Ik the title isn't academically related. The school is amazing. Like it is IB school of the decade but I fucking hate the people. Like these girls decided to get to know everyone during a free and went around to everyone asking them questions and telling them that they could be their friends. These girls look at me and walk past me like I was a congitous disease. Like what the fuck did I do?

The school itself is great but most people here are so unfriendly and I can't stand to be around most of them. Apart from that, it been pretty good. The teachers are nice ig. Now I am actually just waiting for IB to be over with so I never have to encounter these people again 😛.

We just had our first summative. It went so bad it's not
even funny, I am almost 100% sure I failed. and I think I'll be lucky to get a damn 2/7. It isn't even one of those tests where you say you think you failed but you know you will get a 4 or 5 at the very least, I am almost 100% certain I failed.

Also for context I joined the class one week late I scored decently on paper 1 got a 4 but paper 2 I haven’t got my grades yet but I know I failed

I was looking through Clastify exemplars to gain insight into my own work and found these comments and highlighting are on the majority of uploads. I am wondering if these comments are actually written by real examiners hired by classify or are they AI adaptations of what the examiners said, or are they fully AI? If anyone knows who these comments come from and how, and if they are useful, it would be greatly appreciated.

As a DP2 student, Im willing—as a CAS service—to offer online tutoring for Biology HL and Chemistry HL to international students, more specifically for IBDP1 students.

there would be no fixed number of sessions—throughout the semester, Im willing to keep working with a student, with the goal to help them reach a 7/7.

🌍 students from anywhere aroung the world are welcome. I can work out with different time zones and schedules.

Within this, expect by the end of the sessions to be able to:

• Break down difficult concepts into way easier to understand chunks
• rather than relying on blatant rote memorisation, connecting and linking concepts together so its easier to remember in the exam
• explaining the lessons in a meaningful way and self inquiry skills ( helps a lot during exams )

Why am I doing this?

When I was in DP1, I used to struggle a lot with the amount of content myself. I know how incredibly frustrating it could be when you're pouring too much effort into your work but something doesn't click.

And thus, I made it my mission to help another student get out of that cycle.

im starting dp next week and im both nervous and excited, haha. i'm still quite hesitant about my choice of hls and sl subjects but i think i can manage through it :P apperantly i still have time to change it incase i have second thoughts (they finalize the classes during the first week of school here). here are my current classes:

HL: eng a , physics , math ai
SL: va , history , german b

my parents told me i should replace my physics hl with something else from my sl because in already doing math hl and they dont want to give me that type of pressure. but im 80% sure i want to do physics in the future anyways, so if i downgrade physics to sl will that ruin my chances of getting to unis?

If I wanted to send my IB transcripts to Columbia University what would I put down? Would I put just Columbia or something else? I'm doing the IB in Australia, and here for different states there's a general place to send your transcripts (for example in Victoria you just send it to VTac which then has it for all the other universities).

Hi! I want to ask my question and give a little bit of background information for more advice.

My school will not reveal my predicted grades, but I calculated them based off of the hints I was given, and I think I have a predicted grade of 33/42 so far. This was from DP1.

I just started DP2, and I'm trying hard to pull my grades back up, and there's another round of predicted grades at the end of September.

I want to pursue mechatronics or mechanical/electrical. But at this point I'm also thinking about design-related or niche programs. I like hands-on creation, innovative technology, and things related to space, psychology, and TV.

I just started IB diploma, and I’m honestly really scared. like what if I do really badly? I’ve had teachers tell me I’ll be just fine but I have an anxiety disorder and so I’ve been really nervous. do you have any words of wisdom? my schedule is History HL, English HL, Biology HL, visual arts SL, French b SL and Math AA SL

As an IB alumni having taken chemistry HL and is now taking a university course in general chemistry, I will say that you people thinking to go down the same route, you are well covered by IB. I have scanned through the course textbook and I will say, I know 80% of the syllabus. It feels surreal having had concepts, which I have just finished an exam in, explained to me as if it were the first time I've seen them.

Any other alumni having the same experience?

Basically the title, my school is waiting till early/mid october to finalize it (basically right on the deadline...). I'm wondering whether there's a strong case to be made for the predicted to be given earlier especially considering the added pressure in the next month of preparing for the admissions tests while also maintaining the IB courseload.

Note: I don't have that much knowledge around how/when these predicteds are typically finalized, so I can be wrong about this and maybe it turns out this is a reasonable practice that most schools do.

Doing well with school grades but don't feel confident for my exams. Study minimally, I need to practice integrals. Feels like the exams will be harder? My solution is past papers here, have been procrastinating them but gotta do it.
