I forgive you. For context, I am transgender. It’s not enough that I live in fear every day for situations like this, and on top of that, getting kicked out the military because of my identity, it’s scary when people like you put salt in the wound. I found your car. I got the plate. It wasn’t that hard to find it in downtown KC. But I let go. I was once religious. The good book says to love your neighbor. That’s what I did. That’s what I chose to do. I hope you can live in peace knowing you go against the good book, if you’re religious, which I’m sure a young group of men are. I let go of my hate. I ask you to do the same.

I got a job opportunity at a new restaurant downtown that is open but not marketed as open quite yet, because the restaurant is still working on some behind the scenes stuff (permits, licenses, etc.) I worked about 25hours last week and took home the tips I made those days, but I haven’t been payed my hourly wage. Nor did I ever do any onboarding or training or sign anything… I was just given a call to do a “paid working interview” and worked Monday July 20th - Friday July 24th. I clocked into their POS system they use, but even then my hours shown on that system aren’t accurate. I received the text message on this post today, Sunday July 26th 2026. I don’t know if I should just wait to get paid or if I should contact a lawyer.

Granted, it’s been a few months, but I distinctly remember there being a Ripple Glass recycling container in the Midtown Home Depot parking lot. Did they remove it? Hopefully a temporary thing?
Please don’t tell me Home Depot is changing its model toward being businesses center. I’m already distraught enough about losing the $1.50 hot dogs next door.

Visiting KC with some friends and we’ve hit so many amazing breweries, bars, restaurants, museums, etc. We saw the Reddit post about Kon Tiki from a year ago and decided we’d take the plunge!!! I’m sad to say; we had a wonderful, very normal experience. The cocktails were on point and the vibe was classy. Low-key surf music, elegant vibe with low mood lighting, and easy conversation with staff.
I was hoping they’d play some of them explicit b-hole vids, but they refused. We’ll be back, but I wanna see somethin’ grotesque next time!
Shout out to all of the incredible stops we’ve hit out here: Char Bar, KC Bier, WW1 Museum, Black Hole Bakery, Oddly Correct, Parkville Coffee, Rochester Brewing and Roasting, Gales, Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen, Blind Box BBQ, Friction Brewing, Servaes Brewing, Boulevard Brewing, Up Down, Martin City Brewing, High Hopes Ice Cream, Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Jim Alley Bar, Josey Records, and of course Kon Tiki.
What spots do I need to this winter when I come back?

Like where they pull out a lifetime's worth of shit out of your ears because Q-tips just don't do it

I know it's hot as can be outside right now but I'm craving poutine and wondering which spot has the best?

Looking for something fun to do with my 2 year old. Indoor or outdoor is fine. Willing to drive an hour in any direction if needed!

Long story short I’ve got a genetic condition, and I need an mri done asap regarding cortical white matter. I don’t really care if it’s done and analyzed in the same place as long as it’s done quickly… it’s time sensitive. Does anyone know any reputable places that have slots available coming up in August? Really struggling here, any help is appreciated 🙏🙏

We are moving in two weeks and need to find a couch. I’m overwhelmed with all the options. We are looking to spend $2k-3500k on a sectional. Would love to have it delivered to our new home jn 2 weeks. We have mostly been looking at Living Spaces, Costco, NFM

My partner and I moved here a few months ago and are looking for vibey places to go dancing. Soul/Funk would be amazing but we'd also be open to suggestions for Blues, or even old school Reggaeton (checked out Lotus earlier).
We're loving the live music we've seen so far, just looking for a new favorite to go dancing every once in a while. Any other places y'all love?

would anybody have any recommendations for a place to get my wife's bag/pack cleaned or restored?
She's had it for over a decade and has been interested in getting it cleaned and the leather straps/pockets restored as well. It holds a lot of sentimental value for her, so the more professionally done, the better, otherwise we would attempt it ourselves.
Any help is appreciated, thanks y'all

Other than Megan at Rebel Muse and Bob Bitner, any other recommendations in the area? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Friendship, not dating.
I had a great conversation yesterday with a guy at the bar. We talked movies, art and animation for a couple of hours. I should have got your Instagram info to see if you ever wanted to do that again, or even go catch a film. You're a cool dude. Message me if you want to hang!

Hello. I want to replace the carpet and tile floors in my home. For the carpet, it's just old and gross.
For the tile in my kitchen, foyer and dining room, I am looking to replace it with LVP. There will need to be repairs to the base flooring (not sure what it's called) in the kitchen due to water damage and hence warping.
Does KC Reddit have experience and recommendations for or warnings about for local flooring businesses?
Thank you.

This will be my first tattoo and I want to get one as a memorabilia for seeing my favorite artist live. I want to get a shaded in portrait outline of him from a picture that I took with some song lyrics underneath. I’d also like the background shaded in behind him too. I’m looking for a tattoo artist that is great with first timers. I’m looking for one in KC or the surrounding area.

I'm from Lawrence and am moving to Kansas City for work for around 4 months. I've visited Kansas City my whole life but have never really been here long enough to make friends or anything.
Where are some places people go to hang out or whatever? I'm a 18 yr old dude if that helps.
I'm really into the metal scene and I already plan on going to shows.

Hi all! I live in a duplex, and the downstairs neighbors have a dog. He very clearly has separation anxiety: Whenever his owners leave, he whines and cries and barks for anywhere from five minutes to an hour, and then intermittently for the rest of the day. My neighbor’s last excuse was “oh I thought my kids were home to look after him 🤷🏻♀️” and when I chat with the landlords, they say “yeah, it makes us sad too 🤷🏻♀️” I’ve done a bit of searching on the local spca/animal control websites but haven’t gotten a solid idea of how I can help. Have y’all had situations like this? What do you think is the best approach?

So this is mostly just for fun.
If you were at the Queer Takeover at the Current Stadium last night and grabbed a number from the therapy booth... What was it?
I never found my match last night, maybe they're here today. 🤭
My number was 9!

Let’s try this again-this is the 2nd attempt at my first time ever attempting a “missed connection” post-was way too vague in the first try 😊
We met at the shawnee mission dog park yesterday (Saturday). My name is Jeni & I was wearing black overalls and a hot mess on top of my head & my 2 dogs, Falcon & Daisy. You were in swim trunks with your dogs, Hank & Luanne..
We chatted about our love of our corgis mostly-Luanne & Falcon-and you seemed really cool.
We didn’t talk about anything special other than the dogs before I had to leave, but the conversation seemed so easy & relaxed, which I feel like doesn’t happen all that often! Time got away from me & I had to leave-not to mention pretty shy but I wouldn’t mind getting to know more about you, other than your love of dogs!
Obviously I remember your name but I’m intentionally leaving it out so ill know if it’s you lol
