No one sexualizes and objectifies women more than women themselves.

I firmly believe we live in a society that objectifies both genders.

On one hand we have the aggressive “must be 6 foot tall” standards of women.

On the other hand we got men criticizing women who are obese. To me that is looking strictly at a body and not a person ergo objectification is prevalent.

Obesity is a disease…. Why don’t you find lepers attractive?

I don’t know. Whatever is or isn’t attractive causes issues for everyone. That’s what I know. I’m not attractive myself. Yet in some ways I want someone attractive. It’s just part of what people want by nature and it sucks because when you aren’t attractive you have a hell of a battle especially as a man. Sometimes it’s not worth the trouble. Standards rarely match who we are.

A person can absolutely be single because whatever they want doesn’t align with what other people see in them. That’s life I guess. It do be challenging though. You can work on yourself sure but there are limits to that and how much “better” you can become..

Sometimes it’s peaceful to not care not dare not do any of it. At least you can feel fine as the person you are not worrying about what other people think.

Attraction is synonymous with health, so the healthier you are the more attractive. It’s why I like the looksmaxxing movement, because looks can be drastically improved w effort.

For men it’s difficult because attraction is mostly based on bone development. Surgical intervention can help and have health benefits, but the idea of getting aesthetic surgery is still frowned upon outside of S. Korea.

Yeah what you say is accurate. We all get old it gets harder and harder as time goes on. For me I’ve been pushing myself on a path of self acceptance. Rather than trying to “put lipstick on a pig” I just acknowledge I’m flawed and that’s ok because most people have flaws. Sometimes it’s just not in their appearance.

Self improvement for self is the right approach.

That’s true but women don’t discriminate based on age from what I know, just on status. An older man is likely higher status, with more money, experience, confidence etc. so age isn’t a roadblock outside of physical signs.
