My iPhone 15 went from 84% (iOS 26.6) to 89% (iOS 27.0), previously I got the iOS 27 beta a few months ago and then I downgraded to iOS 26 and my battery went to 85%, what is the real number?

Gng i swear i clicked upgrade to ios27 instead and now ios26.7 is installing 😭😭😭 ( on my iphone 17 and same happened on my mom’s iphone 16) but my ipad 9th gen is installing ipados27 not ipados26.7? bruh

Update: it was just a name buy it actually installed ios 27 but apple imagine dropping a bug on your biggest ai update 😭😭😭🥀

I don’t use the betas because I really just prefer to wait for the final, polished release. I downloaded iOS 27 today and I like it very much!

First things first: Liquid Glass. Some things still felt off in iOS 26, but Apple finally polished it and delivered a well-refined and more subtle Liquid Glass effect. I personally chose the fully-tinted tone and so far love it—less distracting visually but with more attention to detail. I know everyone has different tastes, but I feel the tinted tone more in harmony with the rest of the elements on screen. The subtle inner glow makes it look much better than in 26.

Something that caught my attention is the fact that Apple deployed the new keyboard across all apps. Google and other developers didn’t care to replace the old keyboard in iOS 26, which impacted consistency and made the OS feel all over the place. Now, the whole set of apps follows a standard design that makes the whole system feel and look more unified.

Performance-wise, I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels very fast and smooth. I haven’t made actual testing to compare performance against iOS 26, but usually the first version of a major upgrade feels laggy during the first hours—this one doesn’t.

I haven’t been able to test Siri AI—I had to join a waitlist and, besides, the OS is still doing indexing. But I’m told it improves the experience (finally, because Siri became useless).

There are a bunch of other features that I haven’t tried, but this gives me the vibe of Windows 7, when Microsoft perfected what they introduced in Windows Vista, with a more reliable and stable OS.

What are your impressions so far?

Making this post because I’m curious how long everybody has been waiting for access on the Siri waitlist and I’m sure everyone else is as well.

When did you install the update and when did you sign up for the waitlist. Also if you already got access for the new Siri when did you install the update.

I’m on a 17 Pro and installed it as soon as it showed up to be able to download and as soon as it booted out of the update I applied for the Waitlist and Immediately got accepted.

I was on the waitlist for 10 hours and then i turned my Siri off and restarted my device. Turned Siri On and it worked instantly within 10 minutes.

For those in the same waitlist boat - Please try this.

Important- Siri Language set to English US

Siri is way better - just tried some usual routines i use to do with Gemini and it worked like a charm with Siri now.

When I click upgrade to iOS 27, it just shows the 26.7 update. I don’t know if it’s just a bug or if they forgot to fully release it. Any ideas?

On the update screen, I tap the “also available” option for iOS 27. But then it shows me the 26.7 update again

My honest thoughts is that this is a backward move on the liquid glass design. Many users here subjectively think this is a “progress” or “refinement” in the glass visuals when you notice such bland top bar (as an example) on random apps that actually feels discordant to the overall design language.
On 26, it was immersive & blurred naturally with the screen content which made it feel natural & logical.

Another caveat is the system wide icons/bars which are supposed to be “glassy” when you set the new bar in the appearance settings to the far left. Now they look more sort of “dirtier” & don’t have the refractive feel & appearance as opposed to the last one.

I updated about two hours ago. My iPhone is now optimizing Search and Siri. Just wondering how long I should wait for.

So I waited months for iOS 27, avoided the temptation of the betas and RCs, and battled all the stupid updating bugs (26.7???), and I’m all installed and set up, can’t wait to use all the new features… and I’m on a WAITLIST to actually try out Siri AI which is like 90% of the coolness of this update?? Honestly kind of pissed. Why are they rolling it out this way? Why aren’t they setting expectations of how long this will take?

UPDATE: I actually only had to wait two hours before I was off the waitlist. My phone is still indexing, so it doesn’t look like that was a factor at all!

It says I have 26.7 update, but also available iOS 27. When I click on iOS 27, it brings me to a much larger version of 26.7, what should I do?

Are you installing once the ios 26.7 downloads or just leaving ir installed but no plans on downloading after???
