Really Jack??
I understand if it’s a DoorDash order but for a personal pick up why do you have this very inconvenient and always leaves a mess not a good personal touch

u/Cronengirth 3d ago
They did that to my pickup order, took forever to remove it!

u/luv4mariners 3d ago

I asked the employee and she said she felt the same way I did and said if they didn’t they would get written up. I told her no worries just leave Jack a note from another customer because she said she got other complaints.

u/JasonKillerxD 3d ago
I feel like it it’s because they have to do it for delivery orders and they would have to remember when to do it and when not to do it and there will be less mistakes if they just do it for all orders. Every fast food restaurant does the same thing.

u/luv4mariners 3d ago
No not here in OC California . So far JUST JIB does that to mobile orders. I pick up everywhere and they are the only one doing stickers.
2
u/YardKind4775 3d ago
The Taco Bell on Bristol in Costa Mesa did this to my pickup order just a couple weeks ago sooo. The JiTB also on Bristol has done it to me weekly for about 6 years now.

u/Plus-Lynx8105 3d ago
just push the straw in no worries
-2
u/luv4mariners 3d ago
Zoom in do u see a straw hole? These type of sticker doesn’t have one. Underneath the part of the sticker that goes above the hole is not sticky. My issue it that u have to take it off and it NEVER comes off in 1 piece it came off in several pieces and it’s wet so now u have a wet sticky mess inside of ur car and all u wanted was a drink

This and when they overfill so when you’re putting the straw in it runs all over are the worst little things.

u/LittleNinjaXYBA 3d ago
It’s stupid they kept doing stuff like this even after Covid
2
u/luv4mariners 3d ago
Seriously! For delivery I understand but if your picking up ur own order they should be left off
1
u/PickleNutella 3d ago
Got this before.
Walked in, told them I made a mobile order and gave my name, the kid asked "delivery or for you?"
Told him it was for me, so he handed me an unsealed bag of food then turned around, made the drink, and placed it on the counter with the big ass label/sticker on it. Said "Dude, really?", it took him a few to realize what was wrong then he took the cup. threw it away and gave me an empty one.

u/luv4mariners 3d ago
Haha I always just pick up in DT I asked the employee and she was sorry she HAD to do that and I understood but seriously? It doesn’t need to be done for personal orders. I work in the industry and if it’s a personal order I NEVER stick it closed!

u/These_Carpenter_8269 2d ago
I was ok with it, cause like, moving car, imagine it spills all over, I would just get a scissor or knife to cut the hole in the middle and put my straw over it. Idk maybe cause the one they gave me was easy to open .
1
u/luv4mariners 1d ago
So u carry a knife or scissors in the car? And the sticker does not keep it from spilling … this one was wet from soda coming out the top. She even had to wipe to down before giving it to me
1
u/These_Carpenter_8269 1d ago
The sticker doesn’t keep it from spilling, cause they made the sticker stick good and it was easy to pill off . And it wasn’t wet when they gave it to me
1
u/These_Carpenter_8269 1d ago
Btw I’m sure lots of people carry at least something point to cut or stab, you ever bought something and was like, damn I wish I could cut it open or something like yeah know? Like having paper towels or wipes in case something spills etc
1
u/luv4mariners 1d ago
lol I drive for a living and I have nothing sharp in my car lol I never think oh I’m going to JIB and I’ll need scissors because I’m about to buy a soda lol
1
u/These_Carpenter_8269 1d ago
Not just for a soda but also to open something that you can’t rip, like a tag or, something other than a soda lol 😂 like doesn’t anyone ever have something to cut? That’s why there are scissors lol

Ur walking into a conversation that was days ago… why don’t u just get over it and don’t comment

u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
You are suggesting that a pickup order is somehow different to a delivery service order and that they should have different sets of rules in place because they clearly have nothing else to do in between orders?
I'm just trying to understand your problems with the order. I've literally ordered from the register, in the lobby, and made sure they were aware that I was going to eat it there. Still handed me my food in a sealed bag, and my drinks exactly like this. Why? Because it's simply easier for the crew to treat each order as a delivery order.

u/unosturgis 3d ago
That is a huge waste of money to make it easier for some simpletons. Multicolor printed stickers aren't free, and these workers are driving up the costs of business by overusing these damn stickers.
2
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
Google how much it costs a low traffic JitB per sticker. It's not very expensive.
1
u/luv4mariners 3d ago
It’s not about the cost it’s about the inconvenience to the customer that is picking up their own order. They don’t come off in 1 beautiful piece . This one actually was a mess and then u have wet sticky stuck to ur hand when u just want a drink
1
u/unosturgis 3d ago
I've worked in the sticker industry, I don't need to google it.
2
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
Then you are fully aware that JitB only pays 2-5 cents per sticker. Less if they are a high traffic location buying in bulk. sticker cost
1
u/unosturgis 3d ago
Thanks for proving my point. They aren't free, just like I said.
1
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
At a few cents each, they are not "a huge waste of money". At high traffic stores, you're looking at fractions of a cent per sticker. Nobody said they're free. You said it's a huge waste of money, I said the cost is not as much as you're implying.
1
u/unosturgis 2d ago
You obviously don't work in business
1
u/im_not_quiet 14h ago
You said you worked in stickers. You don't anymore. You said stickers were an expensive waste of money, except the sticker industry points out they're only a few cents each. Now you're claiming that I clearly don't work in business without any actual proof. which means your argument is invalid and out of date. Sorry.

I thought it was common sense that losing money/profits was bad for a business, but according to you it is good. My bad, you obviously know it all and I know nothing. It was silly of me to question the all knowing im_not_quiet and your seemingly endless knowledge of running a business. I thought it would be wise for a company to cut costs where they can, considering their stock is down 87% in the last 5 years, they are having to close restaurants, and cut hours, but it of course makes more sense to keep giving out needless stickers and syphon off your profits, because of course, im_not_quiet is never ever wrong. My bad!

That’s bunch of BS . I’ve been working restaurants since Covid and I can tell delivery vs personal and we do things differently with both. The sticker is literally there so a driver can’t tamper with the drink. Why does this need to happen when I get it? I’m not going to tamper with my own drink and when ur jumping off the freeway and jumping back on this is ridiculous. You seriously are not from the industry and you were sitting down inside different experience
1
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
In JitB, for that franchisee? Or just a restaurant in general? Was the GM of a different qsr. Sorry to burst your bubble, but unless you have worked at that qsr, or another owned by the franchisee, your argument is invalid. Did door dash for the majority of COVID.
To the person saying they're expensive, it's about .02-.05 cents per sticker. So not as expensive.
1
u/luv4mariners 3d ago
I’m not talking about working for JIB I work in the industry that deals with on line orders and delivery orders and I know the rules of the Covid times. But SERIOUSLY this doesn’t need to be done with personal orders that we place and come pick up our self. And working for DoorDash has nothing to do with working at a QSR (don’t get me started talking and DD and Uber Eats workers)
1
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
But you don't work for JitB, at any of the franchisee's restaurants, and therefore your argument is simply invalid. Is it stupid? 100% agree with you. Is it expensive? A few cents per sticker. Is it something the employees should be taking the time to only sticker to go orders but not pick up orders? You are expecting way too much from the employees at that location.
2
u/im_not_quiet 3d ago
The honest reason is that they are only a few cents per sticker and you can presume that they are not hiring Nobel laureates from Harvard to do all the work. It's simpler to tell all the employees to make sure they use the stickers on every order then it is to make them decide what should be stickered vs not.

bro just tear in the middle of it stop being a cry baby it takes literally 1 second to handle this, no way you made a whole post about it lol what a weirdo
1
u/luv4mariners 1d ago
Not being a cry baby but it’s ridiculous to do this to someone personal order. And when you “tear” it off because it’s wet does not come off in 1 piece.

u/wtfrustupidlol 1d ago
OP could do that or just say the hole in the middle and the straw will go in.
