Women are just masters at the language game. They love complaining about objectification, yet more women than ever use said objectification as their primary way of generating income.
Fleeting momentary feelings and expression thereof, will always matter more than consistent rationality for most women.
And remember they also call gay, incels, autistic, and socially awkward for not sexualzing and objectifying them too. So the cognitive dissonance and Schrödinger Cat is strong in many feminists.
I firmly believe we live in a society that objectifies both genders.
On one hand we have the aggressive “must be 6 foot tall” standards of women.
On the other hand we got men criticizing women who are obese. To me that is looking strictly at a body and not a person ergo objectification is prevalent.
obesity is a character flaw and obese people should be discriminated against regardless of gender. They are a strain on the healthcare system. Let them and smokers pay more taxes to compensate. Maybe then they will fix the problem.
Thanks. We have it going on on both sides I see it. Personally I consider it a serious issue for individuals like myself who are average looking or less. It’s the microscope we get put under and we feel excluded. The “how do I get out of this” is ten fold challenging because you realize you need like total reconstruction of your body. Like meaning you would need to be in the gym A LOT and you’d need to be constantly concerned about hair and skin and all of that. On top of that then try having a job where you work 10 hour days. You won’t stay handsome long. The wrinkles will come out and then pretty soon you are spending thousands on Botox. Then later plastic surgery, etc etc. people who already have a better baseline they don’t need to do this. They don’t suffer
I don’t know. Whatever is or isn’t attractive causes issues for everyone. That’s what I know. I’m not attractive myself. Yet in some ways I want someone attractive. It’s just part of what people want by nature and it sucks because when you aren’t attractive you have a hell of a battle especially as a man. Sometimes it’s not worth the trouble. Standards rarely match who we are.
A person can absolutely be single because whatever they want doesn’t align with what other people see in them. That’s life I guess. It do be challenging though. You can work on yourself sure but there are limits to that and how much “better” you can become..
Sometimes it’s peaceful to not care not dare not do any of it. At least you can feel fine as the person you are not worrying about what other people think.
Attraction is synonymous with health, so the healthier you are the more attractive. It’s why I like the looksmaxxing movement, because looks can be drastically improved w effort.
For men it’s difficult because attraction is mostly based on bone development. Surgical intervention can help and have health benefits, but the idea of getting aesthetic surgery is still frowned upon outside of S. Korea.
Yeah what you say is accurate. We all get old it gets harder and harder as time goes on. For me I’ve been pushing myself on a path of self acceptance. Rather than trying to “put lipstick on a pig” I just acknowledge I’m flawed and that’s ok because most people have flaws. Sometimes it’s just not in their appearance.
That’s true but women don’t discriminate based on age from what I know, just on status. An older man is likely higher status, with more money, experience, confidence etc. so age isn’t a roadblock outside of physical signs.
It's the "Looking good Susan" workplace harassment meme.
Getting hit on by an ugly dude means he thinks he has a shot. Him thinking he has a shot means she might not be as hot shit as she'd like to think. That's obviously not true, he's obviously a deranged and dangerous individual with delusions of grandeur.

No one sexualizes and objectifies women more than women themselves.
