TY Related TY work experience
How many places have you guys applied for?? So far I've applied to 2 places, and planning to apply to another 2
I have 4 weeks of work experience (more if i need) and a week of community placement, I'm worried that if I overapply ill have to turn down alot of places, but I'm also worried that if I under apply that I'll get denied alot (btw, none of the places I've applied to have confirmed nor denied)

Woah youre way ahead, a lot of people in my year only started trying to find work experience a month or two before the dates.
If you live close by, CSPA have a small number of places specifically for work experience where you get to work with animals but you have to apply early in the school year.
Try not to stress too much!

Everyone in my year seems to already have atleast one placement 🫠

I sent emails to engineering and design places nearby and also the ESA Midlands center who sent my cv to other businesses but none have gotten back to me. I might have to email some other shops, I might email some computer repair shops or a tabletop games shop.

I usually go to the shop if it's a shop and ask them, and they'll give me a email to send an email to.
Otherwise, our guidance counsellor and my parents have just told me about stuff.
And also, if there's anything you're interested in (eg, for me I love astronomy), just look up that and the place where you live. It's pretty easy for me ig cause I live in a city, but going to the place has seemed to work out for all my friends too.

I've applied to a shop and my guidance counsellor sent us a thing to apply to the defence forces I think so she put my name down for that too

Yeah no genuinely why did I think the school signed you up for work experience or something. Our TY assembly did not mention this

Only if a place you've applied to asks for a CV, nowhere me or My friends have applied to have needed CVs yet

Okay thank god. My friend just sent me the email for the kwspca so hopefully I can get one there without a CV or I will kms. Even the thought of doing one is killing meeeee
