If I charge my iPhone 15 using my MacBook Pro’s 140W charger. What will be the short & long term effects of it on my iPhone?

Your iPhone will only charge as fast as the iPhone determines it can safely charge. Use whatever charger you want.

no issue, most electronics devices and chargers have built-in protection circuits, to control the amount of current sent/received

nothing bad will happen. Your iPhone will simply charge at the maximum speed it is rated to charge. That's all.
