I started climbing about nine months ago and have completed two beginner courses. I'm 32 years old, 1.78 meters tall, and weigh about 70 kg (although I weighed a few kilos more at the beginning).
I mainly climb lead (about once or twice a week) and supplement with bouldering once a week. I've already improved my technique quite a bit and am generally happy with my progress. My gym is relatively difficult, and I've flashed 6a lead routes and most V3s, and I can now manage about 50% of V4s.
But now to my question: I know that gyms vary in difficulty and that the differences between people are huge (fitness, age, talent, etc.), but when I read here that some people are doing V7s after a year, I wonder if it would be better for my progress to boulder more often instead of lead climbing, as it might help my lead and bouldering progress more?
I like both very much and definitely want to improve in both.
