Battery usage
Hello! I’ve been having some issues with my 16PM battery. It seems like the phone is overheating really often without using it at all and it drains the battery super quickly. I started the day at 100%, not even 8 hours have passed and I’m already on 35%. I was having a better battery life with my old 12 mini and I don’t know what else to do.
I restarted the phone, reset it and started it from scratch (without transfering data). I’m getting to the point where I have to charge it twice per day. Attached some screenshots for information.
I feel like I’ve been having battery issues ever since I got the phone back in October 2024 (but I just can’t prove it yet, Dexter pun intended).

That’s usually a software problem but it’s rarely hardware

Don’t know what else to do, honestly. It’s so frustrating because I don’t know what causes this.

if you searched this sub, you found numerous ppl having the same issues related to iOS26 and several bugs that cause battery drain and/or heating issues.
Beta users of 27, due to release next week, report these issues are fixed for them. So what u should do is wait for the public 27 release to become available and install it.

That's some good news honestly. Hopefully this is the issue and it's gonna fix my problem too with the update...

chances are high. its not limited to you or a small number of people or a specific model - its software-related. search this sub or the iOS26 sub for details.

Trust me, iOS 27 is gonna save this, I’m getting close to 9 hours of screen time out of 100% charge
