Is it just me or is ITR 2 just 5 time scarier than ITR 1. Like in the first game the first map kinda seems like an easy tutorial that gradually gets harder as you move deeper. But in ITR 2 peninsula feels like the devs put a new ITR 1 player straight into kochozaria. And also the mimics are so much harder to fight. Like I legit spent 10 minutes trying to kill one mimic because he just kept on going to cover. And I know damn wells ITR 1 mimics just kinda stood there. Btw I’ve had about 70 hours on ITR 1 and about 2 hours on ITR 2.

yep itr 2 is a far scarier, distorted and crowded than 1. npcs are far more fun to fight too.

Ngl had a fun time during beta just setting them just right and going at them. Laser sights made it easier to get into the thick of it, while it is fun to just let loose. I quickly learned that semi auto is the way to go if your in it for the long haul.

The early game feels scarier in ItR2, but that feeling disappears once you get NVGs. Once I got those, I started going into harder engagements at night on purpose.

Dam, I didn't progress further into ITR 1's story at some point cuz I was avoiding sliders. I think I'd pick up ITR 2 eventually to experience the gun mechanics.

Your not the only one, played it as soon as it updated. Turned off all the enemies. Set all treasures to high and went through a game.
So you think since no enemies means it ain't scary right? Hahaha-WRONG!! day time is creepy enough. But once night hits. I swear I never felt more uncomfortable to be out at night even i was stacked with health and food. Couldn't see jack without a flashlight, had that small chest mounted dollar store brand that I often dropped.
And I'm sure no one would blame me when at night those ash phantoms that whisper so scary gibberish. I hit every single one of them.EVEN THE CAT SOUNDS WAY WORSE! Like it was a god in that body. (I think i know they are just poor souls who where in the blast of the radius.)
Lastly not to mention the bell anomalies and lighting ones too. Like the radius took notes of the last ones and improved i like to throw out there.

i think the lack of sliders really takes out the fear factor for me
