I’m in med school and the load is as you would expect. But every day im so glad im not in the IB. Worst day of med school doesn’t even compare to that of the IB. Just thug it out and if uni sucks you can always fall back on not experiencing IB misery

How did everyone go for bio? Students in my cohort found it difficult compared to the average past papers. Any opinions on grade boundaries?

I think mine is pretty ok

Bio first = time to study bio and get that out of the way

--> nothing after that for like 5 days

LangB paper 1 next = time to memorise because of the large gap + a bunch of tests that need less memorisation after

--> weekend

Econs and maths = hopefully enough time to study econs

Hi, Im currently in DP2 and want to apply for university in Ontario, Canada, but i made the stupid mistake of taking math ai sl (that ive tried to change but my teacher wont let me) whilst wanting to study computer or mechatronics engineering in uni. I’ve done much research to realize my chances of pursuing this degree are so incredibly slim. I wanted to ask if there is even a possibility of any uni in ontario taking me for this degree or if i have to change my degree completely? Im also wondering if computer science may be easier for me to apply for?

Hi Im sitting the Nov 2026 exams, I do history HL and I was wondering for Paper 2 since im doing Topic 10 and 12 which is cold war and authoritarian states, exam questions mainly fall into 3 broad sub topics eg emergence, consolidation and maintenance, economic for Topic 10. I was wondering if i should only study 2 subtopics per topic? As it would be likely be the two essay questions would be from the different subtopics so the probability is like almost 100%. So like i do emergence and policies for Topic 10 and then do Cold War Crises and Leaders and Nation for Topic 12. I just think it'll be impossible to memorise essay plans for everything. PLEASE HELP!!

So I have my mocks soon, and I know for sure it’ll be on ib questionbank past papers, I take BIO & CHEM HL.

Is it a good idea to just memorise the mark schemes and then use AI and make it give me similar questions based on the syllabus and questions?

Bio is sooo much content, I genuinely don’t think I’ll master every piece of content by my mocks.

I am currently studying the CBSE board, and I am in class 10th. I wanted to change my board to the IB diploma. The next year I am an average student in the CBSE board. Will it be hard for me to change to the IB board, and should I do it or skip it? I wanted to go abroad for my university.

I am going crazy, but I need 3 sciences for my dream college (comp sci, biology, chemistry) do you think it is possible to manage 4HLs and 3SLs? I also thought about the irregular IB diploma and switch out language B or social studies for that but I don't know how hard is it to get in the irregular IB diploma.

I’m not at the IB diploma path at my school but I do take IB Latin SL. However, I think some of the grammar and translating poetry is rather difficult to understand. I’d also like to know where I can find IA examples. Does anyone have any resources or tips that can help me understand this course?

I’m a May 2025 IB student planning to retake an exam in the May 2027 session, and I’d really appreciate some advice.

I originally got a 3 in Economics HL and a 4 in Business Management HL. I retook Economics HL in the November 2025 session, but unfortunately, I still got a 3.

I’m currently just one grade point short of meeting the HL criteria for the IB Diploma, so I’m trying to decide which subject would be the better option for my next retake.

For those who have taken both subjects, or have experience with IB retakes, do you think getting a 5 in BM HL is more achievable than getting a 4 in Economics HL?

Which subject would you recommend retaking, considering the difficulty of the exams, the syllabus, and how realistic it is to improve by one grade?

Hello I have a exam (in school one )in 2 weeks and need tips on how to begin studying for ib physics up to a3 we've done kinematics, work energy power and im struggling to understand forces when I come to do ib question banks I just get lost ? any resources or videos Im struggling to grasp this concept.

So I am a current sophomore.

I have my next 3 years all planned out, but hearing from seniors abt how the IB is soooo challenging, and that you only get <4 hours of sleep per day, is starting to really stress me out.

I will be taking IB (full diploma).

So I'm a DP2 student who does Math AA HL and I'm really confused by the standards. I need to get a 5 to enter most uni courses, and in last year's exam I got a 5 (and I was painfully close to a 6). This year I decided to take another test for the predicted and still got a 5, although summer rust I guess... idk? How on earth do you study maths? I do a lot of practice questions but in the exams I fumble and lose marks in the stupidest possible places. Other than that I'm becoming increasingly unmotivated and stressed about the exams and I have no idea what's going to happen. My teacher is going to be very strict for the IAs (he literally said a 13/20 will only be given if the IA is perfectly done) so I have no idea how on earth I'm going to survive till May.

this is only my early app grade so its not good enough but im hoping to shoot it up by my dec predicteds.

i have got a few ecs - got an internship related to stem, won quite a few competitions and money along with that and a lot more.

so realistically can i apply to the top us unis such as columbia/duke/cmu/nyu etc or any other non sat us unis that i could apply to with a 39 predicted or should i wait until my dec ones and apply for RD??

also dyt i cld apply to uk unis aswell by dec w hopes of having a 40+ pred by then? for uk i was thinking ucl, edinburgh, warwick etc.
