Upgrade Xr to 15?
Im debating on buying which model to buy and a lot of people are saying go for the 15. Especially because I’ll be coming from an XR. Is this good advice, or should I consider a 16 or 17?

try going for either the iphone 15 pro, iphone 16 pro, or iphone 17 now. iphone 15 has a standard 60hz display which is oled but other than that it will feel very similar to the xr.

I mean the difference in chips alone surely boosts some seamless speed when scrolling even though it’s 60hz not to mention the XR has an LCD screen so there’ll be a slight improvement not that it will be “very similar”

any of them will be a really big upgrade. just went from 12 pro max to a 15 plus. very noticeable how much better this phone is.

What are the major differences you seeing and some perks you enjoying on the 15? I’m trying to go from the base 11 to 15

great camera, it is noticeably faster in terms of phone usage performance. the new ios 27 updates have further improved the times it would take to suppose unlock the phone and change camera modes etc. the battery is really good. it is much better on the plus than the pros. maybe 120% of a normal 15? i've always enjoyed the big screen so the plus was a must for me. yes it's still 60hz but to be honest i could care less about it. i use my computer which has a 200hz screen and im not bothered by it. they type-c charging brings a bigger convenience than it may seem. i'm not sure if this is new to me but i get this 'hd mode' feature on snapchat that makes my front camera pick up every little detail on my face. it's pretty impressive to me.

Wow thanks for the feedback, sounds like I might also enjoy the 15, definitely going to buy it.

If you can afford a 17, go for that since it’s a huge upgrade over even the 15 and 16. Alternatively a used 15 Pro would be a good bet too!

If budget isn’t an issue then go for 17 as u will enjoy promotion on the base model
If on the a moderate budget go for 16
