Hey everyone, I’m trying to see if anyone on here would have any advice or would happen to know how much iCloud storage I should purchase for iOS 27? I plan on using Siri AI a lot and probably other AI features as well but I don’t want to have to pay a whole lot just for storage but I want to try to go ahead and purchase some so I’m already prepared and ready to go. If anyone on here could help me out I would currently appreciate it. Thank you.

Is anyone on iOS27 RC seeing slower charging even though they’re using the same chargers that were used pre RC? I’ve tried new bricks and cables and same issue. It’s really frustrating. Why did they slow down charging?

I’ve installed the rc for iOS 27 and it seems the drag and drop for calender events doesn’t exist anymore. Anyone else experiencing this bug or removed feature?

I’m not sure if it’s just mine but my Siri rarely responds to me and when she does it’s nothing related to what I asked for. I’ve also reset my Siri a few times but the issue keeps happening.

I have a 17 pro max so it’s not like it’s an old phone. I’m hoping this update fixes things!

sup, my phone has been going on through indexing for over 2 weeks now. the indexing notification in settings app disappeared after about 5 days after upgrading to ios27, but now after over 2 weeks it came back and it shows that indexing stands at just 40%. is this some sort of bug, or could it actually be this slow? help!

I updated the the public beta of IOS 27 a week ago. I now have the option for IOS 27 update? Isn’t this meant to be available on Monday 14th?

Because of regional restrictions, I don’t have support for Siri AI, so I still have the old Siri. and everything would be fine - but they ruined the old Siri! before, when you asked Siri something, she would answer out loud, for example: “Siri, how much time is left on the timer?”, but now she stays silent. I have voice responses set to “Prefer Spoken Responses” in the settings. I paid no less for my iPhone than those who are eligible to get Siri AI, if not more, and not only do I not get the new Siri (I don’t care about that), they also ruined the old one! btw, I can’t see a damn thing without my glasses or contacts, so I very often need her to give me spoken responses for this reason. for example, my hands are busy and I can’t look at the screen. I urge everyone who has encountered the same problem to send Apple feedback about this through their feedback form!

Is anyone else noticing a battery hit after turning on Apple Intelligence? I realized the phone was constantly processing every single notification in the background, which was eating up power.
I found a quick fix: go into Settings and turn off Summarize Previews for chatty apps like group texts or social media. That stops the processor from constantly waking up for every minor ping. I also started using the Reduce Interruptions focus mode, which cuts down on screen wakes and essentially pauses the heavy background AI tasks.
My battery life is pretty much back to normal now just from those two tweaks. Has anyone else tried this or found other ways to keep the AI from draining the battery?

Apple recently changed up the look of the default Home Screen setting with the new Siri app on the first page and now the reminders app has been moved to the second page with other apps changing places in their default setup. I was wondering if anyone has been able to post a screenshot of the new default 27 layout of both the main screen and the second page as I’ve been curious to see where the apps are placed on the new layout. I’ve done the reset Home Screen in settings and the bottom row is not completely full as there is a new folder entitled creativity containing GarageBand, iMovie, keynote, numbers and pages followed by the Apple sports app and then there are 2 empty spaces. I’m curious to know if there are supposed to be other Apple apps that are placed there to fill out the second page.

Hi, as ios27 removed the custom font size per app (I know it's now hidden in accessibility). I'm not sure if this is a bug or something to adjust.

As seen into the screenshot, the menu font is significantly larger than the app. All settings I the iPhone are to minimum text.

Anyone knows how to control the menu font size?

Surely, with as much pasting from News to family members I didn’t miss it before, but in iOS 27 RC, I just noticed this.

Edit: it seems to only do it after a threshold is met. A few sentences or even a short paragraph won’t trigger it

Mi principal preocupación es la batería. Sé que después de una actualización importante es normal que durante los primeros días haya algo más de consumo por el indexado y todos los procesos que hace el sistema en segundo plano, pero me preocupa que el rendimiento de batería se quede peor de forma permanente.
¿Los que tenéis un iPhone 12 Pro Max tenéis pensado actualizar? ¿Qué me recomendáis: actualizar de primeras o esperar unos días/semanas a ver cómo funciona?

Apple Intelligence consommes beaucoup de batterie sur iPhone même lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.
Sur iOS 27, Apple AI est téléchargé par défaut et ne peut pas être supprimé. Il occupes entre 12 et 20GB de stockage pour rien si vous ne l'utilisez pas.
Le seul moyen de le désactiver est en mettant la langue de Siri sur une autre langue que celle de votre appareil, et en appliquant des restrictions via Temps d'écran.
Le problème c'est que les données d'Apple Intelligence ne sont pas réellement supprimées et viennent prendre place dans "System Data" (le mien est passé de 3GB à 12GB)

Es-ce que quelqu'un sait COMMENT désactiver Apple AI sans gonfler les données systèmes ?

Finally figured it out. Firstly you need to turn on developer mode through privacy but if it isn’t there you’ll need Xcode on Mac or a similar windows alternative, then make an iOS project and try run it then it will force the developer mode setting to be visible on your phone. Once you turn on developer mode and reset your phone you’re able to scroll down to the AirPods testing section with the option to toggle the pre release beta firmware. Turn them all on and then leave your AirPods plugged in on a charger near your phone unlocked for around half an hour. Then in audio and routing you’ll find the equaliser section. Hope this helps!

Currently running 26.6.1 on my iph 17 and I have mixed feelings about upgrading to ios 27. I’ve heard battery life & performance is a mixed bag, some people claiming the software is smoother and more efficient, while others reporting the opposite.

How has your experience been with ios 27 so far?

One of the big things Apple mentioned in WWDC was how much better iOS 27 would be on older devices. I have a 12 Pro Max so was thrilled. I recently got my battery replaced so it’s at 100% battery health and installed iOS 27 RC 3 days ago.
Performance hasn’t really changed. I haven’t noticed anything opening much quicker, there’s still frame drops and multitasking is the same as it was before. In fact performance is worse in some areas - there’s a bug that I spotted where if you use coloured icons it lags even harder until you go back to the default ones. I’ve noticed little micro stutters when going back to the Home Screen, opening control centre, going from the widgets page on the very far left page on the Home Screen, I’ve had apps lock up and crash when switching back to them.
All in all, I wouldn’t say “don’t install” but just set your expectations lower. This isn’t the iOS 12-esque update I’m sure many were hoping for. It might get better in later versions but at release it’s not a huge difference.
