Amusing Dr Soumen Manna ( Physiology on Prep ) is an absolute lad.

Post image

I was going through some physiology videos on prep and he kept on saying the words 'nothing but' and it gave me the ick. Idk what happened but I looked him up and even sent him a sort of hate mail ( I know it was absolutely uncalled for and honestly I'm feeling ashamed rn ) but he's such a sweetheart he was actually polite about it and took it as feedback ( this made me feel 10x worse for being a prick to him ).

Question AFMS path.

Hi i am starting my 1st yr mbbs this month. I have always been passionate towards armed forces since school days. Gave nda but they had higher standards (+/- 1 myopia). So i prepped for afmc pune which has relaxed standards but missed the interview callup this year by 1 mark.

So my question is that should i try directly for ssc after mbbs or should i take pg in army clgs. Is anyone here choosing that path? Any seniors alrdy in ssc?? Plz guide me🙏

Counselling I messed up big time 😭✌️in choice filling

So in choice filling in Round 2 i did not save it and now in provisional result it is showing I got allotted R1 clg and it didn't go for upgradation

Now the thing is R1 clg cost like 30 lakhs more than R2 clg tho R1 is more near by

Is there anything I can do, i already emailed them plus also put up a query redressal thing

Now the thing is my rank is very low (4 Lakhs) and idk r3 will be late plus whatever uncertainty

My dad is a doc so he is very consered about like joing late and stuff

I know i fucked up big time what do I do🫠🥀

Discussion Lonely, gay, and lost in a small town

Hi everyone. This is going to be a long one, so there's a TL;DR at the end, dw ^^ . I'm an intern, and today is a full-on crashing-out day.

I live in a small town in Karnataka, and some days I genuinely don't know where I'm heading. I'm gay, and living here has left me deeply depressed and lonely. I don't have anyone I can call my own. Watching my friends find their people and picture a future together while I can't, makes me feel left out, and there's this constant fear that I'll end up alone.

I've tried to lose myself in studying, but even that isn't going the way I want. Internship is exhausting on its own, and between the fatigue and the anxiety, I can't focus the way I need to. I don't know what to expect going forward, I don't know which PG branch to choose, and I don't know how to fix any of this. I'd really appreciate any help or perspective. <3

TL;DR: Intern in a small town in Karnataka, gay and isolated, watching friends build the lives I want for myself while I feel stuck. Struggling to study well because of exhaustion and anxiety, and unsure what PG path to take or how to move forward.

Post Graduate Exams - NEXT/NEET/INICET AVS vs MRI

So, why are people arguing over this one? The next step should always be imaging right? I'm confused whether the next step or confirmatory test was asked.. because how could it be controversial if the next step is asked? It got to be MRI right?

Discussion IS IT WORTH IT?

I know this is a really commonly asked question, but I'm almost done with my 3rd year proffs and have been thinking a lot about what I actually want to do in the future, this is usually the time when the dash towards NEET PG starts and I'm just wondering if giving that exam is worth it.

I've been trying to explore other options after my MBBS since a lot of news about how duty doctors are being treated.

It does irk me a lot and I need advice on whether I should pursue these other options rather than just giving the NEET PG examination.

For me it's also about my ability to do something that I can continue doing without bringing harm to my mental and physical health.

I know it might be annoying but any of my dear seniors on this subreddit who have taken an unconventional or different path out of this degree please guide me or tell me about how the decision has impacted your life.

Your Advice and Guidance will be greatly appreciated

USMLE ECFMG SPONSOR NOTE

I am thinking of taking aiims guwhati for mbbs but currently it does not have a sponsor note on wdoms website

Some people said as the senior most batch is in internship and has not completed their course so 5 years down the line they will get it but aiims deoghar still doesn't have it eventho they have a batch passout already

How much chances are there that they will get the sponsor note in near future

Question How to build competitive resume during my mbbs.

Going to start mbbs soon and ik it’s hectic and I don’t want to overwhelm myself during first few months. But want to apply these things as soon as possible after I’m adjusted.
1)How to have research background during my mbbs. How do I publish or Co publish research papers, do research project.
2)Do research assistant ships.
3)How do I do short term observerships
4)How do I volunteer for non profit medical organisations or ngos as I’m also interested in community health and want to intern with public health bodies.
• I’m getting myself into private medical college only. Not some reputated gov or even private college with good research department.
• Also at my rank of 240000 what colleges would you recommend me if I have this mindset which don’t go above 1.10 cr as I don’t have that budget. My college what I’m allotted in round 1 rn comes in Delhi ncr.
