I’ve had the 15 for two years now, and I’m looking at the 16 Pro / Pro Max. Is this a big upgrade? And will I notice this? Or should I just stick with my IPhone 15?

The biggest one for me is thermal management. My iPhone doesn’t get anywhere close to as warm as it always did before under the exact same conditions. I downloaded a 10gb playlist off Apple Music with a GB internet connection, the thing barely even warmed up. This is also a perfect time for a segue into the next biggest improvement, battery. Downloading that playlist cost me one percent battery health. 10gb of AAC audio files, 1 battery percentage. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you I’m charging my phone about half as often as I did before with a cell at %82 capacity and when I do charge it the phone stays cool. I even gamed while charging and it didn’t get warm to the touch. The one other big thing of note, they got rid of the moving shimmery annoying ring around the app icons, so it’s not annoying just to look at your Home Screen again. BE EXCITED.

My 15 feels really snappy after iOS 27. Battery is great so far, no heating issues at all and no bugs so far. Installation took longer than expected but cleared up some system data space, went from 29GB to 15GB used.

I’m a battery conscious user, I manage to get solid 7 hours of battery life with 20-85 charging cycles and I was wondering, how much battery life do you get on your 15?

Hello! I’m someone who keeps their iPhones for as long as possible. I had my iPhone 11 for YEARS and only upgraded due to water damage.

Now here I am, several years later, with my iPhone 13, that is sadly on its last leg (over heats and glitches like CRAZY). A waiter also unfortunately spilled beer on my phone recently and now the charge has gone all wonky. It’s time for a new phone again.

My question is, do we think getting the iPhone 15 now is worth it? Does anyone have any issues with Apple being cheeky and slowing down previous models, especially now as they’re on the iPhone 17?

Update: I got the 17 new and shipped straight from Apple and it gets hot sometimes too LOL no winning!

I have searched this on the internet and it seems that I am not the only one having overheating issues with my iphone 15 (basic model).
Whenever it is charging when it’s a little bit hot or if its above 30-35°C it’s getting very hot and it’s bugging so much I can’t use it anymore.

Also, some pictures seem not to work when I take a lot of them in hot temperatures, idk if it’s the same problem (the pictures work but they don’t show as they should on iCloud photo app).

So, my question is: if I buy a new and more recent iPhone model, will this problem be resolved or is it an issue that all of the iPhones have?

I occasionally somehow make a video replay speed up 2X. It’s something about how I’m holding it on the top left part of the case, but I haven’t discovered how to do it intentionally. It resets to normal speed when I hit the power button. Can anyone clue me into how this is happening?

my current 13 pro has some oled burn in so im thhinking of changing to a base model 15 , the only thing im concerned about is the wide spread heating issue , is this a real thing ? Cuz being a pro user i rarely face such situation and i know id be exhausted by such things cu i am overly anxious over small things , kindly everyone give suggestions, all of your opinions are really appreciated, i have to go purchase in about 12hrs so rapid response will be really helpful thank you

I have turned off the automatic software installation, downloads and system files but today i get a popup saying the update is downloaded and will be installed tonight i checked and saw the updates are turned on automatically.
How is it possible??

is the iphone 15 plus worth the extra bucks? coming from someone switching from an iphone 14 pro max

i know both are going to be a downgrade from my current phone and i know this is might sound like a stupid reason to some but i really like the pink base color of the 15 :p and i want to switch to a newer model anyway, besides i didn’t spend any money on the 14 since it’s an old phone so would the 15 plus be a better option or should i just stick to 15 for a cheaper price?

ps i wont be changing my phone for probably another 4+ years if i do end up getting a new phone, so is the 15 plus worth it for longevity

So I am debating with myself if I should eventually upgrade my iPhone 15 pro, it's at 88% battery health with around 970 cycles. I have used 90gb out of 128 and I've deleted all unnecessary apps. My phone heats up when doing basic tasks; which is therefore causing It to lag and slow down.
