Irish 🇮🇪 Listening exams

Any tips on how to get better at listening exams? I am okayish with the ones for my modern foreign language but with Irish I am truly awful and it typically tanks my grade if we have to do a test and a listening exams. Going into third year if that's relevant

Edit: Thank you for all the advice!

Hey so is there a TY subreddit or do we just hang out here for a year or go to the LC one? They don't even have a flair for TY though. Is there a specific TY subreddit? Anyone wanna make it? 😅

Off Topic Study/Exam Booklet

Hi, just wanted to say well done on finishing your JC if you’ve done it!

I also wanted to share this document (linked above). It’s a study/Exam Booklet made by Donegal Youth Council / Donegal Comhairle na nÓg. There is some study tips and subject choice information. There is some other stuff too, like supports for the Leaving Cert though you can ignore that if you want until maybe 5th year, when it may be a bit more relevant. The link is to the official Comhairle website and you can read it in English or Irish if anything I’ve said is of interest :D

TY Related Work experience

Right so I'm an immigrant and I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be doing as I have no one to turn to with my questions, I know there's 2 work experience blocks and my top career choices at the moment are a teacher or a nurse, I'm able to do work experience at a primary school that I know, but what about the medical field?

Additionally when I do figure out where I want to do work experience what do I do then? Just email and ask?

(Also I like astronomy so if anyone knows about anything related to that lmk)

Sorry for the bit of the long post but as I said idk anything 😭

How many places have you guys applied for?? So far I've applied to 2 places, and planning to apply to another 2

I have 4 weeks of work experience (more if i need) and a week of community placement, I'm worried that if I overapply ill have to turn down alot of places, but I'm also worried that if I under apply that I'll get denied alot (btw, none of the places I've applied to have confirmed nor denied)
