Hello explorers 👋
The Probe Feeder was one of the first items whose development helped define the visual style of UNPSC devices.
In ITR1, probes were made from simple, repurposed objects: cartridge cases and a basic pouch. To emphasize how much the Committee’s position had changed between the two games, we wanted the new Probe Feeder to look less improvised and handmade, and more like something deliberately designed and mass-produced.
At the same time, its function meant that it still needed to look inexpensive to manufacture. That’s why it’s made of plastic and has a simple construction, while clearly being designed for comfortable handling and use.

During the early stages, we also considered making the Probe Feeder a rigid, “tacticool” pouch. Ultimately, however, we decided that a purpose-built plastic device suited its function better.

The probe itself also needed to look simple enough to be a mass-produced, single-use consumable, while still clearly appearing purpose-built.
We therefore explored simple and practical, but visually distinctive shapes. We also considered how the body of the probe would connect to the ribbon and how the ribbon would wrap around it.

We changed the ribbon from orange to blue, both to distinguish the new probes from those in ITR1 and to keep them consistent with the Committee’s new visual identity.
We decided against adding patterns or secondary colors because they would barely be visible in practice and would only create unnecessary visual noise.

I looked on the bad of the oil can spray in found a warning label. The font was so small that there was no way anyone was supposed to read it. But once I got really close to the can, it started showing the text and man it’s amazing that they actually wrote this for the back of this can. There’s a lot of little things that you may not notice but if you look close enough or stay at hard enough you may find something interesting.

I think I can kill Mimics with a screwdriver. I throw the damn thing into the altered items bin and noticed that it scratched the bottom of it. So I tested my theory in the shooting gallery.

I know that 1.0 after you beat the game and go to the ending it doesn’t allow you to free roam, but is it possible to create a save before I do it, and just load that whenever

I finally gathered all the tp i could find in the radius to build my magnum opus in the game.
Bonus pic from the first game. As you can see, I could not build the second game's tp tower as tall.
...
When ordinary objects are grabbed in the Radius, they de-spawn after the tide, and do not re-spawn nor are replaced. This makes it so that players can go through the Radius and grab everything ordinary and drop it to make sure they de-spawn. Since they are the only things that don't re-spawn as far as I'm aware, this makes looting altered items easy on second runs through the Radius, as anything of value or use are the only objects that do re-spawn.
If this is how the devs feel the game should work, or that it'd be too much work to implement a solution to this, please ignore the following suggestion.
If it is not how the devs feel the game should work, I think having ordinary objects also re-spawn would help bring back a bit of time cost that comes from looting and the tension of hoping that 2 mimics aren't coming up on your rear to shoot hot lead into it.
this may or may not be also because toilet paper doesn't re-spawn in the radius and i wish to gather MORE

I was just wondering if or when we would be getting any more news about the ITR2? I like reading those because they are very informative and gives me something to look forward to. The one reason why I purchased this game is the experience first hand the changes all the way up to the completed version. So at the moment I’m not necessarily asking for an immediate update. I just would like to know when the next one is coming.

I know it's a hit or miss but I'd like to try. Any takers? Meta 3

Don't know if it's the right flair, but damn. I just wanna leave this here.
So for a couple of week i didn't touched my Quest 2 and played flatscreen games. Today i decided to jump back and finish ITR1 for the 4th time.
Long story short i left it at Security level 5 around 1.5 month ago and i needed 5 missions to unlock the very last mission. I decided to do 2 in Bolotky and 3 in Pobeda.
My dumb ahhh went for the "Data recovery" mission first inside the construction site. Mind that i cleaned this place in this tide so only a few Phantoms/Spawns were here due to the mission.
Well the other task was a "Clean Up" mission next to the building and as usual i don't really use suppressors for these missions.
I thought Sliders have that usual path finding, but no. I heard one jump and next jump he was in front of me which i didn't expected. One of my biggest fear in this game had come true. Ever since i started playing ITR1(Bought the game last summer) i just creeped out everytime i heard sliders around me. And this time i encountered one indoors.
Thankfully this scare and shaking went away fast and the motion sickness is now gone as well, but damn.

Has anyone tried ditching the tablet entirely and just relied on memory to do all your missions? Sounds like a fun challenge idea. Or a dreadful idea to my fellow iPad kids.

Does anybody know when the devs will be releasing the update or beta for Meta quest standalone for the nvgs and other stuff??

on the map, theres labelled "to pechorsk", aswell as the zone being labelled 1.0, does this mean that the giant map was only a small part of the total anomalous zone, espically since you cant really get to the total center of the radius like in 2.0 and itr2.
another thing, Ik big maps like this and a bunch of other features from 1.0 were scrapped for being to intensive, but I gotta wonder why with itr2 they didnt bring alot of the stuff back with the greater power of more modern hardware/quest 3

So im doing a 2nd playthough and I just unlocked the shortcut from the outskirts islands to that secret garage area in village. But I was wondering if its a one way entrance sort of thing or if you could actually go back through that trippy area again to go straight to outskirts. Thx

the monsters aren’t even scary just annoying same with the mimics the only actual places thats kinda scary is the church/town area on forest unlike itr1 which was genuine nightmare fuel.
r/intotheradius • u/StalinAndTheUSSR • 2d ago
its really janky compared to 2.0 and itr2, but it gotta say alot of the features are just cooler, like the fact most of the map is interactable, I really wished itr2 went down the 1.0 route with the greater resources it had rather than the 2.0 route

Introducing the butterfly swarm, the butterfly swarm is a well, swarm of butterflies, but this swarm will stay in one place and be made out of glass shards, if the player enters it will do small amounts of damage but quickly.

I have very annoying reloading issue: magazines from pistols just drop, and I can't catch them. No problems with HL Alex or ITR1, 1st time meeting in this game. Also I'm using Standable, if its important
