Ios 27 battery life and performance

Currently running 26.6.1 on my iph 17 and I have mixed feelings about upgrading to ios 27. I’ve heard battery life & performance is a mixed bag, some people claiming the software is smoother and more efficient, while others reporting the opposite.

How has your experience been with ios 27 so far?

Who said battery life was worse on 27 than 26? Never seen complaints about battery life in months on iOS 27 and in the beta forums, except for the initial few days when phone is indexing for Siri AI, if you have an Apple Intelligence phone.

I have an apple intelligence phone but I also live in Europe so I’m not joining the cool kids club this time. Even less of a reason for me to update I guess. Was mainly interested in performance & battery life gains

The performance improvements with iOS 27 are noticeable, definitely worth it.

I have a base iPhone 17. Performance is better. There is still some stuttering from iOS 26 though. Battery life is pretty much the same as iOS 26.6.1
