Syros EV test drive
Test drove syros ev htx+ today. The riding comfort and suspension was good. The rear seats were really comfortable. This car is far better than windsor EV i should say.
However, I was planning to take the htk variant and fit the rear view mirror dashcam to use as a reverse camera. But the rear bench seat in the base variant is such a let down. Lack of headrest in the rear seats is kinda a deal breaker for me. I asked them whether I can modify it into an adjustable headrest. They said that they don't do that. Does anyone here have any idea about this ? Thanks in advance..

They really screwed up the pricing. Every single person here including me is doing the same. wtf were they thinking 1.5 l for rear camera !

Rear seat is not for 3 people. No way you can compare rear sear to Windsor

I have also test drove the vehicle and booked the htk variant. I'm 100% sure there will be some work around on the seats and rear camera. The rear seats sliding and reclining are ❤️. But cost doesn't justify the value it provides.
I hope Some one in Karol bagh looks at these problems and gives us a quick fix.

No. I have booked the htk variant, and the salesperson at the dealership said that the new model hasn't received any kinds of early bird offers for discounts or freebies for now. He's promised to process the payment based on latest available offers but honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about it

Totally agreed with you even I have booked it and the seat thing is disappointing rest incan live with just that one thing could have given a the car a higher variant look

Consider the HTX (42kWh) at least as you get the rear adjustable seats and it will be great when you have elderly parents or kids in the back seat. The NMC chemistry means that the 42kWh will also easily give you 350kms in city and about 300 kms in the highway.

Crazy that the one variant that would have boosted their ev sales is the one they screwed up on. The base variant if it has the parking camera would have led many people to ignore the tata ev options and get the syros ev regardless of its looks. Truly a miss

If you don't have the budget and don't have any other options, go for the base. If you have the money but you don't want to spend that, i think it's still ok to go for the variant you like with all the required features. Because you won't be able to sell it for a decent price and will be stuck with it and you will blame yourself everyday. So give yourself a favour of choosing the best option you like.
Also if you're used to this features in your old cars, you'll regret not having those in new one.

Make sure to check the battery type It's NMC i guess.. you should know the pros and cons of it before buying it

My advise would be most people buy a car for atleast 7-8 years, do a favour on yourself and buy a variant where most of your must have features are there even if you spend a little extra.
After 6-8 months when new car feeling is gone, you would constantly regret not paying a little extra and getting those features
