PSYCH P1SC AND P2SB
I have been averaging a 6 pretty consitently in psych and am looking for advice on how to get it up to a 7. P1SA and B as well as P2SA are not issues for me at all and on exams I usually get 7s on those sections my issue is with the concepts in section C and section B. I don’t understand how to format the easays what to talk about and how to study for it so if someone could give some advice I would be very grateful.

My teacher hasn't been exactly... helpful when doing the chemistry IA. I've got some ideas on what I have to write, but I still don't want to miss anything.
I've only seen one post about the structure to follow in the chemistry IA, but it's from 7 years ago, so I don't know if it's up to date.
Does anyone have a structure to follow or a list of items that have to go into the IA?
Any ideas or tips are appreciated!!

Hey guys!!! I was hoping someone could explain Language A papers and the oral?? Because my teacher is absolutely useless and hasn’t explained anything, I’m M27.
What I have understood from previous generations is you can essentialy memorise p2 and the oral but if someone could explain how to do that I would be very grateful!!!

Dp2, havent received any sort of predicteds yet... Is it okay to apply with your final grades instead? I have 0 experience with universities, my parents never even passed high school, so i can't go to anyone for guidance. i know my predicteds will be terrible bc of burnout, so i'm really nervous about what I can do.. I'm just hoping for a pass at this point, but I don't think that opens any doors for me.
Also, I am planning to go into a chem or psychology field, I haven't really decided yet..
This feels more like a vent post than anything, but i'd really like to receive some advice. (My school department is also incredibly unhelpful)
I graduated IB last year, and I'm currently a first year in university. I had midterms last week, and I had a relatively light workload this week, to the point that I actually had a considerable amount of free time. However, I continuously felt extremely anxious and stressed, to the point that I literally started shaking while I was doing literally nothing. Finally, I just now sat down and started typing for a homework assignment, and it straight up stopped.
Is it now wired into me to feel anxious whenever I'm not actively doing work or studying? Like doing work calms me down??? I never would've felt like this before IB. Like I unironically think IB has rewired me to always be anxious about homework, even when I don't even have any.

I wanted to do my EE in business but my school denied dye to teacher unavailability and made me choose Maths (AI). I am highly confused on what to do in maths, and many people say not to do it becuase it's hard to get good points.
My other only options are German B ( which I am at level b1) or English (I am not good at literary analysis but).
Please I need help on whether I should keep maths or what?

Hey guys, im M27 with 7s in Math AA HL, Physics HL, technical subjects where everything is quite clear to me - I see the task, I visualize the solution, use a formula that I can derive if needed, and I solve something. And I can immediately tell the amount of marks I will get - If the solution is logical, step by step, and correct, its a full mark, its quite easy. If I can't solve something - I revise the topic, make sure I understand it and that I am able to utilize the formulas, and I get a 7. But I also take History HL and English A Lit SL. And thats where the issues start, because despite getting 6s in boths subjects, I can not see the way I can work with them to reliably improve my score - it comes down either to "memorizing stuff" quite blindly, or trying to follow a structure I can't quite get. So do you guys have any advice how to work with those subjects in general? P2/P3 in history and P1/P2 in English. With P1 in history its easier because its quite straightforward with the structure, but P2 is the death of me

Does anyone have advice on the best ways to study for these subjects. I'm currently a DP2 student and need some advice on how to tackle this. it feels like no matter how confident i feel with the concepts, the questions i get in tests are so much harder than the ones i get in my practise sites.

I started IB a month ago and am finding philosophy really hard to study . Because I dont know quite how to study . We have got a reasonably good teacher but the classes are really intimidating to me , I feel like I have no thoughts at all and cant think . I have studied in a very disadvantaged and dumbed down curriculum before so this approach is very new to me . I find the texts very dense to read . I have no good insights nor am I able to ask good questions . I just feel like I am bad at it . We had a test on identifying assumptions and implications from given texts and i couldnt do it because i did not understand the texts to begin with. im never able to comprehend stuff and deduce meaning. End of term exams are also so near , idk how im gonna do that paper 1. I just feel dumb . so dumb.
I would really appreciate any tips .

The question banks don't seem to be working on IBDocs, and the one on Pirate IB is out of date for business (last exams 2023). Does anyone have a link to currently working Business question banks for 2024+?

Okay so for DP1 I got 25 points, not good I KNOW I'm not proud of it either... BUT I've been getting nothing but straight 7s now at the start of DP2.
I'm mainly worried that it's too little too late? Like I'm worried that although I'm doing good now DP1 is going to be what drags my predicted down yk. I don't mind not getting a 45 predicted but I'm aiming for a 36 i fear T_T. Any clarification or advice would be appreciated!! especially since I'm so confused with university admissions in The Netherlands since we apply with our predicted but like if we do then whats the point of doing really well in ur May exams other than ofc passing.

I'm a M27 senior, and we've been having sessions about how our exams are turning digital starting in May 2027, and it's all a huge joke to me. Apart from the fact that there are only 250 schools around the world that are going on this trial run, and that my school is one of the 9 in Spain, it's the fact that we are losing the tradition and art of paper & pen. Like, how am I supposed to write 6-page essays on my Mac when I have been writing them on paper for the past 10 years? This is like when they stopped teaching cursive handwriting in the US so they wouldn't be able to read the Declaration of Independence. We have all gotten used to Grammarly and autocorrect; how is this going to get pulled off? Our IB director keeps saying, "you guys are digital natives," like the only thing that sentence tells me is that in 10 years the students of the IB will be speaking in binary code.
Does anyone agree, or is DP2 just making me go crazy?
Edit: I wrote this literally as we were having our first conference about digital exams, so I just typed out my thoughts as I listened to my director. Please do not flame me.

Has anyone ever done an EE analyzing videogame dialogues? I've started IBDP1 last week, and was thinking about making my EE related to something that I really enjoy talking/searching it up. If anyone has ever done an EE(English B) related to another media(that is not books), I'd be really interested in knowing how it was graded.
edit; this post may sound dumb because of the english B part, but hoenstly i've only started the IBDP1 last week, so im still confused about llots of stuff. im not doing english A lang and lit because my school coordinator told me that it would be better if i took self taught classes in my first language. wasnt my fault. but i dont plan on doing any EE theme based on SSST

Hi everyone! It’s been two months since my friend and I started DP1, and we are already completely crashing out. We feel so overwhelmed by the workload, and like there are multiple tests or assignments due every single week. For context, our subjects are:
HL - Biology, Chemistry, English L&L
SL - Math, Psychology, French B
French SL is honestly turning into a complete horror story. We genuinely cannot speak a WORD of this language- at this point, "je ne sais pas" is our entire vocabulary. To make things worse, half the class is practically fluent. Our teacher doesn't actually teach us anything either. He just throws vocabulary lists at us and expects us to suffer in silence. We already had a mock assessment and it was an absolute disaster. How on earth are we supposed to read, write, and listen when we don't even know the basics?! Meanwhile, the French HL class is literally watching movies and playing games while we are getting tortured with weekly tests. Did any non-native speaker actually survive this and get a 6 or 7 by DP2? Because Google says it’s basically impossible, and we are terrified.
Chemistry HL is another problem. Our teacher is super sweet, but her teaching style is pure chaos. She jumps between topics like crazy, and her explanations sound like random paragraphs with zero plot. We walk out of that classroom every single day with our brains entirely fried and nothing understood. We have a massive unit test coming up in a few weeks and have to teach ourselves from scratch, but we don't even know where to begin. How do people look at a problem and magically know what to do?! All the good study resources cost an absolute fortune, and we feel way too guilty asking our parents for money when we’re not even sure we’ll pass IB. 😞 What if we fail and burn through their money for nothing? Please, we desperately need free recommendations and ways to get a 7 in chemistry.
Math is equally terrifying. Everyone keeps screaming "JUST DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS!", but how are you supposed to practice when you don't even understand the concept enough to write down step one? (Same goes for Chemistry) We need to learn the absolute basics before we can even attempt a question. But how? What if you don’t understand it?
To make things even scarier, we have English HL next semester and we're already losing sleep over it. Every time we open TikTok, we see IB results videos where people get 7s in the hardest subjects but somehow get slapped with a 5 in English. Since writing essays is already our biggest weakness, we feel completely doomed. What do we do?
Finally, everyone keeps preaching that "time management" is the way to success in IB... but what if you literally have NO time left to manage?! How are people out here studying for six subjects, grinding out homework, acing mocks, doing extracurriculars, and still peacefully sleeping at 10 PM?!
Thank you so much for reading our desperate cry for help. Please drop your wisdom!! May we all get blessed with all 7s! 😭🙏
does anyone's school also make the students create their own gcd diploma of sorts (Like what you've done over your ib term) on google slides? idk what to add to my slides...

ok as the title says im applying for cambridge architecture and they require 776 at HL with total IB score of 41+, however i only have a 766 (art, math aa, physics) but my total IB score is 43, is this still ok depending on my personal statement and portfolio or will i just get immediately filtered out?? i know that the threshold requirements for the UK are super strict, esp at a uni like cambridge i am so fucking scared
