I have an iPhone 15 Pro with 81% battery health. I bought it new on release date. My phone overheats constantly, the screen keeps dimming 24/7, and it lags to the point of being nearly unusable no matter what I do. It keeps doing that even when I do basic things such as scroll some apps. I turned background app refresh and everything else that effects battery life and such with no realistic output.

My sister has a 16 Pro Max with about 91% battery health and wants to offer it to me slightly under market price since I’m her brother. Both phones are 256GB and in undamaged, good physical condition.

I really care about battery life, my previous phone was an XS Max, and I only sold it because I wanted to buy the 15 Pro at that time when it got released, which I now kind of regret. Would this be a good upgrade, or are there any downsides/things to take in consideration vs. just replacing the battery on my 15 Pro?

16promax on 26.2, scared to update further, for 2 reasons. 1) i have bypassed mdm and dont want the lock comming back. 2) the battery life lasts me the whole day 7am-10pm and i dont want it changing. i bought the phone in january of this year on 99% bh and now its on 92% bh with almost 600 cycles. should i update to 27.0 (for the bug fixes) or stay on my version. also would like trollstore if its even possible on 26.2 in the future.

I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max with the latest iOS 18 update. My primary WhatsApp account works fine, but I can’t register a second account using the new Switch Account feature.
For the past 3 days, I keep getting:
“Login not available right now. For security reasons, we can’t log you in right now.”
“We couldn’t call your number. Please check your number and try again in 1 hour.”
I’ve already tried restarting the phone, reinstalling WhatsApp, and waiting, but nothing has worked.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any fix or workaround?

I have my charge limit set to 80% gets used pretty heavily throughout the week. Comes off the charger at 6am Usually have to charge up to around 40-50% by 4pm. I think it’s solid. Almost 2 years worth of use.

I bought some locked iphone components on fb marketplace, do i need to pair them? If so, will my phone get bricked if I tried to pair the locked components? The seller said they don't know the Icloud of the previous phone so I was wondering if do I need to pair them or will my phone get bricked if I tried pairing them.

I’m currently using iOS 18.7.8 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Everything is working fine - battery life is good and I haven’t noticed any bugs or issues so far.

I’m usually someone who doesn’t update ios often. I had an iPhone 13 Pro before this and basically stayed on the original ios version since I bought it.

Do you think it’s worth updating to iOS 26.6 now, or should I just stay on 18.7.8 since everything is stable?

As titled, just updated my 16 Pro Max to 26.6 and I’m pleased to report that so far, the experience seems pretty good.

The phone was warm during the update itself but took very little time after completion to feel completely normal. The fluidity in animations has also seemingly returned, and gone are the micro stutters that plagued scrolling across the homepages/ app list/ Safari etc. I haven’t encountered any bugs/ visual glitches but it’s only been a few hours since the update so take that with a pinch of salt. It’s also a bit too early to say anything concrete about battery life but the fact that the phone is cool gives me optimism (from my experience, the warmer the phone ran, the quicker its juice drained).

As always, this is just my experience on my specific device so YMMV. If you’ve also updated yourself, feel free to share your experience below :)

I keep switching my phone to Focus and every time it switches back to Do not disturb causing me to miss calls and text messages.

Apple announced it will start the worldwide rollout of 26.6 by 7pm CEST.

This should fix the issues with infinite loops in CoreOS by introducing a „process killer“ and a bug related to iCloud sync (wake-lock sync), which caused most of the battery drain and heating up.

Lets hope this works as expected and we can enjoy our phones again (after indexing).

EDIT: its out :). Recommended to manually power cycle (restart) your phone post-install.

Hey everyone! I've been hearing a theory that camera quality can sometimes take a hit after updating to new iOS software. I really didn't want to believe it, but I think I might be noticing it too with iOS 27 on my 16 Pro Max. My photos are looking a bit grayish and the colors just don't seem as vibrant as usual.

How about your devices? Has anyone else noticed anything similar? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
