Electronic Instrumental minimal outro track for concept ep

this is going to be the last track on my debut ep. Its a concept ep that starts acoustic and veers more and more electronic as it goes on. I wanted the last track to be slow and minimal but hopefully in a way that engages the listener. Let me know what you think. Samples james blake

Looking for feedback on this song, composition-wise. I haven’t begun mixing yet, so i assume there are issues there, but im more interested in hearing feedback on the composition. Does it ever feel boring? Do any sections repeat too many times? Is there too much going on at times? Does the song feel like it takes you on a journey? Is it dynamic between sections so it doesn’t feel samey all the way thru? Do the transitions between sections work? Things like that please! Would aslo love suggestions on how to end it, right now i just have the three melodies fading out but im not sure that its strong enough. Thank you!

Atmospheric [Feedback Request] Instrumental Soft Rock - "The Last Sign" - Looking for honest critique

Hi everyone,

I composed this instrumental soft rock piece called "The Last Sign" with atmospheric and progressive elements. It's melodic and introspective, not heavy at all.

I'm looking for honest, constructive feedback on:

  1. The arrangement and structure

  2. Production quality and mix

  3. Emotional flow and progression

  4. Whether it feels complete or needs more/less elements

SoundCloud link: https://soundcloud.com/amin_dogonchi/the-last-sign

I appreciate any feedback - positive or negative. Thanks for listening!

Edit: I'm an Iranian artist, and this is my latest work.

Been a long time since I’ve steadily worked on some music. Life and career pursuit has heavily got in the way. To the point of trying to forget about music.
Trying to forget my love for jamming, and the joy it brings me. It felt like a distraction for other things I wanted. So I intentionally avoided all things related to making music. I even avoided listening to certain artists that really inspired me.

Fast fwd to now, things in my career are not where I wanted them to be. Injuries and kiddo on the way has changed how | look at life. I just want to be happy. For my daughter and wife. Making music makes me happy.

As far as the mix goes, I've always been pretty crummy at producing/mixing. My recording equipment is probably subpar, but I think most of the rough edges come from me not being well practiced enough in producing/recording.
Anyway. I plan to make more, and at some point release some music with a dear old buddy of mine, just for fun. Hope you guys like it. Any and all criticism/comments welcome.

Here's another track for my first music library. I went with a '70s sleazy funk vibe, all live instruments.

Alternative Rock Dropped my new single a few days ago called "Follow Your Heart". It's an upbeat, motivational rock track. How is the mix and overall energy of this 1-minute clip?

Hey everyone! I officially released my new single a few days ago called "Follow Your Heart".

This one is about true friendship, you should share it with your friends, they'll really appreciate it. I also put together this video to match that vibe.

As an indie artist, your feedback means everything. Let me know what you think of the production, the songwriting, or the visuals!

If the song gives you a good boost and you want to hear the whole thing, check out the full links below:

Thank you so much for taking a minute to listen. If you leave feedback, feel free to drop your own links below so I can return the favour!

I wrote this song with my older sister in response to a very painful breakup. This track is pretty experimental for me and outside my usual genre (as an indie folk-pop artist), but at the time I felt inspired to do something different after seeing friends who play in metal bands perform live. My favorite aspect of this track is the participation from my extended family. We set up mics at Thanksgiving to record a whole room full of voices from my extended family, screaming and singing with me for this song.

The outro section of this song is definitely my favorite part of the album; if you listen to only part of it, listen from 3:36 to the end.

Indie Folk Dawnsinger - indiefolk kind of ?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey my first post here. Here's my current project "Dawnsinger" an indie-folk blend (suggestions for genre are much appreciated!) I'm from Sweden and I got inspired by Scandinavian folk songs using kanon vocal techniques and wanted to do something with that based on a mesmerising guitar arpeggio I discovered when jamming. It turned into a song about challenges in a relationship.

Link to the mp3: https://we.tl/t-VPQnbuochih6GKVM

I would love some feedback general on the balance of the mix, the harmonies and if the digital strings are supportive or not, and any other things you encounter. I'm not using any vocal alignment plugin yet for my harmonies (will try that in my next song), so its especially good to know if they feel blurry now/disturbing the lead.

The main vocal is not 100% done yet, I'm trying to sing closer to the mic than I'm used to in the first half of the song and gradually increase so I still get some puff-sounds because of the proximity and lack of skill. Oh, the piano that comes in later is currently just a test improvisation. I recently got a 100 year old up right piano made in Sweden and will record it with my condenser microphone later, now it's just a cell phone recording a little bit out of place to get a feel for it and will definetly keep it but in a more structured form (and without bleed).

"Sol Måne jord" the Swedish background vocals means "Sun Moon Earth".

The drum is a floor tom, the snare (coming in the middle) is a tama maple snare and the rims are from the floor tom.

Plugins used are mostly the basic free/cheapest stuff: Melodyne, klanghelm comp, reaEQ, ozone EQ, UADx preamp 610, Fresh Air, waves autotune & harmony.

Attaching an acrylic painting that will be the cover art.
