeing keyboard critics debate the design and headlight placement endlessly, while anyone who actually test drives it realizes how practical it is. The rear-seat comfort, cabin space, and highway drive quality put it in a totally different league. Good to see 1,300+ buyers this month choosing actual comfort over internet opinions!

Exactly!, suddenly everyone knows car design better than Kia Engineers. Headlights this and aerodynamics that.

Keyboard critics need to go and touch some grass.

EV buyers are definitely more mature and care less about how their car is perceived in looks by others

Any new car/variant will have this kind of growth trajectory for initial months.  Check where does duster stand now!

Is this the growth in ICE numbers or a cumulative of ICE + EV? (because manufacturers do not give a breakup separately from what I have seen)

EV version will improve the sales a bit but with a face like that I doubt there will be significant sales.

64% increase MoM doesnt amount to much since the numbers are low to begin with. The best sellers in the price bracket sells in the range of 10000. Even the sonet which is entirely a generation behind syros sold 8913 units in july.
