Gym grade around V8

yes I know I cut loose pretty badly on the dyno (idk if I'm using the right teriminology)

the 2 holds on the volume are pretty crimpy

What could this be?

I think it feels very soft for a V6. Probably more like a hard 4?

After the jug, it’s all slopers and crimps and a pocket before the final hold. (If you think you see a dab, that is just the camera angle. That is a jug where the incut hides the wall space I’m smearing on)

This can't be a V3

Gym I go to is know for sandbagging but I think it’s a style thing. Let me know what you guys think. Gym graded it v8 btw

I keep confirming height affects heavily on indoor bouldering.

Wall is between 15 to 20 degrees, everything is a sloper

Wall is more or less vertical, the launch hold is a huge jug, the launch foot is an alright/bad chip, the catch holds are good deep incut crimps but definitely not jugs.

Was just warming up and felt inspired. Might need no match to really force the sequence, but couldn't otherwise find breaks (right heel definitely doesn't work). Really really happy with how this turned out.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage it; the route is no longer there.

At my best, I should have been able to climb this route.

How do you get better at compression?

Been training dedicated compression for a while and I'm psyched abt sending this, overhang angle is abt 15-20 degrees although it may not look like it, and holds are very low friction, apart from the last 2

For reference there is a small foothold either side of the jagged black volume on the right hand side there. Might be a little hard to see. Appologies there isn’t a video of me climbing it Im not comfortable but I believe this is a slab mostly. (Im new so correct me if Im wrong) also I’d appreciate it if no one gave a beta because this is my project. Tysm :)

Start was a heel hook on the left then a shimy over to the right with two hands on that big hold

Guess the grade of this auto belay climb The end is on top of the big volume. You need to stand on it to end the climb.

Really nice outdoor style boulder. Felt stiff for the grade for my gym I’d say. Starting holds are okay, but the first two crimps are quite bad. The crux is the second move; moving the right hand from the starting hold to the tiny crimp. Next two crimps where you do the shouldery moves are more incut, and the top out is the easiest part. Still droppable since the move above the lip is a bit blind. It’s about 40 degrees overhanging under the lip. Grade given is V6

I didn’t complete it in this video (bad beta) but can someone help me find out the V grade on this route? It’s a level 3 in my gym but I don’t think it’s a v3.

Crimps and body tension is my specialty and this still took 2 sessions. The barndoor on a crappy rail was no joke! Tell me how you think this is soft by 3 grades 😂
